“Everything went well. I got the honey almond flat. I never had a ristretto before and wanted to try it. It was delicious. I asked for 3 pumps of syrup instead of four and it was just right. This Starbucks is in a hospital so it's small.“

“I’ve been to SOST twice now and I’ll be making it my third this Friday without a doubt. I’ll tell you this was a top tier experience from beginning to end each time I’ve come, but this time particularly takes the cake. “This is absolutely one of my favorite places to go! The Roost was my go to during the pandemic with tons of outdoor seating. Since it was in my neighborhood we frequented a lot. The staff watched my little one practically grow up there! It became our meeting place and neighborhood watering hole. Quick and efficient and some of the best food and customer service! We’ve moved from the area but always stop by when in town because it feels like home!“

“I enjoyed this place. A-. The food was good, although ordering was a little confusing. I had a Jerusalem bagel which I've never had before, but enjoyed it very much. It's a busy place so be prepared to have to figure out how to do the ordering and then getting a seat. If I lived locally I would eat at this place a lot.“

Limited seating in winter but enough and looks like a fun patio for warmer weather. It's in a a neighborhood and good for people watching and just being a part of daily routine of DC.“

“Finally, a delicious and reasonably priced cafe has arrived in Shaw! The staff is INCREDIBLY kind (and dog friendly), the pastries and sandwiches are excellent, and if you’re in a rush but need a good coffee, you can get in and out within 5 mins. I highly recommend Cafe Joy!!!“

“I stopped by Pitango for dessert, and it definitely hit the spot! 😋 I tried two flavors: Stracciatella (vanilla with chocolate chips) and Fondente (dark chocolate). I don't usually eat gelato, so I was pleasantly surprised by the creaminess. The service was excellent; I wasn’t sure what to choose, but the cashier helped me by offering samples and sharing details about each flavor I tried. One of the chocolate flavors I sampled was incredibly rich and chocolatey—it's water-based and vegan-friendly, which was a first for me! The restaurant was nice, clean, and had indoor seating that could accommodate several people, but I decided to take my treat to go.“

“Update : came in today (May 8 - 9:10am) for breakfast with a client. Again, the same brunette - wearing jeans and a white blouse this time - was a delight. Must’ve caught her on a bad day last time. Kudos. My apologies. The breakfast was great and the service from entry to exit was fantastic.
Visited this restaurant on April 18, 2026 between 9-10:30 AM. The brunette wearing a white dress with blue flowers was extremely rude. The food would have been better had she not put a bad taste in my mouth before I ordered my food.“

“The gelato I had was absolutely delicious! While it wasn't as creamy as Pitango's, I really enjoyed the variety of flavors they offered. I ordered a three-flavor cup and chose Black and White Cookie Batter, Dark Chocolate Fudge, and Dulce de Leche Chip. Each flavor was delightful! The restaurant was quite busy, which was a good sign considering its prime location near shopping stores and not far from Chinatown. There was plenty of seating available for customers to sit and savor their treats or coffee. Despite the crowd, the cashiers did an excellent job attending to everyone and even offered samples.“
