The gelato I had was absolutely delicious! While it wasn't as creamy as Pitango's, I really enjoyed the variety of flavors they offered. I ordered a three-flavor cup and chose Black and White Cookie Batter, Dark Chocolate Fudge, and Dulce de Leche Chip. Each flavor was delightful! The restaurant was quite busy, which was a good sign considering its prime location near shopping stores and not far from Chinatown. Dolcezza Gelato is such a fun gelato spot in DC, and with several locations around the city, it’s an easy stop when you’re craving something sweet.
We tried Mascarpone & Berries, Thai Coconut Milk, Pistachio Siciliano, and Stracciatella. The Mascarpone & Berries was absolutely the bomb—creamy, fruity, and easily my favorite flavor of the bunch. The Thai Coconut Milk was also fantastic, while the pistachio and stracciatella were delicious classics.
