“Despite having limited staff they are efficient and make great drinks. I’ve been coming here more often and they have consistently made better drinks than the standalone Starbucks I was going to previously.I will say I’m basing this experience off the past year - since they renovated their space in the Target. They definitely have improved greatly since then staff wise!“
“Cute little local ice cream spot in east falls church! They have a good variety of flavors that include your classics, as well as some unique ones, like ube (sweet potato) and green tea. I tried s'mores and espresso chip, and both were awesome. They also have a variety of "wet" and "dry" toppings, coffee, and "pupsicles."They don't have much seating (inside or outside), but it's a great little area to walk around if you can't find a spot inside.“
“This is one of the best pastry shops I have ever been too! Their coffee is quality and the baked goods are incredible!! It is worth the drive from Alexandria to little Hollin Hall any day of the week. Also, the staff is very friendly and efficient as the wait in line is never very long. You must visit here!“
“This place has the BEST bacon egg and cheese sandwich that I've ever had! The woman at the counter was extremely friendly and provided great service. I HIGHLY recommend going here, you won't be disappointed! I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu.“
“Absolutely amazing customer service and quality of food. They are accommodating for dietary restrictions and were very helpful talking to me about gluten free options. They offer GF toast and are accommodating to warm it up separately from other bread and wearing gloves to avoid cross contamination. 10/10 experience hereDietary restrictions: Gluten free bread available“
“I scream for ice cream alright. My first time here. Though it's a small shop the variety of ice cream flavors was awesome. I tasted a few and it was a tough decision to just pick two flavors. the berry berry strawberry was really good, so was the unique steam oil flavor with green colored caramel lol. I ended up with the raspberry truffle and milk chocolate. MILK CHOCOLATE IS NOW MY FAVE FLAVOR AND I STILL THINK ABOUT IT lol. can't wait to go back. Also great friendly service. No space to sit inside but there were a few public benches near the store. :)“
“Our first time at this place and my partner and I really enjoyed it. We got the four cheese grilled cheese with tomato soup, breakfast croissant, and a blueberry banana muffin. All delicious, especially with added avocado on the mound of grilled cheeeeeeeese.“
“Vienna's first indie coffee house. Boho vibe. Check out the walls of LP (vinyl) album covers. The centerpiece is the bright yellow coffee roasting machine.Once, I had ordered my usual double shot cappuccino, but I didn't hear my name called to pick up the drink at the counter. After 10 minutes, the barista called my name and I went to the counter. The barista noted that the cappuccino had been sitting on the counter for 10 minutes and volunteered to make me a new drink. Moreover, she brought the cappuccino to my table.“
“Stopped by for a late lunch with a friend. What an incredible place! Staff was super friendly, and the food was amazing (I was stuffed and had enough for tomorrow's lunch to take home). Their coffee was amazing and plentifulI wish I had saved room for dessert as the selection looked great!“
“Did a coffee cupping class this past weekend and the coffees we sampled were very tasty. Unfortunately, I have yet to try any specialty drinks, but my wife ordered herself a drink and something to eat and was impressed with both. We would definitely come back here!“
“Food was great. It was our second experience of Ethiopian food in DC during the Presidents day weekend. The staff made accommodations for our kid who does not tolerate spicy food. We ordered the Family Vegetarian Platter which was more than enough for two well-eating adults. Our kid loved the fish filet as well.“
“Been going to this Peet's for years near the library and the espresso drinks are always great! I like extra shots to sip on over time. That can make a drink bitter (and Peet's is stronger coffee than most anyway) but not with these baristas. Wonderful baristas here who are warm and funny. Really enjoy the "porch" area outside too where you can read/study or just chill, very relaxing space. Always fast service and kindness. Love this Peet's!!!“
