“I passed by the Restaurant many times and they were always willing to listen to my orders to take home the very good service. I know that there is always something to improve but that is what it is about to acquire excellence, it is my simple experience and personal opinion.“
“This is the best restaurant ever!!!! Work had me in a hotel directly next-door to Cocorico’s and I ate there almost every day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all amazing. The staff is super friendly and pointed in the right direction of several great choices to order. If you have never ate here, I highly recommend you choose too! Nothing bad on the menu! Enjoy!!!“
“This restaurant delivers what matters most. Great food and great service. The food is fresh and flavorful. There is a wide selection! I have just opted to go down the menu everything is good. And the front end staff is patient, friendly and aims to please. Well worth the ride for excellent take-out!“
“Excellent good service, very friendly staff, I really recommend it. I have been going to this restaurant for approximately 12 years and I really love it because my children are happy to know that we are going to have lunch there. Thank you very much to all the staff who work in this place. .“
“Very good service and kindness from the person who served us (Ariana) for the first time we ate here! And the truth is excellent! Delicious food! The anticuchos were great and “Everything was super delicious, thank you for your attention! We will be back soon ????“
“I’ve been eating here since I was 8 and every time I return to DC this is my first stop. No other chicken place compares. I dream about the dark meat + white sauce + Inca cola combo and would gladly have it for my last meal on earth. Beyond grateful for this epic institution ?“
“Trouble communicating with the staff behind the counter so another guest in line helped me. Tried the fried trout $17.99, 1/2 chicken plate $14.99, yucca fries, fried rice, corn and onion in tomato salad. Everything was good except the yucca fries pick something else.“
“For flavor, friendly staff, and down to earth settings, El Fuego is worth a visit. I’ve been going there for about 4 years now and always have a great experience. It’s a small place with limited seating but if you’re with family or friends you’ll enjoy. The setting is very laid back so go for the food. You’ll be glad you did. This time I tried the pollo tallarin saltado while my wife had the arroz con pollo. All very good.“
“I don’t know how this place doesn’t have a line out the door all the time. I’ve waited to write this review for a whole year to make sure we didn’t have a fluke experience, or it wasn’t just good because it was a new place. This is easily the best Peruvian chicken place in the DMV. My wife and I have tried probably 15+ places, and this place is the best. 1) it’s always extremely clean. 2) the (assumed) owner is super nice. It’s always the same older gentlemen at the register with a goatee. 3) the food is ALWAYS fresh. We’ve came early, late, in between lunch and dinner hours, it doesn’t matter. Our fries and plantains are always piping hot, and the plantains are always cooked PERFECTLY. The chicken is always moist and tender. The chicken also tastes different and better here - it is marketed as charcoal chicken, and you can taste that. It has that “summer bbq cooked on a charcoal Webber grill” taste, unlike some other places that taste like a gas grill.I personally don’t care for the Peruvian style sauces, but my wife loves them. They offer the 3 selections, a yellow, orange, and green, with no spice to pretty spicy.Highly recommend!“
“Came to Chilcano's for the first time with my family this weekend and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the food was expectacular. We were served by Julio and we couldn't have asked for a better server. He was very kind and informed us about every dish. We will be definitely coming back. Thank you for everything Julio.“
“Staff is super nice and helpful. The place is clean and not usually crowded. Pupusas are ok. You have to try their Hot Chocolate in winter and Churrasco, which is absolutely delicious. Served with tasteful real veggies and Yuca frita is it an amazing option. Will be coming back pretty often!“
“Just found out about this place and was excited to check it out. We ordered the pollo saltado and llomo saltado to go. Service was quick. Food was reasonably priced and SO GOOD. So happy to have a Peruvian restaurant in Fairfax. We'll definitely go back again.“
