“At the I was there I was a customer there that was 20 years ago from 1999-2002. It was a great atmosphere everyone that worked there at the time were very friendly and I got along with everyone. I met alot of people and made friends there. I live in North Carolina permanently with family I left Washington D.C area in 2017 and I regret not visiting back at Hard times before I left. Hopefully when or if I come to D.C (Springfield virginia). I will definitely stop there again for a visitor. Does anyone remember me? Jeremy Page“

“I’ve been coming to proper for maybe close to two years now. They have my favorite food item in all of DC (Birria Eggrolls that I highly recommend) and the kindest bartenders and servers. They make me nonalcoholic versions of beverages so that I can try them if I ask (shout out to Molly). Everyone that works at this location is so sweet and helpful and give the best recommendations. Recently went for a couple of the World Cup games and they were swamped but still did their best. So proud of you all and will continue coming as long as I am in DC.“

“Fantastic food! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. As someone who is German, I can honestly say the chicken schnitzel tasted just like the authentic schnitzel I grew up with. It was perfectly crispy, tender, and full of flavor. Every dish was fresh, well prepared, and absolutely delicious and perfection. We had a wonderful meal and will definitely be coming back. Just visited this new Ethiopian restaurant and was blown away! They serve fresh meat just like back home—raw, tender, and perfectly seasoned. It’s hard to find this kind of quality and authenticity around here. The service was excellent, and the team made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. No complicated menu—just amazing food done right. If you know good Ethiopian cuisine, this spot is going to be one of the best in the area. Highly recommend!“

“What a hidden gem in Fairfax! We absolutely loved Kelly’s Oyster House & Bar. The building itself has so much character and gives you that cozy, old-school neighborhood feel that is getting harder and harder to find.
The food was fantastic, and the oysters were fresh and beautifully served. The menu has a great selection of seafood and specials, but whatever you order, do not leave without dessert! Their dessert selection is wonderful, and the Hula Pie was AMAZING , easily one of the highlights of our meal.

“I am here for a conference. I had just gone on a 2.5 hour walk to /exploration of memorial park & was absolutely exhausted and wanted something in the hotel that I could take up to my room. I walked in, there were no tables in sight. Super busy. I ran into one waiter, Francis/Francisco, he personally brought me to the point of sale to put in my to-go order and told me to come back and ask for him. They had it ready in 30 minutes (a quick waiting time for how busy it was), and it was amazing. Francis was so sweet. I can’t thank him enough!!“

“Del Ray Pizzeria is a neighborhood icon! Best pizza in the DMV area, friendly staff, and an excellent beer list. It really is just a one of a kind neighborhood spot: kids coloring menus with family events, outdoor dining with lots of dogs, inventive cocktails, constantly rotating beer menus, drag shows, bingo nights, live performances, lots of locals, and a sports always playing on one or all of the televisions. Most unique of all: Flipside Speakeasy is located right above the restaurant offering a quieter atmosphere, even MORE cocktails, and a great vinyl record selection! Both are a must see on anybody’s bar hopping excursion through Del Ray.“
