“Most DD are the same and service is ordinary but today’s experience told me that this person deserves a shout out.
Nandani, an employee who stood out from the rest. As I sat there and had my coffee, I observed her positive energy and hospitality from the minute I walked in. It was the same for every single person that walked through the door from customers to delivery people. A contagious smile and willingness to work, welcoming and whether it was serving or sweeping the floor, it was notable. As a business owner, I know that it’s hard to find people these days with such work ethics. DD Oakton is lucky to have her.“

“Clifton Cafe is our new favorite evening spot on the weekends. We’ve been customers since the original owners opened it years ago, but until this past fall we did more to go orders than dine in since the service and time to prep food was often slow and unpredictable. Now we go almost every week. We’ve noticed big improvements since they expanded their kitchen and redesigned the bar area. Their new pull up bar is beautiful and spacious. The new owners and management are great too! We love the evening staff as well, especially Ian and Nicole. They are very personable, accommodating, and attentive. They have great happy hour specials from 3-6 and make the best margaritas and espresso martinis. Some of our favorite dinner items include the crab dip, Mediterranean salad, cuban sandwich, burgers, crab cakes, quiche specials, banana pudding, and too many crepes to name! We also appreciate that they have become more family friendly. We had a last minute party of 14 on a Friday evening (half of which were children ages 1-11) and they didn’t hesitate to pull some tables together in a private nook to accommodate our large group (again thanks to Ian and Nicole). We noticed they finally got a changing table in the large bathroom, which they are about to install. Our kids are past that stage, but there were several times when they were little that a changing table would have been helpful.“

“very cute! i’ve been to other mamans and this location was just as pretty. it was a little crowded and chaotic, but expected for a sunday after a major holiday, and the staff were friendly and turned tables around quickly. the atmosphere was a little overwhelming for me and i wouldn’t be back on a weekend, but i wouldn’t mind checking it out on a weekday.

the ratatouille was very delicious— more of a stew consistency and the herbed feta was SO tasty. i only wish it wasn’t just a weekend exclusive. the quiche sarah was just okay. not bad but i wouldn’t pay ten dollars for it again. the food lacked salt but was otherwise good. the iced banana matcha was really tasty and the presentation was great!“

I often order takeout as it's a quick two-minute drive for me, and their speed is unmatched. Even when the ordering app gives a 30-minute ETA for two drinks and two food items, I'll order, leave five minutes later, and the food is already waiting for me!

The Duvant coffee is always incredibly rich and creamy, and their salmon bagel completely outshines the dedicated bagel shops nearby. The atmosphere inside is fantastic and it's always buzzing. You can't go wrong here.“

“Absolutely amazing Turkish food. The kokoreç, köfte, and ciğer were all delicious and authentic. Family-owned place with a very cozy atmosphere inside. The staff were incredibly polite, welcoming, and attentive. You can really feel the hospitality and care. Definitely check this place out if you want great Turkish cuisine and a warm experience.“

“From far away, it seems like a really cool hip place to be, but inside it just feels like something‘s missing. Like it feels a little devoid of character here and very generic. The avocado toast has what seems like Ken’s raspberry salad dressing drizzled on it, which was really offputting. I tried to get off as much as possible.
Service was kind of impersonal also. Just didn’t seem like people were interested in being there or making eye contact just a quick order and give you what you asked for, no sort of interaction or warmth.“

“My husband and I found this little spot while out walking . We purchased coffee, bagels and decided to have a scone apiece. The owner and staff are so sweet and you can tell that they love what they do. It will be a regular spot for us to visit.“

“A traditional LBS(Local Bike Store). The shop works with its customers for their mutual benefit (revenue for the shop, service for the customer), as it should be, not biasing the transaction to either party. The service crew is warm, friendly, and helpful. I hope that I have found my new LBS for supporting my bicycling habit. Love that they incorporate a coffee shop & brewery into their operation too.“

“I am quite literally at CAFEIN almost every day. I am a regular at Chantilly location. My partner is a regular at Centreville location. Most workers know both of us separately. I want to start off by saying CAFEIN has hands down the BEST coffee in all of DMV. Nothing compares. I can tell when a business is using CAFEIN beans. That’s how good and unique and high quality it is, there is a reason I’m there every day, and MOST workers are sweet, kind, and amazing. Truly. Every interaction has been nothing short of top tier customer service EXCEPT for one singular person who has repeatedly been rude. At this point CAFEIN needs to step in and discuss this persons behavior and if they want to be associated and represented in this way.

