“This Dunkin Donuts has some great refreshers, although they could definitely use more bacon-free options for breakfast. The roll-ups are ok. It personally feels more like a somewhat melted cheese on bread, and not really rolled-up. Service here is very hit or miss. I've had some servers give attitude, while others were really nice. Donuts are good too.“
“I ordered a box of Twisted Sweets & Savory's including the pistachio Sweet Chimney to the office and they were a huge hit! They're the perfect treat, and this place is a great spot for a bike stop for those riding along the W&OD Trail.“
“No-frills, Cafe V is run by kind people who efficiently make you your coffee. Enjoying more sweet drinks, I enjoyed the large honey cinnamon latte. Within minutes, it was ready at the bar on a Sunday morning. The space is very practical with plenty of tables. My latte was over $7, which seemed a little expensive, but everything is these days.“
“Moved to area a few months ago the coffee in has the best coffee I've tried within about a 30 minute radius and during my travels past few years. The service is also wonderful, as well as the food. Delicious pastries and tasty sandwiches. Love the variety of options from drinks to food.If you're looking for high quality coffee that offers much more with a great atmosphere for sit in, then this is the place. A wonderful local place ran by some wonderful owners.“
“The best sushi in the dmv by far for the price. The people that run this place are so amazing and kind. The sushi is made out of amazing cuts of fish that are fresh and they are generous with their portions.I’ve eaten at multiple Michelin star sushi restaurants and this sushi rivals that, they really know their sushi. They’ve always been super friendly and accommodating. Treat yourself and support a family owned small business!!“
“All in all, a pretty cool place and unique in downtown Vienna. I want to come back and visit when it's a little less crowded. My daughter and I came here on a Saturday morning to grab a quick cup of coffee before we took on the day. On walking in, I was immediately struck by how small the place is. The space really isn't all that big and there are only about 5-7 tables throughout, so during busy periods (like when we went) it would be really tough to get a seat. There was no line, so we went right up to the counter and placed our order. They don't do pour overs on the weekends, so I got a drip coffee and had it in my hand just a few seconds after ordering. After scanning the room, I realized that there were no tables available, so my daughter and I went outside and sat on a bench out there for a few minutes until the cold got to us. In total, I probably spent less than 3 minutes inside. That's too bad, because I really enjoy getting to enjoy the atmosphere of a coffee shop and having a little time to enjoy and experience the coffee. That said, it was my mistake for coming here at a busy time and honestly, there's only so much you can do about the size of a building. The drip coffee itself was okay, nothing to write home about – but that's drip coffee. I love that this place roasts their own beans and I would love to come back when they're doing pour overs and give it another shot.Overall, this place has some cool potential and I want to try it again and will update my review after the next round.“

“Tried a lot of coffee shops in Mclean, Fairfax and Vienna area. Americano’s are what I drink and Compass Coffee on Fairfax Blvd tastes/makes it best to me. Maybe it’s the bean but it’s never bitter or burnt, just right. I’m surprised cause I didn’t think a chain coffee shop would have good coffee. Other coffee shops worth trying are Greenberry’s(Mclean), Cafe Amouri(Vienna), Caboose(Merrifield) and 29th Parallel(Vienna).“
“After a climbing session at Vertical, my friend and I went downstairs to visit their coffee shop. The Drinks: I went with a class Iced Caramel coffee here. The coffee was good, mixed well and didn't have a burnt taste at all. Well flavored for my liking and at an affordable price as well. The Service: Service was good! The staff here are friendly and welcoming when you walk in. Ordering was easy and straight forward with orders being sent out in a timely manner. The Atmosphere: With the climbing gym being upstairs, it only makes sense that the decor and atmosphere fit into the "climbing/adventure" aesthetic. The coffee shop is spacious with plenty of seats to either relax/hangout or get some work done. They had nice National Park posters/stuff decorated around the shop as well. Really nicely decorated.Overall, a 5/5! Great coffee, very chill and relaxing vibes. Would definitely come back.“