“I didn't go to this coffee shop very often in the past because I felt that the customer service was cordial, but not super friendly. The employees always seemed to be talking to each other and only working when they had to work (ie when a customer came in). However, during the month of December, I decided to stop in to get my husband a bag of coffee and I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service and my chai latte. I asked for a recommendation similar to French roast and the young lady looked up the information on her computer and gave me the recommendation. She was very helpful. I purchased the bag and my husband really liked it! As for the chai latte, in the past, it was never sweetened, so when I took it to my car to drink--boy, was it bitter! This time, the chai latte was sweetened for me. I appreciated that very much. Some of the reviews on here complain that the quality of the coffee has declined. To be honest, my tastebuds are not as good as they used to be since menopause (TMI!!), so I couldn't attest to quality of drinks. As for the increase in prices, I never went often enough for it to make a dent in my checkbook, but inflation has hit everywhere, hasn't it? I cannot think of any place that has NOT increased prices. The one critique I have is that the new employees probably need more training, not only in how to make drinks, but perhaps in counting back change. The man--who was not young--gave me incorrect change. It was off by 10 cents, but still.....that's a pretty important skill. For everything else, I like the improvements in the decor and also the improvements in customer service. I have actually started going in more often due to the new changes.“
“I can honestly say that this all-day-Café has inspired me to be a better person. And it all starts with kind people serving the BEST coffee in the DMV. No joke. I cannot help but buy my own Counter Culture roasters beans for our home brewing, and am so glad that TBC serves their beans. Food (think gourmet small plates) is always a slam dunk. Period. Whether I’m popping in for a quick drip coffee or staying and spending HOURS working remotely (thank GAWD for their perfectly made decaf cortados!!) TBC has a very very special and real place in my heart. Love these guys deeply :) can’t visit enough and can’t give them enough of my money. Family run joint with amazing owner/management. Proud to be part of their family!Kid-friendliness: Always see owners kids popping in in the morning for a quick breakfast bite. I think they have three(!?!) kids…so sweet and so kid-friendly!“
“When you first walk in the ambiance is really nice. All of the cupcakes, cookies etc are out on display for you to pick from. On the side wall is a GTA x Bakeshop mural which is pretty cool. We ordered the oatmeal raisin blue berry and snickerdoodle cookie along with a peanut butter Nutella cake slice. Overall everything was pretty good no real complaints. The cookies are large so $3ish wasn't bad but I wish the cupcakes were a bit bigger.“
“I recently visited a charming cafe that left me craving for more! The food, especially the desserts, were incredibly tasty and indulgent. The cafe's ambiance was cozy and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a delightful dining experience. The menu offered a wide variety of options, but the desserts stole the show. From rich and creamy cheesecakes to decadent chocolate fudge, every bite was a delight. They know how to satisfy a sweet tooth. I highly recommend this cafe for anyone looking to indulge in delicious and mouthwatering desserts.“
“A very nice coffee shop on King St in Alexandria. With a large variety of coffee, tea and pastries. I was in heaven. Got amazing service and learned the proper way to drink Turkish coffee. The food was delicious. I honestly felt like I should be on vacation watching the sunset.“
“A Korean tea house with a theater. The theater part is a project cartoon on the wall. There are western style tables and an area where you can sit at low tables on the floor after removing your shoes. Most of the limited menu is sweet with rice flour waffles with rice syrup with sesame seeds, toasted and ground up, or bingsoo which is a shaved ice dessert, with red beans and mochi. There are other toppings as well but mainly… this place is pricey. $24 for a bingsoo. It is meant for sharing but still… my mug of ice roasted dandelion tea was seven bucks. The small bowl of ice cream with red beans and cornflakes cost $12. At your table, there is a QR code so you can order and the order is delivered to your table. We had a waiter who came over and she also brought our stuff to us even though supposedly we had to go pick it up from the counter. This tea house is a good place for families and others who want a non alcoholic, non bar atmosphere — also at night. But the prices! #teahouse #koreanteahouse #annandaleva Also, this is more like modern day Korean cafes. Mostly Korean Americans as this place is hidden in a side mall in Annandale.“
“I was in DTSS running an errand, had a hankering for breakfast sandwich and stumbled upon this charming cafe. The women who took my order and prepared my food was refreshingly kind, warm, and genuine. The bacon egg and cheese croissant was hot, fresh, and perfectly prepared with REAL ingredients. The latte was delicious and put Starbucks to shame. I will gladly return to this small business anytime I’m in DTSS. Oh and the pastries looked delectable. Regrettably I didn’t get to try any.“