“I was happy to go out of my way to purchase again a full chicken from Wild Chicken in Fairfax City Virginia. The first time I enjoyed there flame cooked rotisserie chicken was very memorable. I found the flavor is very unique a special recipe, worthy of returning to. Its not at all like a fast food rotisserie chicken place, its unique, so I expect to pay a bit more for the quality. I know I'm supporting local business and the staff that produces the wonderful food. Cheap and inexpensive rotisserie chicken can be found anywhere. The taste and memorable flavor of Wild Chicken is only found in Fairfax City Virginia and worth the drive to enjoy it! I’ll visit again, you can be sure of that. 11/18/2023 Katherine“
“Stands out as a gem for those with a penchant for Peruvian flavors. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by an ambiance that was both clean and festive, making the dining experience not just about the food but also the joyous atmosphere it's served in. The staff at the register were exceptionally welcoming, contributing to a very pleasant start to the meal. The food, oh the food! It was nothing short of spectacular. Spin Pollo offers a larger selection list than what you might find at typical Peruvian chicken spots, ensuring that there's something for everyone. Whether you're in the mood for the classic Pollo a la Brasa, bursting with spices and cooked to perfection, or you're looking to try something different from their expansive menu, you won't be disappointed. The flavors were deep, rich, and beautifully balanced, showcasing the best of Peruvian cuisine. The food came out piping hot, a clear indicator of the freshness and care with which each plate was prepared. It's rare to find a place that pays such close attention to the quality of both its service and its cuisine.“
“I've frequented this location several times, and the food has always been delicious. However, on my recent visit, despite specifying "no tomatoes and light onions" for my pollo saltado, the dish arrived with tomatoes and an abundance of onions. This deviation from my order was disappointing, considering they usually get it right. Nevertheless, the flavors were still on point, showcasing the authentic taste of Peruvian cuisine. Hopefully, they can improve their attention to custom orders for a more consistent dining experience.“
“I had the joy of trying this business for the 2nd time. Obviously, the first time I ate a Chicken and the 2nd Time I wanted to try the Chicken Soup. It was great! Had enough Chicken and Vegetables to suffice my hunger! You can always get rice on the side in case it isn't enough. This Soup is great for either sick days or hangovers! Will be back soon!“
“Has their fish ceviche and it was amazing. Also had their grilled fish. No pics unfortunately but it was ok. The menu says grilled but it was actually fried. Plus, I don’t like tilapia and that’s the type of fish it was which was disappointing. But my ceviche was the star of the show! Definitely amazing. Added the onions and the hot sauce and I was in love!“
“Breathtaking experience. I have been trying out DC area restaurants for months, and Inca Social is my favorite. Heavenly seafood, juicy and well prepared and seasoned steaks, expert use of chimichurri-- this place is a true delight. My compliments to the chef and to Cesar, the server. Very polite, welcoming and attentive.“
“What a great place to have real Peruvian food! The Lomo Saltado, Ceviche and Chicken Soup are excellent to name just a few of the extensive menu items. The dine-in restaurant is spacious and inviting, the service is friendly, and the location is convenient. The new management has really done wonders, and creates a very nice dining experience. Take out and delivery options are available, and the prices are very reasonable. This is THE place to experience Peru !“
“Super yummy rotisserie chicken place. My fries were crispy and very hot, the chicken was seasoned nicely and was moist with crispy skin, and the plantains were excellent! Very good service, staff were great in helpful me find something safe to eat with my severe shellfish allergy. They do serve shrimp here but they do not fry it, so you can still eat the fries and plantains because they're not fried with shrimp. $1 extra to add plantains to meal, so half chicken with two sides (fries and plantains) was $17, which is pretty standard. Clean dining room, plenty of seating, plenty of parking when I visited. You can probably order in English, but they couldn't really understand detailed food allergy questions in English so I switched to Spanish. That's probably not a problem for a regular order though.“
“Lisssssssen. Peruvian brothers hits the spot. The beef empanada with their hot sauce is GOOD. The chicha morada is meh but the lomo al pobre chefs kiss! Everything was flavorful. Next time I'll go back for happy hour. I bought both the rocoto and the sweet and spicy sauce and both were good.“
