I’ve been wanting to visit this restaurant since I moved to DC, and we finally went for brunch. LOVED the ambiance and that was the main star of the visit, service was on point, the food not so much.I got the Salmon Cavlax, my partner got French toast and our friend got the chicken sandwich, I’d say all of us were disappointed in what we got. See the pictures and you be the judge, underwhelming food for the price and for the places reputation with that being said we would give them a second chance for a different menu and see if the experience changes.

Unfortunate that the food and service didn't compare to the ambiance. Ambience 4-5 stars. Food and service were a strict 2 stars. Waited an eternity for food to come out including a cheese board and oysters (no steaks ordered). Server was friendly but uncomfortably timid. Cocktail and mocktails - could have gone without. Don't have any particular dishes to recommend. The jam that came with the cheese board was the only thing worth asking for more of. If anything, avoid ordering the mussels as to avoid staying there all night. I would recommend going in for the ambiance at the bar but not much else. Was excited to try this place but disappointed at the end of the night. Would not take a first date here but could make for a start-of-the-night cocktail. For perspective, we had a reservation for 2 on a Thursday night at 7:30pm. Sky deck seating available but we sat inside.

The service and atmosphere was great. We also enjoyed the cocktails. The charcuterie board not so much. The olive is nothing like Zeytoon parvardeh (it’s just Kalamata olives), and we didn’t like any of the cheese or cured meats. We tried the halloumi (fantastic), mushroom toats (good), beef kebab (good), duck (great), and potatoes (delicious). There was also a complimentary dessert for our birthday celebration which was very nice.

The Manzanita cocktail I had was amazing and bar seating was easy to get and very comfortable with hooks for bags. I was a little disappointed with the halloumi, it was deep fried with breading the was pretty heavy and greasy. Maybe some pomegranate or other fruit reduction would cut the grease a bit more satisfyingly. ? mussels with sourdough were great, if a liiiiitle salty.