“We always have a great experience here. Their coffee is delicious not too bitter, delicious food - We have loved everything we have gotten, the breakfast platter, the breakfast bowl, the breakfast burrito, baked goods, oh the waffles so so good... Can you tell we come here a lot lol? The service is always so cheerful to boot!“
“This gem is run by the absolute most sweet, caring, and hard-working family we have met in a long time. The food is prepped with love and the service is akin to the hospitality you’d receive from your own family. Whether you’re enjoying a hot plate breakfast with delicious tea for brunch or a hearty gyro, the folks at Borek G will serve it up with a smile and a warm energy that will light up your day. Our party of friends has been coming here for about a year now and we have always enjoyed our experience. The family is generous and kind not enough can be said about how that love radiates from the wonderful food. Do yourself a favor and stop in!“
“Their service is unparalleled, surpassing all others. The management is top-notch, providing excellence in every aspect. The customer service is exceptional, creating a friendly and welcoming environment. And let's not forget about their food - it's a symphony of flavors, each bite a work of art. The taste is simply exquisite, leaving you craving for more.“
“Love this place. So vibrant, crowded, and full of life. Love their Butterscotch Latte. It only comes in one size but worth trying.Vegetarian options: They have some vegan options.Dietary restrictions: The butterscotch latte has dairyParking: Plenty of parking spotsKid-friendliness: Absolutely!Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it is wheelchair accessible“
“South Block is a relaxed spot that specializes in health-conscious options. Their menu, though small, offers great prices and includes cold-pressed juices, healthy toast, smoothies, and acai bowls. I had the pleasure of trying the peanut blast smoothie with added bananas, and it was absolutely delicious. The customer service was top-notch, with speedy and attentive service. The interior design was pleasing, and the establishment was impressively clean. I'm eagerly anticipating trying their acai bowls next time. I was soengrossed in the deliciousness that I forgot to snap a photo of the smoothie!“
“I loved this café with its modern, sleek design and multitude of seating options, including a great outdoor seating area that I'm sure to frequent as the weather becomes sunny. We ordered two sandwiches- the? Shroom sandwich and the ?Avocado sandwich. I was impressed with the neat packaging and presentation. Coffee options are plentiful from the regulars to specialty drinks like the pumpkin spice latte I got. This spot is definitely bookmarked!Vegetarian options: Avocado ?, plant ? based meats, mushrooms ?.Parking: Parking spots on all sides of building. Additionally parking available adjacent to the cafe in the plaza area.Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly menu options and cafe environment is family orientedWheelchair accessibility: Ramp available at front entrance facing the plaza.“
“Good variety of pastries and cakes available along with cookies and bread .Different types of made to lattes and coffees are available as well. They offer a free bun for a google review but they do not honor it as they keep saying it is out of stock even though i could see a lot of buns and breads available.Little disappointed with the service.Overall the pastries were good and reasonably priced“
“Quick stop by to grab a coffee for the road. The place was packed! The line moved, and once ordered, the cold brew and regular coffee was served quickly and without fanfare and it was good. We got a blueberry banana muffin as well, and that was fine. The place is large, with lots of small tables, but feels crowded and there isn’t much room to move about. The front door has steps leading up, accessible entrance in the back, but we didn’t see it. The building is from 1895… used to be a post office and mercantile. Parking nearby.“
“The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is super nice and knowledgeable, and the drinks and food are fun.I got a Thai Tea Latte with coconut jelly. You're able to pick the sweetness level so I did 50% since Thai Ice teas are usually pretty sweet. The drink was phenomenal!! The Staff guided me to an incredible choice.Food wise, I also got an egg waffle. It was an original with auger sprinkled on top. It was warm and delicious. It made a great pairing with the Thai Tea Latte.Overall a great place to hang out, drink tea, and just vibe.“
