“I have been visiting this place, and I regret not discovering it sooner. The food is delicious, served in generous portions, and if you come in feeling tired after work, the staff will take care of you with genuine warmth. The restaurant is clean and has great music suitable for families, couples, and singles. I’ve dined at other restaurants, but I can confidently say that Wild Chicken offers exceptional customer service.“

“My first visit and I got the Chicken Wrap and fries. The wraps were huge and I received a generous portion of fries. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and the grilled veggies added to flavor. I think next time I would ask for more chutney and not get the fries.
If there is one con, it did take nearly 20 minutes from ordering to getting my meal.“

They’re all pretty consistent but today on Friday it was somehow very long line which is unexpected but luckily the line later moved by yeah the place is a little dainty could be updated.“

“A new place so we tried it out. All of the traditional dishes were great. The chicken being the main event. My spouse likes tilapia so she tried it. It was not good. It is not a filet so loaded with bones. Worse, it looked and tasted like it had been cooked hours before and sat under a heat lamp. Everything else was good. The folks are nice and the atmosphere is fresh and clean.“

“The food here is amazing. I had to check myself a few times because I was sitting there devouring my dinner like an animal, lol. The chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside. The plantains and green beans stood out on their own even without rhe chicken. At any other restaurant, green beans are just a filler side item, but here they are standout delicious. Possibly the best I have ever eaten. They cleaned tables as soon as customers left. Service was great. We were totally impressed with this place. We looked at other places for dinner, and left here convinced that there is no other restaurant within nearby that would have been more satisfying.“

“This place looked good so we wanted to give it a try. We got the pollo saltado (chicken with red onion and fries in a tasty sauce with rice) and pesto lomo (beef with spaghetti in a basil pesto). Both were served with garlic bread, and both were delicious. I asked for the chicken to be without tomatoes. Unfortunately it was served with tomatoes, but Geraldine apologized and quickly replaced it with no tomatoes. We also tried the raspberry cola inglesa (yum) and flancocho - a chocolate / vanilla-ish (?) cake that was delicious. The prices seemed a bit high, but the food and menu seemed very authentic. 100% Peruvian according to them... Our bill said "Hot and cold" so maybe it's their partner?“

The chicken was incredibly juicy, and packed with flavor, but it was the legendary green and yellow sauces that completely stole the show. It was delivered exactly on time and was incredibly easy to set up, making it the perfect stress-free, crowd-pleasing upgrade from the usual boring corporate sandwich platters.“

“Ordered the 1/4 chicken meal with a drink and it was delicious! ? The chicken was well seasoned, moist, and so flavorful! Rice and salad were good as well. Also enjoyed the white and green (mildly spicy) sauce. Yum, yum, yum…and nicely priced for the plentiful portions received! ?? “I’ve been coming to this location for many years, going all the way back to when this place was called El Rancho. Even back then, it was my go-to spot for Peruvian chicken. The skin was always perfectly cooked, the chicken was marinated to perfection, and the level of service was consistently excellent.

Over the years, the restaurant evolved into Hondu Pollo, introducing Honduran flavors alongside their classic Peruvian dishes. In my opinion, this change only made the place better. The menu now offers a great mix of Honduran and Peruvian options, and everything I’ve tried has been flavorful and satisfying.

One thing I truly appreciate is how welcoming the environment is. I don’t speak Spanish, and at times I feel like I might be the only non-Spanish speaker in the room lol but that has never been an issue. The staff has always been friendly, patient, and helpful, and I’ve consistently felt welcomed every time I visit.

They’ve also made some updates to the interior over the years. There’s now a small bar area where the coolers used to be, and interestingly enough, they even have slot machines. At first, you might think that would make the place less family-friendly, but that hasn’t been my experience at all. I still see families with children there all the time, and the environment remains comfortable and community-oriented.

If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be menu pricing accuracy. On my most recent visit, I ordered the pollo saltado, which was listed on the screen as $14.99, but the receipt showed $16.99, bringing the total to just under $19 with tax. The price is still reasonable for the portion and quality, but updating the menu boards for accuracy would improve transparency and prevent confusion.

That said, this place absolutely earns five stars from me. I’ve had Peruvian chicken from many places over the years, and Hondu Pollo remains one of the best I’ve ever had. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, the service is reliable, and the welcoming atmosphere keeps me coming back year after year.
