To be honest, the price had my expectations lowered a bit. I needn't worry. The beef pho met my main requirement which is lots of vegetables to dig into.

“I found this restaurant, just a couple of blocks from my hotel. It was absolutely packed during lunchtime. I ordered the Canh chua (Vietnamese, sweet and sour) soup with shrimp. It was amazing. It’s very hard to find this soup in Vietnamese restaurants so when I do, I always order it. I saw the other dishes coming out - pho and fresh spring rolls - and it all looked great. “The best banh mi sandwich you will find, the bread is baked fresh on premises. All the ingredients are fresh. This is only one of two Pho restaurants in the country that has pipping hot stone bowl, the other one is 3K miles away. The portions are perfect for not overeating with the price being slightly higher than others in the area. One items of feedback would be to have bigger spoons for the pho.“

I really liked the ambiance and the service. The decor was very cute and there was plenty of room on a Friday night. Everything was clean and the servers were very attentive and nice.

However, the food was okay to me. I got the chicken pho and felt the chicken was very rubbery. The broth was fine, not super flavorful but passable, and the portion was good. They gave plenty of meat!

I also tried to beef salad. The presentation was beautiful and it looked delicious. I was not expecting the greens to taste bitter, so that just might be personal preference. The beef did not have much flavor, but the meat was tender. Portion size was large and plentiful.

Overall, I feel that the presentation of the food and the interior is very tasteful and you can tell the team really put a lot of thought into the designs and layout of the restaurant. The food parallels the interior design in that the portions felt generous, and the dishes very carefully placed on the dishes in an appealing manner. I do think food taste and texture can be improved. Particularly the chicken pho, where the chicken was rubbery. And the beef salad: perhaps more flavor on the beef and less bitter greens.“

The broth was flavorful and comforting, and the portions were large and very filling, especially with the extra meat. For the amount of food you get, it’s a really good value.

I also tried one of their in-house drinks with red bean, mung bean, taro, red tapioca, pandan jelly, and coconut milk, and it was fantastic. It had a great combination of textures and flavors and was a perfect complement to the pho.

“This place has really good banh mi at good prices. I think they may have changed their bread recipe recently, because the bread used to be too hard but now it's soft with the right amount of crisp on the crust. Ham Banh Mi is hard to beat.

“Food was great! Don’t let the emptiness scare you. The restaurant is kinda hidden in the mall on the entrance end of the Eden center. The service was great! The lady is kind of checking on you to make sure your needs are met and the food is great. Hu tieu Nam Vang was great, great sauce and toppings. Their signature “Bánh ướt dĩa chồng dĩa Buôn Mê Thuộc” aka rice paper plate on plate was good with rice paper to wrap with herbs and different hams like chạo tôm (shrimp paste wrapped on sugar cane, vietnamese ham, grilled pork) and 3 different sauces (fish sauce, fermented fish sauce, and peanut sauce). Bánh bèo is good. I’m used to Hue style which the rice batter is thinner but this is still good.“