“I am not a coffee drinker so I cannot comment on their coffee but anytime I come in to grab a bite to eat, the staff is friendly and attentive and the food is fantastic. Grabbed lunch there again today and had their Chipotle Chicken Avocado sandwich.“
“Found this cute and wonderful spot when I was getting my car serviced nearby. The coffee is top notch. High quality. Cafe clean and nice design. I got the an Americano and tuna melt sandwich. It was great experience.the staff are friendly and professional. I highly recommend Cafe V.“
“The espresso is pretty decent! I’ve been searching for a nice café in the vicinity and this might be my go to. The vibes and options were great. Price is a little steep, but a good trade off for the quality.Parking could be a nightmare. And if you can help it, definitely opt to have the drinks inside/for here. The to-go cups do NOT travel well. I had a 10min drive with a couple drinks and it went all over the place. The lids don’t have a good seal so you have to be careful picking up the cups, and the liquid seeps beyond the lid and drips so much. A mess in the car.“
“Love the muesli and the cafe mocha. The service is spotty however....they run out of popular baked goods too quickly..instead of ordering more. This is a fairly upscale neighborhood and there is no reason not to have items available in larger quantities. Simply watch for what people keep buying and if you run out of an item more than twice ORDER MORE. I have gone in early in the morning and been told items were already sold out before 9 am. Make sure the charges are correct before paying as well. I find the staff at the counter a bit thoroughly and they aren't offering some of the things they used to have and what they do have is pretty overpriced really. It's okay to go in and eat though sit at the counter even that's what I did most recently and the cafe mocha was delicious and I got the sSpinach quiche with the salad. It was very good this place could shine if the staff were a little better.“
“The best coffee in Silver Spring, the DMV, Maryland, and possibly the East Coast. I think even George Howell comes second to Nagadi.Beautifully roasted coffee that never disappoints. I would refuse to drink anything else if I had the will power to miss my morning cup.“
“I got the Callebaut Chocolate and Champurrado scoops from Mount Desert Island Ice Cream in D.C. Very rich and creamy. Yesterday was National Chocolate Day! And my family got Tres Leches, Sweet Cream, Callebaut Chocolate, Sea Salt Caramel, Four Oranges, and Strawberry. It's a good thing this ice cream shop isn't too close to me, or I would be in serious trouble! Highly recommend.“
“I brought my family here after a quick galavant around the American History Museum. The coffee shop was a bit further away than we thought it was and it was pretty windy and cold outside, so when we arrived at DUA DC cold, we were weary and ready to sit down for a little bit.On stepping inside the door we were immediately met with a line that was almost out the door. Turns out it wasn't actually that much of a line it was really just the result of more than three people standing in front of the counter. The shop is pretty narrow and there's not a lot of room near the front so things get congested pretty quickly, especially at busier times. In any case, we were able to place our order pretty quickly and went hunting for some seats. Unfortunately there really wasn't much available. We came at a pretty busy time and there were only about 5-6 tables inside which were all filled. It was about that time that my 6-month-old decided that she was hungry and would cry unceasingly until she had eaten. The problem was that there was literally nowhere for us to go – we just kind of wandered around with a crying infant trying to figure out what to do. Finally, I went up to the counter and asked the staff if they had any place where my wife could feed that wasn't the bathroom. Our entire experience changed from this point forward...Immediately one of the workers got her manager and asked if my wife could use the breakroom to which she unhesitatingly said yes and personally led her back and got her comfortable. About that time a table opened up and our drinks were ready. Seeing I was short-handed, the staff up front even offered to help me carry some of the drinks back to our table. It was a small thing but literally changed everything about the experience for us.The coffee itself was good. DUA has their own speciality roasts and do pour-overs on the weekends, which is a pretty rare thing for most coffee shops because it takes so much time. My wife ordered a vanilla latte and enjoyed that as well.Overall, we'd definitely go back here in the future. DUA really isn't a great place to sit and do work or hang out for an extended period of time, but it is a good cup of coffee and worth the trip.“
