Heard about Affogato, never had it until now. Walked in on a rainy Sunday morning. Tried the Affogato with a scoop of The Stracciatella (Italian chocolate chip) Gelato. First scoop and sip. Hit the sweet spot. It was perfect, made me forget about the rain. Took my time finishing it. Tried the pistachio Gelato before leaving. All i can say, my taste buds are still dancing. I already shared my experiences with my friends. I know there's a location in Reston and a few locations...
What a great gelato shop!! This place is authentic and well serviced. My affogato was superb. I did however swop the crema for hazelnut which made it exceptional. Definitely worth the visit from DC via metro
This place never disappoints. Really good coffee and gelato/sorbet. We love when they open the large windows on a nice day. Some of the flavors rotate, and nearly half the menu is diary free, including a chocolate sorbet that is so good! My one complaint is that the gelato is way overpriced.