“What a cute little cafe in the heart of downtown Vienna. It's such a warm and cozy vibe and their owners are so welcoming. Such great service!I got their affogatos which was amazing because you get to pick your ice cream flavor since their store is also an ice cream parlor. I got some pastries which were so good. I want to come during breakfast so I can try their food! I hope to return!“
“Rare Bird does not miss with the quality of coffee at all. They have a stylish, well-maintained Strada and a great selection of coffees. Love the naturals every time. Some really great, thoughtfully designed, locally thrown drinkware. It's a serious gem.Parking: Street parking is a bit of a premium here. There's a local public lot just around the block. Perhaps not the best for accessibility, but there are options.“
“One of the best (and most unique) desserts I've had in the D.C. area is in Annandale, Virginia. After Korean BBQ at nearby Kogiya, my friends were craving bingsu (shaved ice dessert), bringing us to this Korean tea house. On a Saturday evening around 9 p.m., it was packed, but we somehow managed to snag a small table for the four of us. Ordering via QR code on the table, a giant bowl of bingsu came to our table.Splitting it between three, we devoured the black sesame bingsu. It was more than enough for four of us and came with sliced almonds, black sesame, vanilla powder, and corn flakes on top of shaved ice. Frozen cream is in the middle and you pour a small jug of milk over the top before digging in.Our fourth friend ordered one of the waffles with ice cream and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend this spot! They also have a large tea menu and a few coffee products like lattes.“
“I stopped by here a few weeks ago for a coffee and muffin. They were both delicious, but most noteworthy was the service. I was traveling for a nearby vet appointment and had my bird with me, so I couldn't leave him in the car alone. I called and requested curbside delivery, and the staff person kindly provided it. I tried giving her a cash tip, but she refused.Thank you so much for your kindness. It can be stressful making a 4+ hour round trip with a pet, and you made my day brighter and eased some of that stress.“
“This is my go-to spot every time I'm in Tysons! I absolutely love the dandelion tea drinks because they taste like coffee without the caffeine I usually get the dandelion tea with less/half sweetness and the staff is always super nice and patient about getting the sweetness level exactly how I like it! Can't wait to come back!!“
“Is it possible for matcha soft serve to be overwhelming match-y? Yes! That’s how it is at the legit-Japanese chain Matcha Maiko Cafe. But the Korean-owned Bôn Tea is able to perfect the flavor. I’m not local but I will drive out (30+ min) here to get their seasonal flavors that blend so flawlessly with their absolute bliss matcha soft serve. Never have I been disappointed from a combo-swirl.“
“I've been wanting to try this place out for months. So glad I did. I picked up a mango and a lemon mochi donut. The texture makes them lighter and more chewy than a standard doughnut. Nice place to stop by for bubble-boba tea and a mochi donut. Decor inside is adorable.“
“Finally stopped in one Sunday afternoon. Thoroughly enjoyed my treat! I tried the Vietnamese coffee cake slice. It was moist and fluffy with great flavor. Kids had the vegan brookie and a cupcake and loved them. Now I'm wondering if they do birthday cakes. Will be back for more.“
“First time visit today! The coffee was amazing, the baked goods were so lovely we decided to take a second trip around the case to bring some home! One word, CROLL! I recommend the savory and the sweet treats. The staff was kind, they were busy, but still made time to be kind. Thank you!“
“This is a cafe that I’ve been coming to for breakfast and lunch at least once a week for the past two years. One thing to know is that this isn’t American food disguised with French branding. The menu is not extensive, but it is the most authentic French café food that I’ve seen outside of France. The sandwiches and desserts are excellent. My favorite is the Jambon Beurre sandwich, which I find myself ordering over and over, while reminding myself I need to sample other items on the menu. The dining room design is casual and inviting. It makes you want to stay and enjoy the atmosphere, which admittedly, is a problem at lunchtime as it can get quite crowded given the popularity of this café.Mary has done a terrific job of creating an experience that delivers lovely, authentic French cafe food, with caring (if sometimes overworked at lunchtimes) staff, in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. That does it for me and deserving of repeated visits!“
