“It is always such a pleasure to come to Maman, the food is always amazing, and the service is even better. Kate, in particular, was so kind, and made us feel so welcomed. She always had a smile on her face, and even took the time to have a conversation with me. You can tell she puts her heart into Maman, and is passionate about making sure everything is of quality. I am excited to not only come to Maman again for the amazing food and coffee, but also to see Kate.“

“Atmosphere is magical and you can tell the owners have put a lot of care for curating a special experience for their customers.

Where it could use improvement is having the staff trained to be more friendly and customer service oriented. Though the cafe was not busy, the staff was not friendly. Fixing this one piece would help the cafe continue to shine.

I don't usually eat gelato, so I was pleasantly surprised by the creaminess. The service was excellent; I wasn’t sure what to choose, but the cashier helped me by offering samples and sharing details about each flavor I tried. One of the chocolate flavors I sampled was incredibly rich and chocolatey—it's water-based and vegan-friendly, which was a first for me! The restaurant was nice, clean, and had indoor seating that could accommodate several people, but I decided to take my treat to go.“

We have two young children and it is much easier to manage them outside and there was no one else out there. “My husband and I stopped in on a hot morning walk in Old Town and were so sad we hadn’t ventured into the shop before! I have celiac disease and was able to chat with the friendly staff about what would be safe/unsafe for my dietary restrictions. I ended up with a strawberry tea and it was perfectly sweetened. My husband, a bit more adventurous with his boba tea, got a passion fruit tea with bobas - which he consumed way faster than he wanted because it was so good. We will be back! I only took off a star for atmosphere because it was so small and there was very limited seating.“

“We stumbled upon this gem after getting off the National Harbor bus. We were looking for another restaurant it was not in sight and it was so hot outside. We ventured into an alley and saw this place. Nice people and wonderful service. Food was prompt and delicious. I had a bacon egg and cheese on plain bacon, cheese danish and coffee. Hubby had turkey sandwich with coffee.

“I love this place! Perfect location to stop in for a quick drink to-go or sit for awhile and study or work on something. Ample seating, good wifi, and a few outlets scattered but not at all tables. I love coming here when I need to get out of the house for my studying and have a nice change of scenery and a good drink. They also have a couple table top games (Jenga, decks of cards, etc) if you’re here with kids or with friends. The employees are super nice and the drinks are always amazing! Great prices for what you get and I appreciate their long hours. Highly recommend!“
