“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.“

“The place to go if you want to have authentic Mexican food.The place small with few tables and some tables outside and the parking is really tight unless you go on weekends round 7 when the adjoining shops are closed.This being a authentic place you will not get the free chips and salsa but the food is delicious.I had the chicken tacos which are topped by pineapple slices and you get 2 tortias in 1 place,the meat was so flavorful and my daughter had the birra and it was amazing.i would highly recommend this place for the food.“

I also got the fries which were also amazing! They were cut and cooked fresh! The price tag is a little high but believe me it it is well worth it!“

“I am visiting DC from the midwest, but I was unexpectedly welcomed home to Egypt for lunch in Dupont Circle. You will find legitimate Egyptian street/comfort food and the staff display true Middle Eastern hospitality & service very rare in America. The music (classic Arabic songs of love and heartbreak lol) and hearing the Egyptian dialect specifically completed the experience.“

“Bamian is a fantastic Afghan restaurant! The staff is extremely professional, friendly, and welcoming, which makes the whole dining experience even better. The food was absolutely delicious, flavorful, and tasted authentic.

I was also very impressed with the portion size. The serving was more than enough for one person and felt like a great value for the price. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and satisfying.

Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone who enjoys Afghan food. Great food, generous portions, and excellent service!“

The guy at the counter recommended a side of the green sauce to go with it which was also great. It came out to $13 after tax including an Arizona tea. Super fresh food at a reasonable price 👍“

“I spoke with a man named Taha to order a variety of Persian kebab, etc. for a Surprise Birthday Party and was very satisfied, as well as the 30 guests who attended and (most being Persian) on the quality of the food. The kebabs were tender, the rice was good quality and the extra sides very plentiful. I would highly recommend this for a large gathering because the price was very reasonable and service very customer friendly, especially ordering from Taha. Kudo's to him and all his help in making this special birthday even more special and worry free for me.“
