“The food here is beyond amazing. Calamari for 10 bucks and it honestly was like 3 servings. I can not wait to go back! The atmosphere here makes you feel like family and Walter is personally the best bartender in town. I can't wait to spread the word and go back. Debating getting up to go get some food right now. It was so good had me drooling like Homer Simpson on a Sunday lol. Will definitely be back!“
“Restaurant is ok, services was quick and staff are nice , food and drinks were good as well. Giving it 4 stars because the music is too loud tot he point that you really have to yell tot he person right next to you and they only have one server that speaks English which is good but ordering can be confusing and could take long if you don't speak Spanish . I would recommend the place though , great for group and small parties.“
“We had a blast here last night at trivia! It was five rounds of 11 questions and I loved how they covered many different topics. I also appreciated using a phone app to play, which definitely helped with hearing questions when the restaurant was packed and quite lively. For food, I got the blackened mahi-mahi and brussels sprouts. The mahi-mahi was scrumptious, tender and smoky from the grill. It was served over yummy cilantro rice and creamy/zesty lemon butter sauce. Needless to say, I wiped my plate clean! The brussels sprouts was also stellar - everything crispy in it from bacon to shallots to the actual brussel sprouts. It was served with bleu cheese, which rounded out the crispy heartiness with just the right amount of funk! We also sampled through a few of the delicious beers on tap from kolsches to sours. Service was prompt and great, too. What a fun time - hope to come back soon!“
“We showed up with 20 people…teenagers included. We got marvelous service and the food was great. Absolute best selection of single-malt Scotch I’ve ever seen at a restaurant…!!! We were there until closing time..!!Kid-friendliness: We had 8 teenagers in our party and they wanted to sit on the other side of the restaurant (away from parents…as teenagers do) and the servers never missed a beat…totally took it in stride…we all had a fabulous time.“
“Came here with friends for dinner. Our reservation was somehow lost between systems, but the staff was thankfully able to find us a table in the lounge. Not ideal for dinner with 4 people, but we made it work!Food was decent, dessert was the favorite course by far. We did the restaurant week menu which was a great deal. Would be interested in coming back for a table in the dining room and to try other items from the menu.“
“I run an alumni club, and Clubhouse is my go-to space for events of all kinds - whether we're hanging at their weekly trivia nights, throwing singles mixers, or even having "fireside chats" with authors, the staff at Clubhouse is always accommodating, kind, and professional. The atmosphere is fantastic, never feeling close or crowded, the food is delicious, and, again, the staff could not be better. A wonderful venue for groups of all kinds.“
“Lived in Buffalo for 5 years so the bar for wings is extremely high. These were pretty good though. I tried the lemon pepper, which had good flavor and were crispy. Also had the honey bbq which were drenched in sauce; it was a bit much. The beignets were delicious and the chicken noodle soup hit the spot. Overall, good food and would recommend. But can’t say they are the best wings I’ve ever had though“
“Ballston Local is not just a restaurant; it's a beacon of culinary delight, casting a warm and welcoming glow over the neighborhood. With its super friendly service and an atmosphere as inviting as a family gathering, this spot is a testament to the joy of shared plates and hearty conversations. Our culinary journey at Ballston Local was nothing short of a gastronomic festival, celebrating the finest in casual dining with a twist of sophistication. The Mama's Meatballs, nestled in herbed ricotta and accompanied by perfectly grilled garlic bread, were so tender and flavorful as if every bite whispers a secret recipe passed down through generations, served with a dollop of love. The Caprese Crostini was a symphony of flavors, harmonizing the saltiness of prosciutto with the freshness of tomato and arugula, all elevated by a drizzle of balsamic reduction that danced on the palate. It wasn't just an appetizer; it was an aria, sung by the ingredients in perfect pitch.Pizza lovers, rejoice, for the Sausage & Roni Pizza is a masterpiece of dough, cheese, and cured meats. The blend of pepperoni, Italian sausage, mozzarella, parmesan, and basil was a testament to the power of simple ingredients coming