“Just regular coffee here is very good. I stopped making it at home and drive less than a mile to get a cup here now.The customer support or atmosphere is hit or miss I'm learning. Some days its over the top polite, and some days its strange grins and a judgey vibe. This is expected from very young girls who seem to be the majority of the employees.Another annoyance is when I get my change back, there is a attempt to balance my coins on top of the bills an they hand it back holding the bills end to end with the coins on top, and every time the coins end up on the ground. Last time the lady made a comment, "what was that, just a penny?" When it was pretty obvious all of my change was dumped. I had to back up and get out and pick it up. Luckily there was nobody behind me.“
“Stellar Bakery, probably my favorite in the area, which is a lot to say in a crowded market of Korean bakeries. Excellent number of options. Each bread I got was perfectly soft and fillings for all that had them had the appropriate ratio and texture. Ordered the red bean and cream buns (latter being a standout). Re-ordered more for a work event, which were a hit!“
“I love Fairfax Coffe!! It is my fav place to study, and relax. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The drinks are great and have good quality! The place and the vibes there are just amazing!! Will always be my favorite atmosphere. Highly recommend this cafe!“
“Great and extensive coffee selection and some great pastries to go with it! The staff is always friendly and helpful, they have a great vibe and a good amount of seating. We've tested out a bunch of their different roasts and are never disappointed. It's definitely one of the best coffee roasters in the DMV.“
“Gathering Grounds has some nice coffee. I would personally recommend their hot coffee drinks, because whatever milk for the latte has a nice steaminess to it, hence the latte. The iced coffees are also pretty good, but I personally prefer the hot coffees more. The chocolate croissant is pretty good, and tastes like it just came out of the oven. I also like the ginger tea from here. If I had a suggestion, however, it would be to offer more options for sandwiches or wraps the way Starbucks does. Maybe some turkey bacon, or chicken.Servers are nice, but I do wish that they had more seating as the place can get easily cramped, but when they are available, I really enjoy the lounge chairs.“
“I’ve been checking out local coffee shops because I just wanted something besides my local Starbucks. Heard about this place from a friend. It’s like a hidden gem. I’ve come to this shopping center so many times and never knew it was here. Great, modern and clean space with lots of tables to work. And a delicious latte! New favorite spot.“
“I can't express enough how delightful my recent experiences at 29th have been during my business trip. The staff at this charming establishment are not only skilled at their craft but also exude warmth and hospitality, making each visit a truly pleasant one. They have a wonderful selection of pastries and caffeinated libations. On my first visit, I opted for the Rose Latte, and it was a delight. The subtle floral notes added a unique touch to the smooth espresso, making it a standout choice. I also had an Almond Croissant, which was flaky and nutty. My second visit was equally satisfied enjoying the Pumpkin Spice Latte and a Salted Caramel-filled Pastry. The combination was nothing short of WOW. The salted caramel-filled pastry was a perfect balance of sweetness with buttery pastry.Without a doubt, 29th has become my go-to spot for a caffeine fix when I'm in the area“
“I scream for ice cream alright. My first time here. Though it's a small shop the variety of ice cream flavors was awesome. I tasted a few and it was a tough decision to just pick two flavors. the berry berry strawberry was really good, so was the unique steam oil flavor with green colored caramel lol. I ended up with the raspberry truffle and milk chocolate. MILK CHOCOLATE IS NOW MY FAVE FLAVOR AND I STILL THINK ABOUT IT lol. can't wait to go back. Also great friendly service. No space to sit inside but there were a few public benches near the store. :)“
“Good coffee drinks, nice selection of treats (Korean bakery goods like cake, cookies, cream rolls, filled breads). Quiet when mostly full seats. Clean. Feels like a cozy neighborhood hangout. A little dark at the far end, the seats by the side door are better lit. The green tea roll cake is rich and creamy.Parking: Free but limited parking in Annandale Plaza shopping center“
