“Love this location. First got to give a big shout out to Jay and Wend. I call these two the dynamic duo of the team. They get your order and have your drink and food made in short order and on its way to you. And they do this while greeting every single person who comes through the door with Good Morning. All week they’ve been on it while the store has been slam busy with a major conference in town. Great job guys and appreciate the amazing service while I’ve been visiting the area. Keep up the great work!“

“The McDonald’s at National Harbor is a surprising gem! Beyond the reliable favorites on the menu, the location offers stunning views of the National Harbor, making it a unique spot for a quick bite. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast or enjoying a late-night meal, the scenic backdrop adds an unexpected charm to the experience. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!“

“Great place. Wish they would open a 2nd place at Liberty Exchange in Sykesville - 2 units still open for a nice coffee place (that isn’t Starbucks!) one is right next to Basta Pasta!!“

“COFFEE: Cortado was a bit on the bitter side for me initially, but there was a sweet aftertaste later. Likely just the roast and not how it’s made.
Note: no beans on hand for purchase when I was there.
STAFF: nice, efficient. Busy outpost location so not much interaction.
FOOD: didn’t purchase.
DECOR: it’s like an outpost location, so really just a bit more than a kiosk. The location is inside the La Consecha ‘hub’ so there’s seating all over, different food stalls, an upper floor area w more comfortable seating that we didn’t go to.
Not their fault, it’s just the place where they put the outpost location doesn’t offer a lot for coffee house vibes (if that’s what you’re looking for).“

“It felt like a beautiful fall afternoon. Where only a cup of mocha would make it better. I walked to a quaint coffee house at a corner of two roads in a V, across trees in orange and red. 8 green chairs and 2 brown benches put up in small circles under a canopy. There was a cute patio with string lights across, allowing just enough warm sunlight through horizontal patterns. Plants breathing in as they had been there forever. Murmurs and faint conversations followed.
I opened a glass door to enter as a bell above me rang. There were 3 baristas behind a counter creating art , soaking in some music. There was a huge menu on a chalk wall which I chose not to read. I knew what I wanted.
I walked to the girl with a huge smile behind a billing screen on the other side of the counter,
“I feel special”, I said.
“We have these 3 special drinks available today”, she said.
I looked at the 3 drinks and it just didn’t click.
“Do you like Matcha”, she asked.
“I like matcha”, I answered.
“We have a matcha inspired tea.”
“I like tea, but today feels like a coffee kind of fall afternoon. Can you make me a mocha?!”, I asked.
“Hmmm… Let’s get you a special Mocha! Maybe a baklava latte but fused for chocolate”
I liked what was going on in an artist’s head. Today felt special. I wanted that original piece. I wanted this artist’s monalisa.
The Baristas – an ensemble of 3 – had a quick discussion. They ran thru the flavor profile of this new drink. With precision, he blended coffee, with oat milk & chocolate. I stood by and watched, my drink being made with special detail. And to finish it my drink had a latte art specialist. I breathed in anticipation.
They placed my mug on a glass counter.
“Here is your drink, let us know how you like it.”
I carefully threaded the coffee mug with two hands to my lips & took a sip.
“It tastes like a beautiful fall afternoon”“

“We had the best time at KooKoo DC last night. They accommodated a table of 14 for my spouse's birthday and never let us feel like an imposition. The food was so fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced - I did a double take when we got the bill. I even felt like we went all-out with apps, drinks, and desserts! The owner was also so kind - we just felt so cared for the whole time and can't wait to visit again.“

“Lot 38 Expresso Bar is a hidden gem in DC and my absolute favorite breakfast spot. I ate here almost daily for 3 years when I lived nearby, and now I make it a point to stop in whenever I'm in town.
Their vanilla latte is perfection - smooth and completely free of bitterness. The sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on a soft, perfectly toasted bagel hits the spot every time with its ideal balance of ingredients.
What truly sets Lot 38 apart is the ownership. The proprietor is incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready with a friendly smile and witty conversation that can turn any bad day around.
Whether you need a quick breakfast on your way to work or a cozy spot for a meeting with friends or colleagues, Lot 38 delivers. It's versatile, delicious, and guaranteed to become your new favorite breakfast spot in DC.“

