Café de Vienna is a warm and inviting space in a cute old house, filled with cozy nooks and a welcoming, familiar feel. The owner pours a beautiful soul into the cafe, creating a profoundly lovely atmosphere. The sandwiches here are delicious, well toasted and crunchy with great flavor. Specific meals mentioned include an egg and cheese on an English muffin, which was phenomenal with a lovely pocket of air between crispness and warm gooey-ness, and a tuna melt with a delightful dillyness. The breakfast sandwich on an out-of-this-world English muffin and avocado toast were also enjoyed. The french toast was excellent, easily one of the best ever, and the sausage was good. The Affogato is luxurious, with robust espresso poured over ice cream. Pastries like the apple strudel are delicious, flaky, and not overly sweet, and the chocolate croissant is top notch. Espresso drinks such as the cappuccino and latte were not as strong as some wanted, but the owner was quick to fix the drink. The pistachio lattes were perfect. The cafe is a charming neighborhood gem with a great location and nice ambiance, though the space is a little bit cramp. It is worth checking out for the best breakfast in Virginia.