“HKTH is in a shopping center with plenty of parking. You order everything from 1 of 2 kiosks and your order is ready right away! There are 6 tables and plenty of seating! The two staff members that made my smoothie and dish were helpful in choosing the right sauce for me. I first had Chinese Spicy on the side, but it wasn't spicy at all. I was provided chili oil and spicy mayo, both of which were better options, but I'd probably get the dry spicy seasoning next time. The chicken was fried to perfection and stayed hot for a while! For smoothie, I enjoyed the Coffee Oreo Smoothie with Brown sugar boba, a first for me. It was DELICIOUS and I don't even remember drinking it until I was on my last gulp! I look forward to supporting this establishment in the future!“
“Very happy with the Classic Bakery's Signature Mango cake for our daughter's 1st bday. She is allergic to milk and eggs, so we had to go with the vegan option. Didn't know vegan cake could taste so good! Our daughter enjoyed eating her slice, and making a mess with it too. Great memories.Dietary restrictions: Vegan cake option“
“Delicious donuts!!! Staffs were attentive and friendly since it was my first time coming there. They have big donuts (that’s why it’s Texas donuts duh?! Lol), and specialties favorite like maple bacon, red velvet etc. i got myself a dozen of mix regular and specialty. Delicious! Highly recommended! I will def coming back and I would suggest y’all check them out too“
“Wow! Rylie Dao, my cashier, was exceptional to say the least. I was having trouble making a decision on what to order for my grandmother who has a very selective taste. Rylie was very helpful and assisted me throughout the process, going over every menu option in detail. I will definitely be coming back for more!“
“This morning, I had to make a super hard decision between awesome smelling coffee and good tasting beer that I had from them in the past. It was my first time in that building... Industrial looking with tons of seating and people vary from working to family and strollers.“
“It's a bubble tea place, not much else to say. Practically speaking I believe it to be the best in the area, and also one of the better deals too. They have some food options too but I haven't sampled any of them. They are open late which is nice for a late night treat / hangout. The shopping center it's in gets busy at all hours so sometimes parking can be annoying, but I've never not found a spot.“
“A local favorite! Spartans is one of those places that makes you feel like home when you go there. Whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Spartans doesn't disappoint. If you go for breakfast, I highly recommend the Stuffed Challah with Cream Cheese as you won't be hungry for the rest of the day. Enjoy!“
“Drove up to try their Nitro brew. Solid pour and look but the coffee lacks any real flavor. I drink my coffee black and enjoy a strong cup of coffee. I understand the nitro lessens the bitterness but if this was a blind taste test I'm not sure I'd even guess it's coffee. Let the adventure for great nitro continue.“
“This is a great place to relax and enjoy some Asian-inspired beverages, desserts, macaroons, and other snacks. The interior is clean and pleasant, with minimalist decor and light wood furniture, providing a view of the parking lot. Seating options are limited inside so that it can fill up quickly. The staff is generally friendly, and they serve your order quickly. I am happy that more dessert options like this are available in the area.“
“Tried the New Orleans Style Coffee Milk Tea and I liked it. It was a unique combination, mixing coffee and milk tea, which offered a refreshing change from the usual boba flavors. I also appreciated their everyday promotion of Buy 4, Get 1 free. They tend to give a bit more ice than other places, so keep that in mind.“
“This is a great idea that I hope becomes more popular. The Vietnamese food has been great for everything I tried, this last time it was noodle bowl with grilled pork, which was perfect. The salted iced coffee took some getting used to but is now one of my favorites. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re looking for some place different for lunch.“
“I was very impressed with the staff very respectful and friendly. The manager was very attentive, she was making sure everything was going accordingly. The deli was small but very cozy. I also noticed the cleanliness, it was kept clean and sanitized. The food was very delicious!! I definitely recommend this place ?“
“Really fun I ordered iced white vanilla chocolate mocha. I always get iced coffee because I get served hot coffee and can never finish it. Highly recommend you get a vanilla chocolate mocha it pretty good and I had it served to me pretty quickly.“
