“This is such a great addition to our neighborhood. I went on a Friday evening and had fantastic service, delicious food, and, a really warm and welcoming environment. My only critique was that the music was a little loud for easy conversation. I have been to the location closer to downtown and I prefer this new one at the Parks at Walter Reed. If you have not yet been, you must try this fantastic place!“
“Had dinner before the Oh He Dead concert on Saturday December 17, 2022. We arrived a little before our seating and immediately were greeted and taken to our spots. Ian was outstanding! He was attentive, descriptive and helped create a good experience. Dan, our bartender, was magnificent. He created delectable cocktails and we also chatted along the way (we had bar seats which I highly recommend). This was very reasonably priced, we left very filled and happy. I want to give the highest possible compliments to Ian and Dan. The entire experience was perfect, largely because of the great food, but they took the experience well beyond a 1 star evening!“
“Quite possibly the best dining experience we’ve ever had in DC. My girlfriend and I went for our 3 year anniversary and it was the most incredible celebration! We were seated at the garden bar, and were fortunate enough to have Kae as our bartender/server. They absolutely spoiled us for our special occasion, from a celebratory glass of champagne to an extra dessert, we were truly wined and dined! I highly recommend coming to rose’s for your next special occasion!“
“I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in. The staff was warm and inviting, and so was the decor and fragrances. I detected a hint of incense and palo santo. I recommend the hearts of palm salad, the Causa, and scallops to warm up. The fish was superbly executed, but the name of the fish escapes me. We had ours served cold (dry aged?) with the Rocoto sauce which was mild yet fantastic. The pisco sour coctail enhanced the flavors for me. My overall impression was that all flavors are somewhat mild but not boring, everything tastes super fresh; and like one at our table mentioned, you can almost taste every single ingredient but in a good way.“
“Don’t let Atxondo’s modest looks deceive you. I was skeptical but some friends wanted to try this place so I went along. I was very pleasantly surprised. We ate vegetarian and everything was excellent. I can recommend the brussel sprouts, tortilla española, crispy potatoes, coliflor, golden beets, fried shishitos, and risotto. I almost forgot to mention the interesting drink menu and the best flan I’ve ever had. Service was great too. Go with a group so you can try everything!“
“Bottom line up front, Cranes is a MUST for DC’s Winter Restaurant Week! From the hostess's accommodation of our late arrival, friendly greeting, and front door coat check to our waiter’s, Elmer, and wait staff’s attentive service throughout our visit, Cranes was superb! The Faux-jito, Squash Hummus, Ramen, and Iberico Pork Fried Rice were fantastic! When there was a problem with our bill, it was quickly resolved. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!!!“
“They could use another pair of hands to help turn tables during the dinner rush, but the food exceeded expectations. The Veggie Samosas were really well seasoned and had a nice slight kick. The chicken shawarma was also perfectly seasoned and cooked. I'm really excited to have found this new go to spot!“
“The Fountain Inn is beautifully designed, cocktail lounge, whiskey and craft drinks bar in the upper Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC. We came in a group of four and really enjoyed the unique setting, classic decor, their absolute dedication to the bar craft, amazing selection of unusual whiskey and gin, innovative drinks and very knowledgeable service. The Fountain Inn felt perfect for a late night drink, or a before dinner hop-in. The Fountain Inn is a very small and beautiful place with a speakeasy vibe, you definitely need a reservation here. It could get loud due to it's small size.Service was very helpful and steered each of us toward perfect drink and booze choices! The Fountain Inn is absolutely perfect for trying something new, exploring new brands or flavors of your favorite liquor. “I found this place through facebook advertising free wine tasting. First time i tried Armenian food! I arrived early and found a table. While i waited, i ordered sujuk pie (like a stuffed meat patty) and a hot chocolate. Both were very tasty. I sample 3 wines and bought a glass of the white. I will definitely return.“
“Went for my daughter's birthday.Food was above average, the star i took away was due to kebab being burnt from one side ,but the rest tasted great .The ribs, adana and everything we ordered tasted like authentic turkish food. There was one man on the floor who was running like a headless chicken but was serving 6 tables. The place was jam packed and a bit noisy for us, therefore, took a star away. The manager was great because he catered my request.Overall a good experience.RecommenedParking: Parking lot right next to the restaurant. We paid $13 for 2 hours on Saturday. It was not charging hourly but for just parking so flat rate“
“Jack Rose is primarily a whiskey bar. Most people come here because they either are genuinely a high-end whiskey conisseur with money to blow, or they want other people to think they're a high-end whiskey conisseur with money to blow.Aside from that, the fried chicken skins are one of my favorite guilty pleasures and the only reason I ever come here. All of the food is good, but it is also overpriced. Attached pictures show the scallops entree (3 scallops on grits), roasted olives and chicken skins. While there is nothing offensive or inappropriate here, it would be in very poor taste to bring children.Kid-friendliness: I don't know what the place's policy is about kids, but it's certainly not intended to seat or serve children.“
