“While exploring Springfield and the surrounding neighborhoods, I came across a Pakistani spot that feels like a genuine slice of home. From the traditional desi food including chane, paaye, chicken qourma, to the sweets, everything looked incredible, but the Chane and Naan stole the show—absolutely authentic!

“I love a good chicken sandwich and this one is halal so I was extra excited to try this place! Red bird is located in the shopping between a nail salon and hair salon. There are 6 tables, each seating four guests. The cashier was very polite, assisting me with my choices and helping me understand heat levels. The chicken sandwich is on a yummy bun (potato bun?) dressed with a crunchy veggie slaw which is really good. It's not as spicy as Hangry Joe's (where you have to sign a waiver to order the hottest level) so feel free to lean into the spice!“

It's a giant mass of black ink illustration that is way too busy visually, with a teeny tiny name underneath in a hard to read font when you're driving by on a busy road. The name should be VERY PROMINENT from the street. I drove by twice before figuring it out.“

“First time trying Dave's Hot Chicken and wow 🔥🐔 definitely impressed! I ordered the mini 4 pieces, Dave’s Mozz, and the PR Orange Lavaburst drink. Everything was sooo delicious and fresh. “Delicious smash burgers and shakes! Got the classic (as a lettuce wrap) and the jalepeno with oreo milkshake and cheese fries. The fries come unseasoned - but they have a seasoning station to add it yourself - always measure with your heart!
If you want the fries I recommend just getting the regular fries.“

“I really like the Chicken platter with white and Blazin sauce. Portion size is pretty big and always stuffed afterwards. I started replacing the fries on the plate with more salad instead as it’s refreshing.

Seating can be lacking as there’s only 5 tables and bar stools.“

“I enjoyed the chicken and lamb combo plate. It came with massive amounts of rice and a clay oven backed bread. Loved it. The atmosphere was 3 stars for me due to the crowdedness of the layout. Too many tables and hence too many people in an open area. Also took awhile to get our food. Paid over $20 per person.“

Stopped by last night and had a great experience. This is a family-run halal spot and you can really feel the hospitality when you walk in. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and the service was great. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly.

“This was my first experience with this type of food, and it was good! Very filling, the single protein platter was more than I could eat in one sitting, and I'm a rather large eater. I would go back. However, I would say The Halal Guys are comparable to the Little Ceasars or Domino's of their place in the industry. If you want to play it safe with a commercialized version of Halal food, then this is it. Please don't take that as a negative, Little Ceasars has its place in the market & it's time for when necessary, and so does The Halal Guys.“

I was really having a bad day, so this energy really made me excited to be there and eat. Ordering with the little gigglemug boy Ikram really made me a happy cabbage. It was just the pang-wangle I need to brighten my day. I ordered a number 3 with medium spice, and might I tell you it was delightful, dare I say near perfection. This is all thanks to my little kadoova Ikram, he really did it special, even going out of his way to advertise me a special drink called a flash in fruit punch slushy. For this hot day, it really hit the spot. This experience at Dave’s was just a 10/10. The food and service was just amazing. Ikram was simply the bee’s knees, the cherry on top for this experience.to have such another amazing experience at a take out restaurant, it would compare to herding cats! First time at Hal & Als and I ordered the brisket sandwich. the cashier who I assume is the owner was telling me about who he learned to make ribs from down in Atlanta. he was so hospitable too. he asked me to let him know what I thought. I completely forgot. everything was great. halal BBQ is a little different but it blew me away. I'll def revisit when I'm in Arlington again.“

You will find legitimate Egyptian street/comfort food and the staff display true Middle Eastern hospitality & service very rare in America.
