Gypsy Kitchen DC Reviews
The service and atmosphere was great. We also enjoyed the cocktails. The charcuterie board not so much. The olive is nothing like Zeytoon parvardeh (it’s just Kalamata olives), and we didn’t like any of the cheese or cured meats. We tried the halloumi (fantastic), mushroom toats (good), beef kebab (good), duck (great), and potatoes (delicious). There was also a complimentary dessert for our birthday celebration which was very nice.
The Manzanita cocktail I had was amazing and bar seating was easy to get and very comfortable with hooks for bags. I was a little disappointed with the halloumi, it was deep fried with breading the was pretty heavy and greasy. Maybe some pomegranate or other fruit reduction would cut the grease a bit more satisfyingly. ? mussels with sourdough were great, if a liiiiitle salty.

See the pictures and you be the judge, underwhelming food for the price and for the places reputation with that being said we would...read full review
