“We had a great meal at Gypsy Kitchen! For four of us, we got 8 of the small plates including hummus, falafel, cauliflower, broccolini with labeneh, croquettes, and beet salad. These dishes all were deliious and came with a side of pita bread right out of the oven. We also ordered cocktails that included a special sake-based sangria created for the Cherry Blossom Festival. It was light and refreshing. Perfect for a warm evening. Our server was wonderful.“

“We had an early dinner before attending a performance at the Ford’s Theater. We made reservations through Open Table and were immediately seated upon arrival. The service was great. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. Dessert, Cafe de Olla, was phenomenal. Pics are only some of the items we tried. Great atmosphere for date night and a milestone birthday celebration. Highly recommend.“

The rigatoni alla vodka was the best I’ve ever had and I highly recommend the smoked scallops and roasted chicken as well. Just great service and atmosphere. The music was a huge plus as well. “I had the pleasure of dining at The Hitching Post DC. I ordered the grilled lamb chops, mac & cheese, collard greens. The lamb chops are in my top 2 of the best I've ever tasted. I don't normally order mac & cheese when I go out to a restaurant, but this order was perfect as well. The collard greens could use a little vinegar, however, they were still delicious. I will definitely dine there in the near future. The lemon cake had was flavorful, moist and delicious, too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Taberna del Alabardero Restaurant is stunning in terms of architecture and ambiance—the interior and overall design are truly amazing.

However, the food didn’t quite meet my expectations. While the setting is impressive and makes for a beautiful dining experience, I found the flavors and dishes themselves to be underwhelming compared to the atmosphere.

Overall, it’s worth visiting for the architecture and vibe, but don’t expect the food to wow you as much.“

“not. a. single. miss. went here for a date and the vibes were immaculate -- we were seated at one of the window seats, allowing us a great view of passerby. we ordered the salmon belly with jeow som, perfectly fatty and tangy; the jaew bong wings with the sauce that was so unforgettable that i had to scoop it over my rice; incredibly tender thom khem (pork ribs); sweet-but-not-too-sweet black sesame sticky rice with green tea ice cream as dessert. absolutely going to return. recommend a reservation if possible.“

“If you’re looking for a place that serves up dry ciders, look no further. You have to order everything online and they bring it out to you. I’ll definitely return to buy some more ciders to-go.“

“Don’t let Atxondo’s modest looks deceive you. I was skeptical but some friends wanted to try this place so I went along. I was very pleasantly surprised. We ate vegetarian and everything was excellent. I can recommend the brussel sprouts, tortilla española, crispy potatoes, coliflor, golden beets, fried shishitos, and risotto. I almost forgot to mention the interesting drink menu and the best flan I’ve ever had. Service was great too. Go with a group so you can try everything!“

“I love this place so much. I live in the neighborhood and was thrilled when the Chicatana team could move to a bigger space and make this a wine and tapas spot.

The wine is excellent and the food is absolutely amazing. The gambas de ajillo are sublime, as are the papas bravas, the seared scallops, and all their jamons.

Go for a special occasion. Heck go for any occasion.“

“We had a great experience at JINYA Ramen Bar! Our server Belsy was incredibly attentive and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. The food was absolutely delicious, and we truly enjoyed our time there.

Before leaving, we ordered a matcha to go, and it was served beautifully and tasted amazing. Everything from the service to the food made our visit memorable. We’ll definitely be back! 🍜🍵✨“

“Lovely spot! Went there for brunch and sat in the sunny window. Steak and eggs was good and fairly priced, as was the coffee. Loved the chillwave/vaporwave playlist on the stereo. Staff were super nice. Totally slept on this place until now, but will be back soon!“

“The drinks are really good. The Sage Advice was one of the best adult drinks I've had at a bar, and the food was all good. Instead of mains, my wife and I split three starters-- the meatballs were quite good, just enough sauce, with a rough bread; the pretzel bites were warm and had a wonderful buffalo dipping sauce; and the charcuterie board was appreciated by both of us despite our differing opinions on what makes a good board. The waiter was a bit hesitant on knowing what the bar could do, but they were able to make a good Paper Plane and Bloody Mary when asked. It was all about $120, which is average for hotel bars in this part of town. We had to wait for our final bill just a bit due to volume on a Sunday night with a big convention there, so not suprising. I'd go back happily.“

“The Brig is a fantastic bar! It's both family- and dog-friendly, offering a great and authentic Biergarten atmosphere. The staff is super friendly. If you're looking to watch a soccer match, The Brig is my absolute favorite destination in the DMV area.“