“First time eating in-store Dolcezza. The store was pretty small but have a counter and some chairs to sit and eat in. I got a large size with three flavors -- Mascarpone & Berries, Mango, and Chocolata. The cup is a decent size for two people. The texture was way better than the store-bought dolcezza. I like all the flavors but a bit pricey.“
“We worked with the team at Ebenezers Coffeehouse on a special order for the holidays and were blown away with the results. We can't recommend Bill and the entire team more highly. The quality, attention to detail, and professionalism was incredible throughout the experience. You should absolutely use this team for your catering and special events.“
“TLDR: Tasty coffee that did not disappoint. Variety of options and plenty of space. Definitely recommend.First Impression: Not great. But it was turned around quickly. The first thing I saw was a Starbucks like menu of seasonal drinks. That’s typically a bad sign for me. It says “we cater to people who don’t care about tasting the qualities in the coffee itself. But I stuck it out.About the coffee I had: I ordered a cappuccino for here. It came in a 8/10 oz cup and had a pleasent amount of foam, but not too much. It was a great texture. The espresso tasted great and the milk was expertly foamed.About the vibe: Plenty of space to hang out if that’s your goal. I sat at a high table with high stools, but there were plenty of standard square tables and some smaller wall seatings and bars at the window and the back overlooking where I assume they roast their coffee.About the staff: The staff was amazingly friendly and as I watched the barista make drinks, she seemed to know what she was doing. I watched her make seasonal drinks and cortados and cappuccini without missing a step. they also seemed to have good rapport with their regulars. It was a great little visit.“
“Coffee In is an amazing local coffee shop. The coffee alone is reason to come back as often as you can. Add in that everyone who works here is amazingly kind and the presence of the owners and I see no reason to go anywhere else! If you have a toddler, they even have a coffee cart you to help occupy them. My daughter loves it and it means I can sit and enjoy my coffee.Dietary restrictions: My daughter and I are allergic to dairy and have never had an issue with cross contamination here. They always have multiple milk options and even vegan bakery items we can eat, a rare find!“
“Visited this store after getting food from the Falls Church farmers market- seriously so so good. The servers are incredibly friendly, the food is fantastic - you won’t regret coming here! Ordered: feta borek, beef borek, potato borek, spinach flatbread and apple tea.“
“Hands down the best morning/afternoon cafe in DC.If you're looking to just hang out - or get to work, this is the spot to be.The music is phenomenal, the space is cozy, and the food is simple but soooooo tasty (try the humpty hump with turkey bacon and an everything bagel). The owner Nes is also a gem and will make sure your stay at Cafe U is nothing short of spectacular.Don't miss out on this special little space in the heart of the U St. corridor“
“Came here for my lunch break from work for some authentic turkish coffee. I was not dissapointed! I had 3 different people serve me throughout the week and each time they were so nice! I will definitely be back again if I am ever working in the area.“
“Doubles is my favorite coffee shop in DC. I think coffee here is great -- it's not over-roasted & bitter as coffee sold in some places (excessively roasted coffee indicates bad quality coffee, which commonly leads to stomach problems!). I've been greeted by my name and I'll likely add it to my dissertation acknowledgements. Try their cortado!“
“Due to the rave reviews, my husband and I stopped to check out this place before getting back to our state. I'm not a coffee drinker, but am learning about coffee and most, I do not like. It is true! Our café lattes are delicious and very smooth! This is one of only two coffee shops where I would return.“
“Jae was an amazing barista. I went to get my beans grounded and she was very helpful and friendly even with a line that started after my order. The manager was also very accomodating, doing her closing routine and helping Jae. Overall, a well managed Starbucks with excellent customer service but Jae is the REAL MVP! Thanks again Jae!“
“Overall a very good experience. I ordered sashimi deluxe and the fish was really fresh. The presentation of the dish was really pretty too. Really impressed by the quality of their fish. Also the appetizers were good. Just the service was kind of slow because there was only one person taking the order.“
“Fantastic coffee. I got a medium cold brew and it's up there with the best quality coffee that I've had, not only in DC but anywhere. Strong, flavorful, yet also smooth. Pretty large cup too for a medium which is nice. Not usually over in this part of the city but will definitely stop in when I am. Cheese Danish was decent as well.“
