“The good:Chicken was a really big portion (twice the size of a Chick-fil-A patty)Chicken was hot! (temperature) even after a 5 minute drive homeThe spice is mixed into the batter, rather than being a sauce, and the Medium is pretty spicy, which is a refreshing change.Waffle fries were really tasty! The not so good:The "Hangry Sauce" is basically Chipotle mayo. I asked if it was mayo based, and was told no. I really dislike mayo, and it was slathered all over the patty. Even after wiping it off, it was too much. The fries are somewhere between a small and a medium, a couple more would've been appreciated. The pickles are really thick, but you only get two on your sandwich. A 50% thinner cut with an extra pickle or two would've gone a long way on getting the taste on every biteI'll definitely go back, but will probably try the Chicken Waffles instead of the sandwich. I don't like coleslaw or mayo, which seemed to be the big draw for the sandwich.“
“10/10 must try! My partner, his brother, and I all got the chicken, plantains, and fried yuca and it was amazing! The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the yuca was fried to perfection, and the plantains were perfectly sweet! The yellow sauce and salsa verde were the perfect complements to the dish and each had their own wonderful sweet or spicy balance to them! The atmosphere is authentic and while there’s very little seating the food is something you could take anywhere if your patient enough to wait before eating!Parking: Parking is shared with other businesses in the strip so availability depends on the time of day.Kid-friendliness: I believe I saw a portion on the menu for kids but the kids I saw there were happy to get the chicken and French fries.“
“I don’t know how this place doesn’t have a line out the door all the time. I’ve waited to write this review for a whole year to make sure we didn’t have a fluke experience, or it wasn’t just good because it was a new place. This is easily the best Peruvian chicken place in the DMV. My wife and I have tried probably 15+ places, and this place is the best. 1) it’s always extremely clean. 2) the (assumed) owner is super nice. It’s always the same older gentlemen at the register with a goatee. 3) the food is ALWAYS fresh. We’ve came early, late, in between lunch and dinner hours, it doesn’t matter. Our fries and plantains are always piping hot, and the plantains are always cooked PERFECTLY. The chicken is always moist and tender. The chicken also tastes different and better here - it is marketed as charcoal chicken, and you can taste that. It has that “summer bbq cooked on a charcoal Webber grill” taste, unlike some other places that taste like a gas grill.I personally don’t care for the Peruvian style sauces, but my wife loves them. They offer the 3 selections, a yellow, orange, and green, with no spice to pretty spicy.Highly recommend!“
“The smiles that Amira welcomed us while ordering through drive thru was delightful after a tiring day, Thank you Amira, even my son’s words what a nice lady, in addition to the gentleman when we paid as well for the lady who handed us the food.Thank you everyone and Thank you Amira“
“Excellent chicken and waffles and sandwiches. Came on a Friday night and it wasn’t crowded and service was great. Mind the heat levels though - I ordered No Heat and it was perfect for me. Interesting but not spicy. Spouse ordered mild and it was almost too hot. Amazing chicken and will be back!Kid-friendliness: Totally kid friendly!“
“Freddy's is often compared to In-N-Out for its similar focus on burgers, but with its own unique twist. Their thin, crispy fries and custard shakes are also popular. Freddy's typically earns praise for its fresh ingredients and classic American flavors. However, some might find the menu slightly limited compared to In-N-Out. Overall, if you're looking for a tasty burger spot reminiscent of In-N-Out, Freddy's is definitely worth a try.“
“Man do I just love duck donuts! I mean twice in 1 week speaks volume lol the donuts served warm melt in your mouth. They have a different flavor for every taste you have in mind. The service is always pleasant even when they have that afternoon rush. If you haven't had a duck donut before I highly recommend. Do a search to your nearest they are all over the dmv.“
“amazing store with a lovely staff!! i go there all the time and get the #1 combo (steak and chicken kabob) food is always delicious, i recommend the white sauce with your meal, it'll really make you wanna come back for more the next day. i tell everyone how great of a restaurant this is, and they all agree. try it out for sure!“
“The burgers are better than most places however they put tons of mayonnaise or cream sauce on them which they left on even when I asked for sauces on the side. At a later time I asked for no mayonnaise, ketchup mustard on the side, and they put the ketchup/mustard on the burgers themselves. They put too much sauce- and the mustard appeared to be Dijon mustard or another type of mustard which really didn't go well with the burger. The gyro here is decent but it is stuffed with too many veggies or things besides the traditional lettuce, tomato, and onion. The gyro meat is a lot greasier than most gyro places so I am wondering if they fry it or add some oils to it- most places have the rotating cone for gyro meat but they might be making it differently here. The burger patties are fairly thin but you do get a double patty burger.“
“Food here is excellent! The street corn has so much flavor! Love the mango salsa!! I got a baja bowl with chicken and black beans; my boyfriend got a chicken burrito. Both were very good! We ordered via Door Dash, but will definitely give the restaurant a try next time for sure. Highly recommend. Get the street corn!!“