together to create something magical. Each slice was a ticket to an Italian countryside. The Italian Pork Store Special sandwich was a hearty homage to the classic Italian deli experience, with layers of prosciutto, sopressatta, ham, and fresh mozzarella, accented by roasted peppers and arugula, then kissed with vinaigrette. It was a hearty handheld feast that transported us straight to the streets of Rome, one savory bite at a time. And then, there was the Blumont Burger, a burger behemoth that stood tall and proud. The caramelized onions, gorgonzola, arugula, and bacon came together in a beautiful, messy, glorious union, all slathered in burger sauce that could only be described as "nectar of the gods." It was the kind of burger that demands your attention, commanding the stage with the poise of a seasoned actor. I'm not usually a fan of blue cheeses, but I would come back for this. The beverage menu at Ballston Local was a parade of liquid joy. From a beer and wine list that is both satisfying and inviting to a fun and tasty cocktail menu that sparked conversation and laughter like the "Spa Day" made with gin, lavender simple syrup, and lime juice sparkling with gold flakes, every sip was a celebration of good taste and great company.Overall, Ballston Local, in essence, is more than a restaurant--It's a place where every dish is a discovery, every drink a delight, and every visit a return to a place where you're always welcome.“
“I came to DC from Utah in the fall 2023 semester for a Senate internship. I lived in Crystal City and am a massive sports fan. I was at this place a minimum of three times a week for NFL football games, sometimes more for college games. The staff was amazing and very helpful. They brought my food out quickly each time. The staff even put on my favorite college basketball team when I asked (Utah Valley University Wolverines). Amazing staff, good food, and the best atmosphere at a bar I've ever seen. This place is one of the things I miss about my time in DC the most, and I will definitely be coming back here for more games when I return to DC.“
“Absolutely amazing chili! I loved the Texas and Cincinnati, ultimately went with the Texas with beans. Adding their chili vinegar was a delicious touch!Loved it so much I bought two of their spice packs to make at home.I'm leaving tomorrow but wish I had come in here sooner!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian chili, excellent!“
“Kilroys is a family restaurant that been here forever. It's casual and has an old-fashioned ambiance highlighted by heavy, dark, wood decor and hundreds of posters, photos, signs and magazine covers from decades ago, back to the 30s or 40s. The food is of good, but not great, quality. No connoisseurs here. Despite finding a sign at the entryway they they were short-staffed, our server was prompt, polite, and helpful. Unfortunately the appetizer we ordered , Crispy Fried Calamari, arrived late, barely warm, and soggy. We complained and the server gracefully removed it both from our presence and the bill. Everything else was delicious. Prices are reasonable ($50 - 70 for 2 without alcoholic drinks)“
“For the prices, good food and decent selection of beer. The building is a little run down and the owner is a complete goofball. He saw me with my tablet and told me I better not be trying to hack into his network. I was just reading the WSJ online. Weird dude, has some social skills issues. Hence my rating of 3 for atmosphere. The rest of the staff are pretty pleasant. Not a bad spot if you can avoid the owner.“
“There are two entrances- main entrance is on the main parking lot side of the Eden center (and then you go down stairs). The other entrance is on the back, next to a gym, with less parking (and less light at night) but a door that's easier to find.“
“At least based on my lunch experience, I'm surprised WJ's Tavern is rated so lowly. I loved the salmon wrap...and they even asked how we wanted our salmon done (and mine was perfect medium-rare which is my usual test of the kitchen's attention to detail). It's a great wrap with wasabi slaw poised against the strong salmon flavor with other delicious bits thrown in...but lunch also includes a wide choice of excellent sides (mine was the fine side salad and my companion's elote corn was great, too, served on two short corn cobs). Service was friendly, if a tad slow (it was an off-hour lunch) and the tavern is a cozy place to hang out. There's a great central TV bar with some hunky slinging drinks and working hard. The sour cherry pie and ice cream for dessert was also delicious. Cheap, no; but I'd go back for that salmon wrap ASAP.“