“Looking for something a little different for breakfast? Check out Cafe Sazon on Columbia Pike. This South American cafe offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.Wifey and I visited for a delicious Sunday breakfast. Both of our coffees (Cappuccino and latte) were great. She said her latte was velvety and my cappuccino had the perfect amount of foam. For entrees, she had the Huevos con Chorizo which came with puffy but dense tortillas. I had the El Mananero skillet which was delicious and plentiful. Both dishes had plantains which were also excellent. We’ll definitely be back.“
“Couldn’t be happier to have this as my neighborhood coffee shop. Lovely staff, consistently delicious coffee—both brewed and espresso-based, and a warm but elevated interior. The fact that it’s tucked away in the alley makes it feel even more like a hidden gem.“
“We got a variety of sweet treats from Cameron's Coffee and Chocolates and they were all delicious! We really enjoyed the dark chocolate hearts and pancake mini muffins. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely come back to try some other sweet treats!“
“Coffee and food is decent for the price. Space is large enough, but lots of people go there to study/work, so it might be hard to find a place to sit.Wheelchair accessibility: Although it is ground level, the interior can be a bit cramped to maneuver if full.“
“The place is amazing. The staff might not be the most experienced staff but they sure are very friendly. The food is authentic. The Ghormeh Sabzi stew tastes like the ones you’d have back home. The owner is also a very nice guy who is present and oversees the quality of food, talks to the customers for feedback and cares about your opinion. Definitely recommend it. If you miss the food back home or wanna be introduced to the delicious Persian Cuisine or already love it, this is the place to go.“
“Great pastries served on a disposable utensils (bummer!) It would give so much upgraded feel if it was even some basic but normal plates and utensils.Loved their opera cake, but a bit not sure why they called they awesome chocolate mousse "sacher" as it has nothing to do with the Austrian staple chocolate cake.“
“Go to coffee place in Navy Yard. I walk by many other coffee shop on my way here in the morning without a second thought. The espresso drinks and breakfast sandwich's are all delicious and high quality. Its also nice to support a local business and not a chain.“
“Third wave coffee roaster and café with a great atmosphere. They sell quality single origin roasts with roast dates on the bag (highly crucial and shockingly rare in this market.)They do pour-overs so you can actually sample the quality of the coffee they roast.Highly recommended for weird coffee people.“
“Great Gelatto. Great flavors. The gelatto didn’t have as much of a rich creamy texture that I’m accustomed to (having had so much from the finest Italian places around the world). But the peanut butter mash was just perfect paired with hazelnut crackle.Great service and great atmosphere. And clean washrooms!“
“The bagels are delicious! Super nice staff and the pink details on everything is adorably fun! Super small inside, no tables but a bench to wait if cold outside. It's instagramable outside brings in a crowd but do not worry, the food lives up to the hype, it's so good!“
“A delightful little spot with great tasting coffee and a decent array of well-priced, tasty snacks, pastries and other non-coffee drinks. Great prices too, and very friendly service. There are also plenty of seating options, and I worked very comfortably on my laptop for a few hours. It’s right on a square so it’s very comfortable area.I only wish they had some gluten free or other allergen options for their food, though I understand that’s a relatively small market.“
“As a recent transplant to Northern VA, things natives take for granted I find weird. Terrible traffic and the lack-luster behavior passing as customer service. My Safeway (yes--Mine...'cause I like it), has friendly employees. Not creepy 'too nice' robot people, but the real kind of attentive employees. The woman at the checkout who teases me about how much ice-cream I take home in one trip. The employees who know I can never remember the difference between hot peppers: they explain it to me at least three times a month. Yeah, the produce is fresh, the meat is prime and well priced. Oh, and their sour dough round loafs are excellent...just sayin. So, their goods are typical Northern VA fair: excellent quality and a touch more expensive than I'm used to, (but no more expensive than any other grocery I've been too). But I like Safeway (yes, because it's close to my house), but also because I feel like the employees see me. In an area with too many crazy drivers and frustrated fellow customers, being seen is no small thing.“
