We had an early dinner before attending a performance at the Ford’s Theater. We made reservations through Open Table and were immediately seated upon arrival. The service was great. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. I truly enjoyed myself in there. My server Larissa was very attentive. I even stopped on the way out to compliment the manager on the food, atmosphere, and service.

Oyamel offers amazing food and excellent happy hour deals, including Ceviche. The house made salsa is incredible, described as the BEST SALSA ever—smoky with a slight burn. Tacos are a bit pricey but the meats are excellent. The atmosphere is lively; some find it loud, making conversation difficult, while others note it is not too loud or boisterous. Service is good, with standout staff like a stellar bartender who offers warmth and attentiveness, along with helpful recommendations from waiters. One guest enjoyed a great experience after asking for a moderate spice level, with the chef and server making it delicious. Overall, the food is absolutely delicious, though spicy dishes can be intense.