“Incredible little café with an outstanding pastry selection and some of the best coffee available in DC! This hole-in-the-wall spot is located in the heart of Adams Morgan, where space is limited but the vibrancy and vibes are not. Soleluna adds to the cool, artsy energy of the neighborhood with their warm, friendly staff, unique assortment of pastries, and awesome Ecuadorian coffee. The coffee has genuinely never missed; I love the beans themselves, so I normally opt for an americano or a latte, but they also have a ton of homemade syrups that are just absolutely incredible. Whether you're a bitter or a sweet coffee drinker, Soleluna has you covered!
They also have a fun selection of pastries, including fruity, tropical options like their guava or passionfruit croissant, or their mango danish. If something savory is a bit more your speed, they also have a classic ham and cheese croissant, everything bagel danish, and outstanding leek quiche. I usually go for something classic, like their standard croissant or pain au chocolat, but everything -- from the basics to the specialty -- are perfectly executed, phenomenally flaky, and 100% delicious.
The shop is quite small, so, while there's a couple of small tables available outside, you're most likely going to have to take your order to go. There's barely enough space for the line to wrap around inside of the café, but I promise both the wait and the hassle of finding a new spot to enjoy your treats is completely worth it.“

“Fantastic cafe to work from. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, coffee is predictable, food and pastries are solid. I wish there were more outlets but I've never had an issue charging up for work. In the warmer months they have additional outdoor seating as well. Support this small business :)“

“Had a wonderful experience grabbing a coffee here today. The store has mugs, shirts and hoodies and the theme is Everyone inclusive. Staff was lovely, even after an entitled woman demanded free items. The staff wrote a kind message in the cups. Highly recommended everyone visiting to stop in and grab a drink or snack!!“

“Came for a tasting as part of Tasting Collective and was glad I did. This was truly a great experience. The 5 course tasting had 2 courses (1st & 4th) that needed to be altered as I'm a pescetarian therefore, don't eat duck. So in place of the duck paté, I was served figs and brie and in place of the duck breast I was served branzino. Each course was nicely paired with wine, again adding to this wonderful experience.
The fig and brie with the croutons was delicious, followed by the roasted pear with gouda, pecans and pomegranate sprinkles which was a delightful tasty plate. Who would think white chocolate and cauliflower purée would be delicious and pair beautifully with seared scallops? Clearly Chef Moore did and how right was he. That purée had folks at our table scraping to get all of it. The next course was a substitute dish and was beyond disappointing, especially compared to the other 3 courses. The branzino was BLAND, but the olives that were on the side were extra salty. I thought I was supposed to eat them together, but that didn't help. I couldn't even eat this course. The final course was a butterscotch pudding, a great way to end the meal/night.
Chef Moore was very welcoming. He answered questions and took pictures with the guests.
I'll definitely add this to my list of restaurants.“

“Pub like atmosphere with an eclectic menu. Service was pretty good, and certainly helpful and friendly. The menu is somewhat like a tapas place in that the portions are fairly small and if you go hungry, you may need to order more than one. Has an outside area, heated, where you enjoy the official bird song of Washington DC - the police siren.“

“This place is wayyy too expensive for me to go here but my girlfriend looooves their ice cream more than she loves me, so I've been here a few times. I don't like flavored ice cream that much so I usually get plain (not vanilla!) when I get ice cream, but you shouldn't do that at this place. The flavors actually add to the ice cream instead of take away from it. The texture is good too, but that's true of a lot of places.
So I would say, yes, go here if you can afford it. And if you like ice cream.“

