Finally, a delicious and reasonably priced cafe has arrived in Shaw! The staff is INCREDIBLY kind (and dog friendly), the pastries and sandwiches are excellent, and if you’re in a rush but need a good coffee, you can get in and out within 5 mins. I highly recommend Cafe Joy!!!
Came here twice on my trip to DC because the staff was so friendly. The lox croissant was divine, so fresh, and they add everything bagel seasoning which gives it a nice crunch and saltiness that cuts through the fat of the lox and cream cheese. The second time I had the sunrise pita, generous portion very flavorful.
I love exploring different coffee shops in DC to see which is my favorite. So when I saw the rating for this place, I knew I had to check it out. Absolutely lives up to the hype. I highly recommend especially for my fellow black coffee drinkers.

Green's has a great selection of drinks and food. The cold brew is really good and fantastic, perfectly brewed. They also have vegan tarts and croissants, a homemade lemon poppy seed muffin, and sandwiches. The space is clean and cozy, with a simple and authentic atmosphere. The staff are exceptionally kind, friendly, and fast. They anticipate needs and give away free food, especially to regular customers. The service is excellent, and the people working here are nice. Green's is a beautiful little cafe with high-quality drinks and a great playlist. The staff take great pride in their work and make the experience feel personal and welcoming.