I think this person is a manager at the Chantilly location. She is an Asian female, and unfortunately she has made a terrible reputation for herself as being the rude worker here, trust me she’s known for that for anybody who goes to This location. Firstly I don’t understand the 3pm closing time, but second if a business says 3pm closing time, that doesn’t mean 2:55pm. That means you TAKE ORDERS TILL 3pm. That’s how all businesses work. If your hours are REALLY till 2:45pm then set your business hours officially to that time. This woman has repeatedly rudely spoken to customers, including myself to get them out of the store as it nears 3pm. She comes around and interrupts conversations to make sure they know when to leave. She doesn’t take orders sometimes when it’s nearing 3pm. She shuts off online orders too, to avoid anybody coming in before closing. She isn’t nice about it either, she’s rude in how she speaks to customers.
Today I walk in, a small family with one child walks in front of me, and at 2:58pm (I know it was end of day and that’s my bad) but she immediately says WE CLOSE AT 3PM, and turns everybody away. The small child says but it’s not 3! And frowns as we all walk out. I look forward to my coffee as one of the best parts of my day and truly think CAFEIN is amazing but this one manager is just so rude. Just change your hours if you don’t actually take orders before 3pm, if you don’t plan on getting rid of this rude woman. Everybody at Centreville location is so nice to my partner he is met with being treated with familiarity and inclusivity as somebody who’s a regular. He was on the phone with me when I walked in today & was shocked they turned me away before 3. This was not the first time btw there was one or two times in the past I had even called in & said hey I placed a pickup order and my eta was 3pm on the dot and I have pulled up & had the door locked on me or still been met with WE ARE CLOSED rudely by solely only her. She needs an attitude check. Maybe she doesn’t belong in a coffee shop where you need to have a friendly personality.“

“Not sure how to graciously ask this question, but I am usually taken back when I see foodies without prices on their menu. It makes me think those preparing the menu may be arrogant to believe that price means nothing to patrons. Price matters. Are foods and drinks priced too high to be transparent? Are all patrons so well off that price to them really does not matter? I will sometimes pass over a place if they hide their prices, just because there are so many others that do not hide them. The atmosphere just by itself deserves a reluctant visit.“

“This coffee shop is really unique in DMV. I have had Chai Teas but never heard of Cardamom Coffee. You can get it here under the name Mufawaar Coffee. It's brewed in big kettles that they will just pour over after you order. There are so many other coffee types I have to come back for.

The honeycomb dessert is a must try. There's cheese inside and honey drizzle on top. It's really a new taste for me and I loved it.

The staff was very friendly. They are not all from Yemen though. I don't know why I assumed so lol There's plenty of parking space.

The set up is also very nice for friends to hangout and talk. You can also go upstairs to work with a bit more peace. It's a good cafe I'd come back for!“

Some of the furniture feels a bit cheap, they use those millennial metal chairs you get at a brewery or an axe throwing place or those $30 burger places which feels very 2014 and out of place. “This is my favorite ice cream store in the whole wide world. You can find gelato that’s equally good in some places in Italy but not everywhere, and even then it’s not better than this. Strawberry, golden kiwi, blood orange, mojito, ginger and tumeric, black tea, melons are all our favorites. Each tastes like the best version of the real fruit or food, incredibly smooth, velvety, never sugary sweet, very refreshing and natural. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the loving care of the process. It’s never piled high in the open, and they’ll give tasting to whatever you want to try so you’ll never regret what you order. I use to think they are priced a bit high but now I just feel very lucky to be able to have this any day that I want and not have to take a flight to Italy, so this place is very reasonable.“

“Met my cousin here after work and the place had a really welcoming energy without trying too hard to be trendy. We grabbed a table near the front window and ordered pasta, fries, and iced coffees. The fries came out crispy and properly seasoned instead of bland. My pasta was slightly cooler than expected in the middle, but the server replaced it quickly without acting defensive. Staff seemed genuinely attentive to customers instead of just rushing orders out. Definitely somewhere I’d choose again for casual meetups.“

“i got the mango, strawberry and pistachio, and the strawberry shortcake matcha, the matcha is super good! dose NOT taste like grass make sure to mix it well, the mango has a crunchy outside i believe is white chocolate but its not too sweet and it has kind of a yogurt custard in it and fresh mango jam inside it was delicious and all though it looks “small” it fills you up! pistachio is similar to the mango same crunchy outside but it has dubai choclate filling, its very sweet but good! the strawberry is not a crunchy outside its soft but so good! it has a strawberry short cake inside with a really good strawberry puree or jam. if ur buying these and taking it to go make sure to put in fridge for like 10 minuites because they can kind of melt in the car and not be crunchy.“
