I really liked the ambiance and the service. The decor was very cute and there was plenty of room on a Friday night. Everything was clean and the servers were very attentive and nice.

However, the food was okay to me. I got the chicken pho and felt the chicken was very rubbery. The broth was fine, not super flavorful but passable, and the portion was good. They gave plenty of meat!

I also tried to beef salad. The presentation was beautiful and it looked delicious. I was not expecting the greens to taste bitter, so that just might be personal preference. The beef did not have much flavor, but the meat was tender. Portion size was large and plentiful.

Overall, I feel that the presentation of the food and the interior is very tasteful and you can tell the team really put a lot of thought into the designs and layout of the restaurant. The food parallels the interior design in that the portions felt generous, and the dishes very carefully placed on the dishes in an appealing manner. I do think food taste and texture can be improved. Particularly the chicken pho, where the chicken was rubbery. And the beef salad: perhaps more flavor on the beef and less bitter greens.“

“This place has really good banh mi at good prices. I think they may have changed their bread recipe recently, because the bread used to be too hard but now it's soft with the right amount of crisp on the crust. Ham Banh Mi is hard to beat.

The lady is kind of checking on you to make sure your needs are met and the food is great. Hu tieu Nam Vang was great, great sauce and toppings. Their signature “Bánh ướt dĩa chồng dĩa Buôn Mê Thuộc” aka rice paper plate on plate was good with rice paper to wrap with herbs and different hams like chạo tôm (shrimp paste wrapped on sugar cane, vietnamese ham, grilled pork) and 3 different sauces (fish sauce, fermented fish sauce, and peanut sauce). Bánh bèo is good. I’m used to Hue style which the rice batter is thinner but this is still good.“

“Best Bun Bo Hue (translates to English as Spicy Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup) in the DMV. This is a little hole in the wall restaurant located in Eden Center. We usually have the duck salad to start. In case you haven't had the opportunity, Bun Bo Hue broth tastes rich and deep, spicy, with a hint of sweet, citrusy lemongrass. Be sure to add the fresh herbs to your bowl, they really enhance the flavor of the soup. The sliced cabbage adds texture and crunch while the noodles are perfectly thick and chewy. I highly recommend taking the drive to Falls Church for this dish alone.“

“Cash only establishments. Located inside at suite 39 the corner lot. The name on the window is different so what's why I felt the need to say that. The meat is marinated well and cooked properly. The fish sauce that went with it is also good and lightly spicy. I have noticed a few other restaurants around water it down to save some $ but they did not. The place is very small, maybe less than 8 tables.The beef noodle soup is one of the better ones in the area. The soup has a combination of different meats, and the blood which is often left out in some other restaurants.“

For those that don't know, I'm half vietnamese and spent a lot of time at eden centre growing up, so I absolutely LOVED this meal with the home-y & comforting flavours of my childhood.
I plan on visiting more often with this being my 2nd time back at eden already this year!

You can see the quantity of meat in the banh mi with and without the veggies. Three banh mi cost $20 USD!“

Bánh ướt đĩa chồng đĩa is okay, not enough bánh ướt to go with the meat imo. The different type of protein is good overall, except for the shrimp one that is not as good.“

“I was a little hungry and we were welcomed in to this quick take out place. Not familiar with their Banh bao but I love cha siu baos so I decided to give it a chance. It was only $3.10 for a big bao. I was not disappointed. It was delicious. Anyone familiar with siu mai dim sum would have instantly recognized the delicious pork filling. I will be back to grab a dozen next time.“