“A fun happy hour spot in a prime spot in Arlington. Decent seating area to pair with the various arcade games you can play (requires $), primarily pool/billiards and pinball. The whole staff was superb from top down. There’s few who you’ll find are more kind than Mel in the service industry. The only caveat I’ll say is it’s essentially self-serve — you have to order your food/drink by the bar. But the swift service more than makes up for it, as I never had to wait more than a minute for my drink.Parking: There’s a paid parking garage right by the restaurant. There’s also streetside parking during certain hours, not sure if it costs money.“
“Well “The Hood” is out and about as Spring is getting officially closer. Had lunch here and it was ok. Good bar atmosphere loud and exciting. Food: good had a la Cubana (possible spelling error). The gang with me had various food. Sorry for no pictures the hood was hungry. Service: good people checking on you as you go. We apparently threw the server off when she asked at the end if it was separate checks and we said yes. She had some difficulty with it 1/2 hr later she finally got the bills right. Atmosphere: if you like the bar type scene a great place to go. Well as the weather gets better The Hood will be out and about again. I’m not here to judge just looking for great food awesome service and a great atmosphere. Remember to be good to each other because you never know when The Hood will be in. Be kind to each other and keep adventuring!“
“We had our son's birthday party here last Saturday. Hard to argue when he (aged 8 now) and 12 of his friends had a great time.Doyle's Outpost has something for everyone, and apparently, a lot of adults come here sans kids, which seemed odd to me, but they do have a full bar and pretty good food. Anyway, there are a lot of arcade games, including the fan favorites. The laser tag arena is really cool--two levels.Since this was a party, we had a table. The party area is just a common area with a bunch of long tables, so you won't have a ton of space dedicated to your group (other similar venues have individual rooms). We had pizza and mac-and-cheese for the kids, and some good appetizers for the adults. The staff were great about being attentive in refilling the pitchers and bringing out the food. They were also on top of the times for our laser tag games, giving us plenty of time to round up the kids. So, yeah, pretty good experience, and most important of all, my son and his buddies had a blast.“
“Listennnnnnn, I've had Astro Doughnuts before and they are amazing. But the one in VA is the only one that gives you a doughnut with espresso in it! They cut a hole in the doughnut put Nutella in there and that keeps it from soaking the doughnut.....whoever invited this is a genius. Chicken sandwiches was one of the best I've had in the DMV. The service was fantastic. She informed me on the specials and how the coffee doughnut was made.“
“Do you like wings? Of course you do. Otherwise why the hell are you looking at eating at a place that basically is a wing place? Are the wings good? Yes. They are good. But the sauces and rubs are freaking delicious and has something for everyone. If you can't find a wing sauce that you like it probably says more about your mental stability than it does about these wings. Maybe you should take some stock of your own well being?Order some sauces. Some beers. Enjoy wings. Be a better human. Also? It's a dive bar atmosphere with people that love what they do. Enjoy that too. You're welcome.“
“Placed a take out order. Received great food and great customer service from an employee named Gerard at the Burke location. His attention to detail and hospitality went above and beyond. Thank you Glory Days (Gerard) for the great customer service.“
“Cute place, loved the decor and all of the lights. the atmosphere was great and the bartenders were super nice. we sat at the bar and they made sure to ask your name and gave you theirs. checked in often and made sure we thought everything was good. there were a ton of options for food which was great, especially for picky eaters! the only negative I would say is it is a small place. obviously the size is out of the restaurants control but it made the space feel a little tight. I would definitely go again and recommend for anyone in the area who wants something simple and good!“
“Formerly (and always) Fast Eddie's. This place has been my "Cheers" for over a decade, and remains my favorite spot for darts, pool, and social gatherings. Always guaranteed to see a few staple regulars wearing a friendly smile, making this spot feel like home. I have so many great memories here with fantastic people I've met here throughout the years.“