“Amazing coffee, pastries, sandwiches and breakfast croissants. We have coffee shops in Old Town that are closer to us but make the trip to Grounded because it's that good. When my husband and I were planning our wedding, only one place came to mind for dessert to wow our guests. We didn't want a traditional cake, we wanted something that would have everyone asking us where we got the desert. The items we selected were a hit and recommend for not only visiting but catering.
The coffee shop itself is comfy and cozy. It gets busy on the weekends so make sure to go early if you want to get a breakfast croissant.
Thank you Carla & Sebastian for putting your magic touch on our wedding. We appreciate you two and your business.“
“I was in a training near the 15th Street location of Zeke’s. Found it the first morning and went back every day. Shared my experience with others and we all loved it. A local was amazed at her coffee and will be a regular now. The employees were so kind and remembered my order every single day. Best dirty chai I’ve ever had! Quality coffee. Friendly employees. Great prices.“

“I love the vibe at Tatte Bakery—it's a great spot to work or hang out with friends. The atmosphere is great, and it’s just a nice place to be. But, honestly, the wait times are kind of frustrating. I ordered drinks online, and it still took over 20 minutes, which feels like forever when you're just waiting for coffee. Still, I'll keep coming back because the space is awesome.“

“The best coffee experience I have had in DC. The only recommendation I would give would be to offer a sugar free sweetener like Splenda or similar that doesn’t have an aftertaste. I understand why these places only offer Stevia, but what it means is that if I want my coffee sweet I also have to change the flavor of the coffee. And I feel like the coffee here is too good to screw it up with an aftertaste.“

“ESP Tea & Coffee!
Mmm-mmm-mmm!
And that is all!
Jk! My Mom and I visited them this summer, and ended up meeting the couple who run it! The husband took us on a tour around the Cafe. There's a really cool mural and outdoor space in the back. He took our pictures! ART IS EVERYWHERE! Super cool, chill, down to earth, humanist, colorful, positive vibe! Great music! If I lived in Alexandria, ESP would be my hang out!
I brought home a bag of their "Dream Chaser" Whole Bean Decaf. One of the most beautiful coffees I've ever had in my life! I mean, color, texture, the creme, ooohh the taste! I can't believe it's Decaf! It's a miracle roast and no jitters!
The Cafe has a great story, and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable! My only negatives: the price points on their teas and beans are very high. Ask the staff what the prices are so you don't overspend. Double check your receipt. I had to have them remove some accidental charges, yet they were super kind and resolved the matter.
Enjoy ESP! If I'm ever in Alexandria Old Town, I will DEFINITELY be back!“

“Whenever I'm in DC in the morning hours, I always make sure to stop by swings for one of their seasonal special drinks. The lattes are always great, what I especially appreciate that the syrup doesn't sink to the bottom and blends well into the drink, which I find to be an issue at times. Highly recommend a visit.“

““Exceptional coffee that is worth a special journey.” The absolute best Italian-style coffee shop (+pour overs) in the city. The espresso-based drinks are on par with, if not better, than any I’ve had in Italy itself. My only personal tasting note is that the espresso roast they use is a little light for solo shots of espresso, at least for my palate, as it feels a little tart. I like a solo shot to be more of a rich, toasted kind of thing. But when mixed with hot water in the americano or a little touch of milk in the macchiato or the cortado, the result is sublime. The flavor profile of the espresso-based drinks is so dynamic. You have to try the macchiato or the cortado here. Also, the pour overs are fantastic and I find the descriptions of the pour over options, of which there are usually at least 5–ranging from lighter to darker—are spot on. If there were Michelin stars for coffee shops, I’d give this place 3: “Exceptional coffee that is worth a special journey.”“

“No menus. No options for menus. No list of places. No signs saying what anyone offers (except for Linda's). Switching between eateries in a drop down is a hassle. “Cute place to grab breakfast. I give it 4 stars, it’s just a hyped up breakfast spot. The bagels were okay and the service was very good. No space inside to eat so be prepared to eat it outside, we didn’t mind since it was beautiful out but check the weather prior to arriving. I would come back if I am close by but I wouldn’t take an uber 25 minutes for a bagel here.“
