As a half-Turkish guy who grew up in the area, I spent a lot of time going to the Vienna bakery Cenan’s and was sad when it closed.

BorekG was founded by some of the same staff (some of the bakers), but has its own vibe, and a much warmer, folksier feel to it.

It’s great - and it’s very much of the area, run by two generations of a Turkish American family, and serving up proper, homestyle dishes, and selling a ton of well-curated Turkish imports.

Get the borek of course (the name roughly translates to BorekMaker after all) but also load up on the sesame covered simit and the home-cooked specials of the day. Be sure to get tea, and be sure to have a chat — it’s a great, welcoming environment and great addition to the Falls Church area.“

“Java Loco seemed very laidback and quiet when I dropped by around 1700 on a Tuesday afternoon. There weren't too many customers so it was fairly quiet. They have several tables and barstools/table inside with optional outside seating as well. It was a really hot afternoon, so the lack of many customers was much wanted!

I ordered the Golden Dream fruit tea with light ice (unfortunately, the sweetness couldn't be customized!). I also had a chocolate cigar Danish. I asked if they made their pasties in-house. They informed me they were not, but they are local. I didn't get the name of the bakery though. I quite liked the chocolate Danish. The drink was pretty good, but was just a tad bit too sweet for my taste.

I really like the ambiance in there and would not hesitate to go back and try some of their other offerings.“

“I ordered one konafah as a dine in, it was served cold, super sugery and not tastey at all. The konafa layer was so thin and soaking in syrup. I am sorry to say that Jenine is not going to be my favorite stop anymore.“

“Excited to try a new bubble tea shop. Not a knock on them, but they're really tucked away in the corner of the shopping center.

I went in late afternoon and there were a few customers, but not much of a line. The cashier was up on the Yelp event and helpful, so no issue figuring out how to order. I peeked at the menu ahead of time and decided on the Japanese brown rice milk tea with boba. I also grabbed an ube cookies & cream cookie for later.

Order was ready pretty quickly. I've never had Japanese brown rice milk tea, so I'm not sure if the flavor is inherently mild or if this has a lot of milk. I did like what I tasted, with it being slightly nutty/earthy. Boba were cooked well, soft exterior with a nice bite to them.

Wall art was fun... I think French bulldog focused. While a bit out of the way, I'd definitely like to give some other flavors a shot the next time I'm in the area.“

“This morning I went to this place and ordered iced latte with vanilla and hazelnut. The drinks at this place is delicious, the breakfast meals are also very delicious and look appetizing. The service is amazing here and the workers are very kind and energetic. I have drank here multiple times. The atmosphere here is very calming and nice.“

“This new place just opened in the Falls Church area, and it’s great! Everything inside is fresh and new, and it’s right next to Barnes & Noble. There aren’t any tables inside, but that’s no problem—you can chill and read books over at Barnes & Noble. My go-to sandwich is the spinach feta wrap with sriracha sauce. Parking is super easy to find, and if you love reading a book while sipping on coffee like I do, you’re going to love this spot!

“I recently visited Raki Cafe and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional customer service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere. The staff were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure that my experience was enjoyable.

The goat meat and other tibs(steak) is amazing. I recommend you to try it.