“Just a great place to have a relaxing and informal meal. Good food, swift service, unpretentious atmosphere. Lots of TVs tuned to sports channels if that's your thing. If not, you can choose a table away from the bar. Decibel level won't be a problem.“
“Wasn't here for a very long time. Place looked the same as I remembered it, but the bartenders told me I was looking at a complete make-over. Well, now ?. But the thing that wasn't changed was the great service, friendly staff, and that rough-neck type of bar feel that Hardtimes has ALWAYS had. How do I know? I know because I'm a beer ? drinkin' ROUGH-NECK BABY!!!!?????????????????“
“My family and I went here tonight, impromptu outing for us and it was a wonderful time. The staff is nice & personable, the food and drinks are good. Robbie Rob made our night in the dining area. He’s definitely goes above and beyond for his customers. Overall, kudos to good service!“
“This Ethiopian restaurant has authentic flavors and vibrant spices and is the best Ethiopian food in the area. The injera served with a variety of savory stews creates a delightful blend of textures. The filet mignon "yishint tibs" is a must-try.“
“This place is very spacious/open and is great for kids/babies! I came with a group of 5-10 for brunch on a Saturday and there was plenty of space for all of us. Food was great and lots of drink options. Service was nothing to write home about, but I wouldn’t expect super quick/attentive service for a beer hall and it wasn’t too bad.“
“Great local place with good beer rotating beer selections. Personal pizzas including gluten free with many speciality options. Main sandwich options seem to now not come with sides but servings are generous.Dietary restrictions: Gluten and vegan pizza options are called out.Kid-friendliness: Popular with families.“
“Great little diamond in the rough with a cool atmosphere, great karaoke on Tuesdays, comedy, DJ, poker, darts, and other events on different nights. Plenty of screens to watch your favorite sports. Friendly staff, and just a cool place to hang out.“
“It's very good but I had the bad experience that in the end they remove the people who are already aggressively taken, and the d3 security who is supposed to guard only the entrance was chasing the drunks out of the place, it seemed unnecessary to me, really, not much I recommend “
“Took my mom for lunch here and was amazed by how delicious the food was. Best Arroz con Mariscos she's had in 25 years!! The ceviche, jalea & leche de tigre were also top notch. 100% recommend, we've found our go-to peruvian spot in Fairfax!Great service, everyone was very nice!“
“Had a work event here. They roped off a quieter corner for us despite having a tournament going on that night. Their appetizers were tasty, and the beverages were great. We all had a great evening, and really appreciated the venue's willingness to accommodate us.“
“Had the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and the bread basket) featured a generous portion of 3 different kinds of bread). We sat in the smaller restaurant section up front but could see into a huge event area where they had a stage and bar and seating for over 100+. The food was piping hot and excellent! The bread was also hot and fresh The food had a nice low-key spice to it that I loved, some restaurants are catering to a blander pallet but this had a nice flavor without going overboard. I’ll be back to try one of the lunch specials. My hubby and I give it two thumbs up!Parking: In a strip mall with plenty of free parking out front“
“I came here with a friend to play darts. While I didn't get food I did come here to grab a drink and check out the area... The Cue Club is a sports bar and pool hall if you enjoy going with a group of friends for a night out. I think it has the essentials of a good sports bar. Draft beer, good food ( I haven't tried it but the bulgogi sub looks good ), and pool, darts, and foosball for people to play. Service wise it took a minute for me to flag someone down to order some beer but beers did come out quick once I did confirm my order in. I don't know if the cocktails are good but we'll have to try again another time. For what I came here for, darts are in a separate room like the pool tables, and it's very spacious. The darts were available if you chip in 5 dollars, play all you want really. I honestly had fun learning how to play cricket but it is a long game. Although I didn't win against my friend this is enticing enough for me to play more when my friends are available. It's also across the street from O'MyChic so familiar territory for me.“
