My wife and I stopped by late on a Sunday afternoon for cups of Matcha on our way to Wolf Trap. The Matcha was very good. But the couple that own and run the cafe is what we remember and why I'm taking time to write this. And the cafe itself is the sort of old-world, home-away-from-home place we seldom find in this increasingly fast-paced, congested region. We live in DC but will drive again or Metro and Uber to return, soon. Many thanks!

Delicious coffee and food made to order. The owners are warm and friendly. A lovely neighborhood atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. I’ve had both breakfast (English muffin with egg) and lunch (Reuben) sandwiches at different times. Both were yummy! Can’t recommend enough. Did I mention ice cream, too?

Afsaneh and Reza are so warmly delightful. I live in Baltimore, but have business in and around NOVA now, so I try and make a pit stop into Cafe de Vienna when I’m in the area. Afsaneh said that I have a bright and uplifting energy when I came in today for the second time, which is such a profoundly lovely thing to say to someone. I think it takes one bright and happy uplifting energy to recognize that in someone else.
