I stopped by Pitango for dessert, and it definitely hit the spot! 😋 I tried two flavors: Stracciatella (vanilla with chocolate chips) and Fondente (dark chocolate). I don't usually eat gelato, so I was pleasantly surprised by the creaminess. The service was excellent; I wasn’t sure what to choose, but the cashier helped me by offering samples and sharing details about each flavor I tried. Pitango Gelato & Coffee offers great coffee and delicious gelato, with flavors like matcha and sorbet. The staff is friendly and responsible, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The authentic Italian gelato is very delicious and flavorful, with the lemon and vanilla bean being favorites. The shop in Old Town Alexandria is very cute inside and has a great little patio area outside. It is a perfect spot to enjoy a treat in a cozy, European-like setting, super convenient to walk down to from the waterfront.
