“Delicious neighborhood place serving Guatemalan food and some Mexican inspired dishes. The service is friendly. The food is dependable and always delicious. They make the chips for guacamole or salsa and chips to order. Entrees come with traditional warm Guatemalan tortillas which are thicker than Mexican tortillas. I use them to pick up the delightful sauces.“

“Very cute and clean out of the way Salvadoran restaurant. Worth a stop if you’re in the area! Had a great weekend lunch, tried the papusas (get the revueltas!) and tacos, as well as a couple different margaritas. Very reasonably priced and really delicious.

“The 12-course prix-fixe made for a memorable special occasion meal. At $135 pp, quite a splurge, but can imagine the 6-course version is also quite satisfying. Each dish was presented in an interesting way -- with coins and currency, art by Colombian painter Botero, on stones and cactus slices, paper, etc. Even the check returned inside a book. Each was so tasty we couldn't pick a favorite. Staff was intimate and friendly, explaining every dish, without being intrusive. Aficionados might appreciate the extensive and varied wine list (also not cheap), though we were no experts. Also close to Metro (8-min. walk), which we always appreciate. And classics like the empanadas are a great comfort food as well, paired with a tasty chimichurri sauce, and other fantastic sides with different levels of spice. 😙👌“

“Great atmosphere with elegant decor. Went for Valentine's Day, so our experience may just be due to them being busy. We were seated late, and the waiter was rushing. Our reservation was for 10:45 PM, so I assume they just wanted to close. Other than that we had the Tapas menu, which offered some really good options. We enjoyed the garlic shrimp, lamb meatballs, potatoes, and snapper the most. The star of the night, hands down, was the Churro dessert. To our surprise this was not your traditional churro. A churro in the shape of a hollow cupcake filled with ice cream and escorted by a side of warm chocolate for you to drizzle. CHEF'S KISS! Overall, a good experience that could have been great if the service was better, but I will attribute that to it being a very busy night.“

“Great spot to play pool! They have two beautiful 7ft diamond tables and great food. The owner is super nice and also a good pool player I’ve heard.

“The vibe is good. The service was very very slow. They kept forgetting to put things in. Not sure if they were short staffed. Don’t waste your time with the chips and dips. They tasted like store bought guacamole and salsa and cheap dollar store bag chips. But other wise the Citron sampler was amazing! We only one drink because again the service was slow. But overall I would try this place again because of the vibe and music.“

“Just went in to check out the food, and ended up ordering the chef's bowl (lettuce, rice, chaufa, pico, potato, guacamole and brisket. It was tasty. The brisket was tender and had some flavor. The potato could use a hint of salt, but overall, it was good. We also tried the shrimp empanadas, they were nicely fried, creamy on the inside, overall pretty good. The yuca fries were nicely fried, but had no seasoning.
They're very light with the seasoning, but I'd come back to try more of the menu.“

“First time customer, hope to come back. I came for pupusas but want to try more. My favorite revueltas I've had in the city. Tried loroco because I learned about it recently. Not my favorite but still super good. Casual, low stress. I could've gotten by with ordering in Spanish but the staff speaks English and we stuck with that. “A very nice place like you have no idea with three floors I mean, three levels, great food, Upstanding clean, nice tables to eat, of course pool table, I amazing LED lights all the way around…. You have to stop by and check it out…. I know the owner for a few years. He’s such a good guy Mr. Raul Lopez.

“I went to Toscana Market for the cooking class on September 27, 2025. The chef running the session was kind, personable, and patient, and the food was DELICIOUS. Tickets were on the pricey side, but considering both the quality and quantity of food that we got, not to mention the complimentary Limoncello and wine, they were well worth it. Seriously — we ate a lot while we were there and still brought home enough leftovers to feed us over the next few days.

I got the tickets as a birthday present for my partner's birthday and 100 percent recommend it either as a date or as a bonding activity. The staff made it a wonderful experience, and I look forward to coming back!“

“Okay, let me tell you about Gloria's Restaurant! I had the Chicken Quesadilla and Horchata, and seriously, it was amazing. Like, every bite was just right. I know it's a little pricier, but trust me, you won't regret it. The service was super fast, and everyone was so nice. If you want a delicious Hispanic meal in DC, go to Gloria's!

“This is a neighborhood restaurant on Georgia Avenue, suitable for family and friend mesls, lunch or dinner. The menu is excellent and the plate presentations are beautiful. Big screen TV's are strategically placed in all directions, should you be a sports afficiando. In the evening the second floor becomes place latinx music. There is a bar and restrooms. The basement sports billards, food and music. The service is warm and friendly. It is not yet total ADA disability friendly to wheelchairs. The new ownership indicates possibly to make those improvements in the future. Until then, carryout is still very good.“

“Super traditional restaurant. Pupusas are out of control! My favorite is chicharron con queso (pork with cheese), but with frijoles (beans) is great too. Soap de res is definitely recommended. All in all, great lunch place with very reasonable prices - $13 per dish.“