“Before they franchised, I ate at the first 5Guys off of 395 in Virginia at the King St exit. It had no tables or chairs, just a big bag of peanuts to shell and eat while you waited. You threw the shells on the floor. Catered to blue collar workers who sat in or on their pickup trucks outside to enjoy their burgers and fries. To their credit, they kept the essence in the franchise. Fresh meat and potatoes, identical menu. The King St spot closed a long time ago, and I stopped there for a moment of worshipful silence. Now there are about 1300 locations. Identical food to the original. Still great burgers and fries, plus tables to sit down inside. Excellent!“
“In my 20 some years being in luxury service industry I have never seen anyone as amazing as the manager Alisa in this Chick-fi-a location. Her energy is absolutely phenomenon, her approach to her staff and customers and even the food delivery service people. She is an absolute gem!!! We have a 3 year old daughter and usually go to chick-fil-a location with a playground, hands down this location will be on top of our list thank to Alisa and her team!!! Thank you so much for everything you do, like i said the world needs more people like Alisa!!!Kid-friendliness: This location does have a play area for the kids!“
“The manager was so helpful, kind, and thoughtful. I came in with four kids, we were in a rush, and going to be eating in the car. The staff was friendly, quick, and got everything in our order right. Without being asked, they put each kids meal in a larger bowl that fit the entrée and side, gave me extra napkins, and even marked the lids for easy distribution in the car. The bathrooms were clean for the kiddo potty stop, and we left with smiles on our faces. We all enjoyed our meals very much!“
“Super late craving for this pregnant mama! And the chantilly location on Metrotech closed an hour early! So I called this location and told them my situation and oh my gosh I will never go to any other firehouse! They were so nice. We got here In about 10 minutes and as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a perfect smile and “welcome to firehouse” they were soooo nice. Especially Fernando! He deserves a raise or something really special. He was so personable and understanding. It was like talking to a friend! Our card wasn’t working and he was so patient with us and helped us out. It was the best experience I’ve ever had at firehouse.“
“For something that's hidden in an office park I was surprised. Everything was cooked to order fresh. Very good breakfast sandwich hot toasty. Definitely coming back here.Hopefully for lunch to see what they got in store. But breakfast they got it locked down a love kind of like the deli atmosphere. Is there are restrooms for paying customers. Great bang for your buck. Definitely coming back.“
“Just wanted to give a shout out to this Subway, my experience was incredible. I'm normally a very hard person to please and the staff in this Subway really wowed me. That Italian sub on herb & cheese bread had to have been one of my top five favorite subs of all time. The care and precision with which the subway lady placed each and every lead of lettuce and slice of tomato came through in the taste and enjoyment of my delicious sandwich. Jared, Subway man, wherever you are, I know you'd be proud. THANK YOU subway team for that brief moment of happiness.“
“I generally hate paying money for a sandwich I could make at home myself, but this was different. The staff was patient with us and went over everything in their meals. The manager overheard me asking about the potato soup and came out from the back to explain. Turns out all their soups and breads are made fresh on premises. The atmosphere is considerably better than Subway, and feels like a restaurant rather than a kitchen with tables.“
“This a great option for something filling for a great price! We ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi, chicken and salmon hibachi, chicken dumplings, shrimp tempura roll, and 2 extra yummy sauces and paid $32. Quick and polite service! We were starving and ate the sushi and dumplings on the way home but the shrimp tempura roll was my favorite! It was warm and crunchy but I think that’s intended since it’s fried but I loved it especially with the pickled ginger. My food was filling and so good I ate the majority of it without the yummy sauce in the car lol. No regrets stopping here for quick to go dinner!“
“They prepare tasty and varied sandwiches. Although the place is rather small, things are usually requested by phone, there is room for a couple of tables and in summer another two outside. They are fast in preparing the order and I repeat, these sandwiches are "tasty". Parking is free and there are plenty around.“
“I've been to this location several times, it's clean and convenient with great parking availability. Last time I went, the two staff making sandwiches were a little grumpy, so it was a while until I returned. But today, Sandra made my experience terrific, I appreciate her attention and her friendliness. I will definitely come back here.“
“Absolutely 5-?place. Why? (1) They are genuinely hospitable and you will feel their positive vibes as soon as they start greeting you. (2) The place is very clean, well-maintained, and organized, with good distance between tables. I like their booths better?. (3) They serve authentic and VERY delicious Afghan dishes. Kabobs are soft and juicy. Shrimps are crazy delicious and soft (never chewy). Ghabeli-polow is the best! (4) Their quality of service and dishes are consistently great. (5) Their price is competitively low for such large portions.Highly recommended!“
