“I was in the area doing some shopping and wanted to take a break for lunch. I searched for Thai food nearby, and this restaurant popped up, so I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did because the food was delicious.

I ordered the Ka Praw with Chicken and it was really good. I also got a Thai tea, which was delicious and paired perfectly with my meal. The service was great as well. It was an extremely hot day, and they were very attentive about keeping my water glass filled, which I really appreciated.

Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back. I love Thai food, and this spot did not disappoint.“

“Wow, really good Thai food. Reminds me of home. It’s very difficult to find good som tum because most places make it too sweet in order to meet local tastes in the States, so it’s always a good sign of quality when the som tum is good, and this one’s excellent. Nice balance citrusy,and lots of crunch and umami just the way it should be. Their other dishes are excellent too, the first place I’ve eaten from that reflects what authentic Thai food actually tastes like. Food quality is excellent and the service is excellent and friendly too. A must visit if looking for great Thai food.“

“I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. “Food was delicious. Our party had Pad See Ew, Panang Curry, Drunken Noodles, Hang Over Lo Mein, and Thai Fried Rice and everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was very attentive and came to refill drinks and check if we needed anything multiple times. We were there to celebrate my son's graduation and they brought out some complimentary Thai donuts! We definitely plan on returning.“

“WOW! I live in DC and have tried basically every Thai place in DC but rarely make it to VA. Thai is some of my favorite food. My main complaint with most DC places is that the food is NOT spicy enough. Not the case here! I got the drunken noodles tonight and hands down they were the spiciest best I've had in the area! “I ran across this place on door dash and tried the drunken noodles and the flavor was so good but just a tad spicy for me. However, the flavor was so good I just had to try it again. “Decided to try mae ornnit with my sister based on the strong reviews they have. Our server provided excellent, attentive service from start to finish. Mixed reviews on the food: Papaya salad was a downer. Lacks that nice flavor with fish sauce and papaya slices were sliced a bit too thick. Tom kha gai and chicken wonton soups were a winner. Lovely coconut milk flavor for tom kha soup. Fried tofu was pretty decent. The sweet and sour sauce for crispy flounder rocked, but I was expecting a slightly fresher flounder than what we had. Overall a pretty nice experience and we may return if we pass by the area again.“

“The food was good, quick and tasty. I only had one dish and that was enough two a second meal for a lunch so I am glad I didn't order an appetizer cause then I would have so full. The portion size is good for the price of the dish. The dish I has was the beef green curry and it was very good with the right level of heat. The red wine selection was also very decent and I would go back for their daily happy hour for $8 glasses and deals of appetizers. This is certainly a place I will have to explore and try other items. Looking forward to the traditional Pad Thai as well as some of the other curries. And a really good Thai styled spring roll.“

The interior is actually really beautiful with traditional Thai decor, and it has a nice, cozy atmosphere.We ordered the chicken Pad Thai and the beef Pad See Ew. Both had amazing wok flavor, and the spice level was spot on. We also did the lunch special, which was an awesome value because it came with free spring rolls. The only minor letdown was the mango sticky rice at the end—the mango was a bit sour and underripe, but the main dishes completely made up for it.“

“This was one of those deals where I viewed the menu before I went to the restaurant. I sat outside because it was a nice evening.
I had the duck roll appetizer and crying tiger.
Everything came out pretty fast. I thought I had ordered duck spring rolls, but this turned out to be like a burrito, with julienned cucumber and hoisin sauce inside. It was alright, but I wasn’t really a fan.
The crying tiger was cooked perfectly medium rare like I asked. The sauce was a little thinner and lighter than I’m used to getting back in Thailand, but it tasted alright. The beef paired well with the steamed rice I opted for. I think, in retrospect, I would have preferred the nam Tok beef dish and the shrimp spring rolls. Maybe next time.“

“Had read some mixed reviews but we gave it a shot and we were greatly impressed! We called ahead for our party of 10 and they had our reservations ready and accommodated us nicely. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Our party ranged from age 14 to 55, some loved Thai and some had never tried it. There was something for everyone to enjoy on the menu. Plus, it was very reasonably priced. We had a large party and it didn't break the bank, as they say. Great food and comradery was had by all! I don't normally write reviews, but again, I was impressed. Definitely recommend!“

“We ate here on a Thursday night, arriving at 7pm. We were seated upstairs and it was very warm in the upstairs seating area. They did turn on a fan type device after we were seated.
The food was excellent. However, the service was slow. We were pretty much ignored the first 15 minutes we were there and not asked if we wanted a cocktail or appetizer.
We finally place our order and received our meals after being there approximately 40 minutes.
Again, the food was excellent. My wife had the Yellow Curry and I had the Drunken Noodles with Shrimp.
We walked from our lodging, but parking might be a challenge.“
