“I went to this place for my birthday and I have to say that it was a great experience. My family and I shared the Bún bò Huế (spicy noodles), hoành thánh chiên (fried wontons), Gà xào húng quế (Thai basil chicken), and Bánh hỏi đặc biệt (Vermicelli platter). The food was so good, my favorite was the Bánh hỏi đặc biệt. The owner went around to every table and checked up on everybody and our waters were being refilled constantly. Everyone was really nice. They don't typically do anything special for birthdays, but the owner gave me a free mango sticky rice!! Even after we paid and started to leave, the owner came out to us and recommended the ice cream place next door. I really appreciate family businesses and loved to see that traditional foods are still very accessible to people with dietary restrictions. I am 100% visiting again.Dietary restrictions: Many of their dishes can be made vegan easily and they have a glutton free menu.“
“Best vegan restaurant in Washington DC. I like spending my outing time there. It’s an amazing place the staff are nice and welcoming. I prefer eating mom’s tofu & brown rice with a mango smoothie when I go there. Please try that I am sure you will love it.“
“Little Saigon in Falls Church near Eden Center is a gem. Upon entering, the cleanliness and charm of the venue, adorned with captivating photos of Saigon in the 60s, immediately stand out. The friendly staff creates a welcoming atmosphere, and it's evident that this is a family restaurant. The chicken pho is a standout, ranking among the best in the area, and complemented perfectly by the refreshing freshly squeezed lemonade.“
“The meal was exquisite. The dishes were well presented, creative and delicious as well as showing upon rather generous, dare we say it, North American portions. Our server (and others passing) was/were fantastic but we did sit at the bar and not at a table. This was a choice that we consciously made because we were celebrating our 19th anniversary sans children. Intimacy. A few reviews complain about price or the lack of selections on the menu. All we can say is: post-COVID prices have gone up significantly but that is true for everything that we, as a community, consume today. It might be harder to stomach the price increases for discretionary expenses like a fancy meal. In any event, please do not expect 1980s or even 2019 prices. Secondly, yep, it is pricey, but it is worth every centime. The "limited" menu is what really good restaurants do, not to gouge you, but to spoil you with a core set of dishes that will tantalite the palate of almost every true gourmand. NUE hits the mark rather well. Finally, one kink in the armor, is how food is served today and how waitstaff interact with customers. Partly caused by the clash of generations, e.g., servers and the served may have 30 to 40 years between them, partly because due to COVID the new wave apparently did not get to learn from the OGs who did not return to the hospitality business sector, and is likely partly due to the pace of life in the DMV as practiced by folks with maybe too much money. That service process part needs to be ironed-out, but it is not just an issue at NUE, but at most, if not all, DMV fine food establishments. We, for one, will be back to NUE very soon. We just need to save up for it and we won't have to wait a year.“
“Wow, what a beautiful restaurant and the food was so delicious. I love the decor and plants. The staff is outstanding. Their attention to detail is amazing. I loved my dish. I had vegetarian crêpe and a garden roll for an appetizer. Both were delicious. Also, the Vietnamese coffee was yummy.“
“I went in to order food to go and it was so fast, maybe 10 mins tops before I got my food and was headed on my way. A few other reviews said the people working here have limited English, but the woman who took my order had no problem chatting with me while I waited - she was super nice and welcoming! The menu has an English side and a Vietnamese side that match up, so you can just show them the number of what you want if you ever run into anyone with limited English. I'm not familiar with many Vietnamese dishes, so I'm excited to come back and keep trying more since the tofu dish I got was SO good!Dietary restrictions: The whole menu is vegan“
“My family of 6 adults and one toddler went here on a Sunday Night. The food was absolutely delicious. One of the most tastiest and flavorful pho broths I’ve had in all of Northern Virginia. I got the crushed ginger (P2)The restaurant is small, but decorated beautifully with colorful lanterns on the ceiling as well as a beautiful cherry blossom tree in the corner. The only note I would make is I would prefer if there was music playing a *little* bit louder because it seemed too quiet inside. Our server went above and beyond to accommodate for our toddler, interacting with him and even giving him a quarter of a fresh avocado that was left over from a smoothie he made.I would definitely be coming back here because the pho outranks other pho places in the northern Virginia area.“
