“We had an early dinner before attending a performance at the Ford’s Theater. We made reservations through Open Table and were immediately seated upon arrival. The service was great. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. Dessert, Cafe de Olla, was phenomenal. Pics are only some of the items we tried. Great atmosphere for date night and a milestone birthday celebration. Highly recommend.“

We opted for the Un Poco de Todo, a selection of the restaurant’s most popular bites. To our surprise, the portions were incredibly generous and the prices were incredibly reasonable. It's a hidden gem with delicious and healthy food with all vegetarian choices. The service was fast and friendly, the protein choices a little broader than other burrito places and i love the way they wrap it in foil (very consistent; looks a little like a tamale). The atmosphere is sort of “vanilla” but it was clean, functional and well appointed. Definitely worth the trip.

“The food was good quality, and on par with Mexican restaurants in the district. For some reason, restaurants in the DMV always make a good branzino, and Muchas Gracias is no exception. Although I didn’t try the tres leches, it looked absolutely amazing. The hole in the wall, narrow cantina atmosphere was really cool, and created a really interesting place to eat a meal. I had the fajitas (giving them a fair 7.5/10).

The best part of the dining experience was the service. Very, very attentive and understanding to our table, checking if the food was alright or if we needed any drinks, regularly coming to refill water. We did not feel forgotten.“

Whatever mama marinates that steak in I end up having it 2-3 times a week. The micheladas are delicious too. Stop by this no frills venue from the 80’s for some laughs with the locals and industry folk who end their night here post shift. Love Judy’s and the staff.“