“We came to Lima Coffee Shop for an early lunch, and we're glad that we stopped by! This cute little Peruvian cafe is cozy and offers some good eats. We ordered: +a blanca Mocha - this was prepared very well; strong, creamy, and tasty! +a beef empanada - the exterior was a bit too thick, and I wasn't a fan of the filling flavors +a chicken empanada - the exterior was a bit too thick, and I wasn't a fan of the filling flavors +a Pollo sandwich - kind of like a chicken salad sandwich with mayo on a French bread; bread could have been less crusty and more fresh; the chicken salad itself was seasoned well and tasty; comes with shoestring potato sticks (I thought it came with fries); don't forget to request extra of the spicy sauce! +a Lomo Saltado - very generous in portions, this was prepared well and had great flavor; don't forget to request more of that spicy sauce! The spicy sauce, which seems like a spicier version of the aji, was amazing and a great complement to the food. Service was very friendly and kind. You order first at the cashier, and then just choose any of the tables. There also seems to be patrons coming in for to-go orders. Plenty of parking in the strip plaza lot. +tasty hot sauce! +great coffee +friendly service +plenty of parking“
“Best chicken on the highway!!! You will NOT be disappointed! Guys try to chickpeas it's on point! The yuca yummy yummy ? the staff is very friendly, the owner is A+ he come to your table makes sure th service is upto par, something that you don't see nowadays. The music in this restaurant......you just want to get up and start dancing. Capital chicken you have a fan!!!!“
“We had an excellent experience at this restaurant on Sunday. The male trout that was in the special was delicious. We also ordered a steak with pepper, aji de gallina and some noodles. The aji de gallina was not what we expected compared to the trout, but it was not bad. The prices were decent and the food was of very good quality. The Peruvian flavor that does not disappoint. The service was good too. This restaurant will continue to be one of our food options in the area.“
“This place is nice. The ambience is a little dull, and the food took about 40 minutes. We watched people who came 20 minutes after us get served first. Carne asada was pretty good, but the slaw was really off-putting. Chicken pupusas are $2.95 and big for the price you get, so I would say that is the star of the experience. Tres leches was quite disappointing and dry. The chicken pupusas are nice to get here, but everything else is meh compared to Parrita’s.“
“Spin Pollo is absolutely one of the best pollo a la brasa I had in the Us. I was incredibly wowed because the place is very little but they serve really good pollo a la brasa. Chicken is juicy, well prepared, potatoes are just like in Perú, cut, fresh, fried there not industrialized potatoes, sauces are good. Even one time my husband brought me chicken from falls church to Miami and the chicken was impecable. Love this place!“
“We got takeout for dinner from this place and we were hesitant since we didn’t know anything about it. OMG, you have to try this food. It was amazingly good. The chicken was juicy and smoky… just perfect. My 9 yr old ended up almost eating the whole chicken by himself and he’s a picky eater. Highly recommend. The ceviche was spicy and on point. We will be coming back for more.“
“I had to think over whether I wanted to post this or not as I'd selfishly like to keep this hidden gem for myself, but alas, the fine people that run this place deserve all the praise. Top notch Peruvian food. I don't think there is one comparable within a 20 mile radius.“
“Update to my previous review. This is now definitely the best Peruvian chicken you will find in the Woodbridge area. They hit a little bump on the road after they reopened in mid-2019, but they are back to consistently juicy and their chicken tasting as closed as you can get to actual Peruvian chicken with that peculiar Peruvian chicken seasoning.“
“10/10 for chicken and value. $16.50 gets you half a chicken (two quarters) + 2 sides!!! I got spinach potatoes (6/10) and thick steak fries. The seasoning they put on the chicken is some sort of green sauce and is very juicy. Hole in the wall for “
“I love it because I walked all the way from the Franconia Springfield Metro Station. When I got there, my team FC Barcelona playing against PSG at the 70th. Minute tied 2-2. In the end, Barca scored and won the game 3-2. Love the food and I ate it using my hands. It’s the only way. I ate the rice with fork of course.“
