I ordered takeout of Com Tam Thit Nuong (grilled pork with rice) and the pork meat was not what I expected from many years of having this at other Vietnamese restaurants. The meat was very red and quite sweet, and it reminded me more like a canned or pre-prepared meat product, rather than thin sliced, marinaded pork that is grilled and still retains the recognition of the meat and has the charred parts that is the evidence of grilling.

Pho Hai Duong Tysons is a lovely Vietnamese restaurant with a great variety of dishes to try. Their Pho Dac Biet and Bun Bo Hue are must-tries, along with the Bi Cuon rolls. The restaurant also serves delicious grilled pork with vermicelli, noodle soup, fried rice, and shaky beef, all consistently satisfying. The staff is friendly and accommodating, with one manager noted for being especially helpful. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with Vietnamese paintings and clean dark wood furniture. While some menu items may not always be available, the food is tasty and generously portioned, with a nice bowl of Pho Bo Vien that features a flavorful broth. Parking can be limited in the front, but there is a free lot behind the building. Overall, Pho Hai Duong Tysons is a great place to enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