“Ordered shrimp garden rolls : they were pretty tasty. Little bit of wilted lettuce but good overall all. Fresh. A- Ordered shrimp fried rice : nothing special but good. C Ordered an everything pho (non seafood) : the soup came out Luke warm.. I was expecting a big bowl of "steamy" pho and received a bowl of disappointment... was sad.. D- Ordered the 76-86$seafood platter (forgot price) : Served on a huge tray. Again... food wasn't pipping hot as expected. Lobster was a tad bit rubbery. Shrimp were all small.. crab legs were average and both other crabs I ate were just ok.. meh. Everything was DRENCHED in garlic. I love garlic but damnnnn, I like to taste seafood too. Crawdads produce little meat. D Service was nice . A Overall sadly I will not be dining back at crabby noodles. Perhaps in a year or so I'll try again. "D" grade..“
“The only Com Tam Thit Nuong I've had that's better than this is my own Mom's cooking. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and now I take my own kids here. You absolutely can't beat the grilled meats with the runny egg on top ? sooooo good!“
“This Vietnamese restaurant boasts a modern decor complemented by traditional twists, delectable dishes, and attentive service from the owner.Parking: Locates inside Eden Center where it has a big parking lot, though it gets really crowded on the weekends.“
“I’ve been on the hunt for authentic, mouth drooling bun rieu and the quest has been lackluster until I found this place. Walked in and immediately greeted by a lovely auntie, the owner and chef. She told me it’s a one woman show, and I can tell she put a lot of love in her cooking the moment my bowl came out! The crab meatball was massive and you can tell she used lump crab meat! There was also a unique herb that I haven’t seen provided. I can tell she doesn’t skimp on quality! Honestly, the prices were reasonable given the portion and quality.Even the complimentary iced tea provided was top shelf! It was pandan infused green tea that she said she imported from Vietnam from her personal family. Wow wow I’ll be back to support her!“
“The food was very good and the service is speedy. Nice menu with some interesting choices. I had the rice noodle bowl with chicken and spring roll. I've had this dish many times at many other Vietnamese spots. This one was very good. Too many bean sprouts in my opinion. But, I don't like bean sprouts. Great sour/spicy fish sauce. The chicken was not dry and had good flavor. I will go back to try some other things.“
“The food is absolutely delicious and authentic! Highly recommend this place. Some recommendations for improvement I have for the owner: 1/Update the menu by adding symbols on spicy food/levels, 2/Have a sign 'wait here to be seated' so new customers understand they are not being ignored, 3/Have a sign at the staff table saying 'pay here' to clarify that customer need to go up there and ask to pay.“
“Their banh cuon is freshly made and delicious. Staffs are super friendly. We also often order take out trays for family parties. It’s much easier to park in the back lot of Eden center and they are the first store from one of the back entrances.“
“Why hasn’t anyone raved about their Bo la lot? This place smells like heaven when you walk by it. So much that is how I got drawn in. The beef is so juicy and tender. And the sauce that comes with it is delicious, it has hints of ginger and garlic. Definitely a must try. I grab a tray to go every time I am in Eden Center.“
“Things to note:* only pho soup* can order small or large* can add a bowl of noodles on the side* cash only* no veggie soup options; so don’t ask* family/large group friendly restaurant* parking can be limited and people tend to drive a little recklessly —> so park far and walk off the extra noodle carbs on the way back. It’s fantastic, flavorful, and fresh! The noodles are great, the meat is tender, the coffee ????? slaps. I got the iced Vietnamese coffee with the crack- milk (condensed milk). It’s a family restaurant. Big groups, kids, and hungover college students reside here.Service is quick. Sat down, ordered, food came out in 5 minutes! And it was packed!Once you’re done, just go up to the counter and pay. Cash only. You can walk next door and grab rice cakes, tapioca cakes, or sesame balls. Can also grab Bahn mi for dinner later. The ? is ???.“
“I ate here a few times now, I had both chicken pho and regular pho, they are very solid. Everyone has different expectations on what pho should taste like but to me pho here is good. The broth is flavorful and the dipping sauce is also good, so no complaints on the flavor. The service is good. They are fairly quick. Each time I eat we have no less than 5 people and from order to have food on table is about 15 minutes. Over all, this is a good place for pho especially chicken pho.“
“The pho here is great, but the other dishes are also really really good. It's always difficult to choose between pho and something else. It's still our go to pho place with the added benefit that you can get something else other than the pho.“
“Ordered off the lunch specials menu. Good selection, fast service. I like that they have tofu as on of their protein options. Tasty green curry and veggie spring rolls. Companion enjoyed chicken pad thai.Vegetarian options: Tofu is listed as one of the proteins-you don't have to ask for special prep of a dish without meat.Parking: Very limited parking midweek at 1pm.“