“Our first visit to Jaleo lived up to every expectation we had. We splurged on the Experience tasting menu with wine pairings and were delighted with every dish. It was almost too much, but we polished off the dessert course anyway.Great food and wine, wonderful ambience, exceptional values throughout the menu, and top-notch hospitality -especially our server, Gloria, who made really helpful suggestions but also made us feel completely at home. She was a standout of an already amazing experience!“
“The clams were amazing! All of the food is super fresh and delicious! The atmosphere is amazing and the dancing is incredible! The service is great and everyone is so nice! Definitely recommend, the food is very authentic and is to die for!“
“Enjoyed sharing many of the tapas style items on the menu with our team after a long day on the convention floor. The Duck was so good I'm still thinking about it two days later. The baklava and ice cream skillet that finished our meal was the best tasting version I've ever had.“
“The Girls were very thick, I blew all my rent money on them and didn’t even get a private dance ?? I have been living in the dumpster behind this place and it is a D1 dumpster, I did get into a fight with a homeless man also, and one of the bouncers fought the Rabid HObo and I am free now, The Vietnamese are looking for me also because I set off one of their traps. And the same bouncer fought The Vietnamese with me??“
“Food was delicious. Bf got the taco with grasshoppers and they were quite tasty. I got their mojito dorado and could've bathed in it with how good it was. Our server checked on us just the right amount and made sure everything was satisfactory. The picture of Anthony Bourdain did almost bring a tear to my eye. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area looking for a good bite and a drink to wash it down with. Will be looking to eat here again the next time I'm in DC!“
“I had the experience with Brunch, where I was able to try a little of everything.Cassava is delicious and makes you miss Brazil; the Beans disappointed me a little; the banana dessert is delicious and the rest of the dish is normal. The service is good and I was served in Portuguese.“
“This place was an absolute delight. The ambiance was sexy as was the food. I am so happy my table ordered the inquisitive. It was a wonderful array of food, perfectly portioned and flavorful. The mock tail menu was a pleasant surprise. The customer service personable and professional.“
“My girlfriend and I came in for Valentine's Day last night, sat at the bar, and were served by Kristen (apologies if I'm misspelling), who made sure we were taken care of, happy, and with FANTASTIC recs/cocktails/vibes. Killed it! Immaculate dinner, drinks and service from the team as well - the hosts were super friendly and understanding even as we showed up about 10 minutes late on a busy night for them. Medium-dark lighting and a very chill/calm atmosphere really made for a nice, intimate night. The Valentine's menu is a bit different than the normal a la carte menu, which is all the more reason to come back. We had the tortelli stuffed pasta, olive-braised lamb, roasted squash, tuna crudo, olive oil cake, and lemon semifreddo - not ONE miss all night. If you listen to nothing else in this review, get a garlic knot with your meal! In terms of cocktails, the "Brooklyn" and "Jalisco Ski Chalet" were AMAZING, but we really want to try the wine selection next time.Reveler's is a MUST TRY in DC!“
“I can’t recommend this place enough. The food and drinks are exceptional, but the service is what made it. There was a man harassing and trying to take pictures of a member of our party, and when the situation became clear the manager and staff took action and had the man removed. They then took special care to ensure we had a great rest of our night. I can’t say enough about the wonderful manager who took care of us!! Thank you.“
“Guys - if you like cider even a little bit, you have to come here. The cider is dry, flavorful, and delicious (without random sugar added). The atmosphere is hip, the lights are ambient, and Liz is (out of this world) attentive to all your food and beverage needs. COME GET ANXO! PS - you can bring your friendly dogs too.“
“Unfortunately this used to be a good restaurant but it has gone totally downhill. After telling the waiter three times I would like my steak medium and my partner steak medium rare they couldn’t get that right and when we advise them of their mistake the waiter and the manager both laughed and said o well sorry. I’m not the only one I had a friend that ate here a few weeks ago and told me it went downhill also. So they gave us a $10 discount on a $200 bill“
“Serving both French and Japanese cuisine, appreciated that they have classics that aren't muddied with poor fusions. Classic Nigiri are featured, and our chicken and Seabass were both great, with the Sweet potato and Articoke puree on the respective dishes being the highlight.Conveniently located within the Hyatt hotel and quality enough to visit even if not staying there.“
“I would have never known about this place if I hadn't gone to lincolns cottage (which is right across the street)The happy hour menu is LONG and will get you right!!!I had the crabcakes with a side of fries and 2 glasses of cava. My friend had the lamb chops and a side of friesThose lamb chops looked soooo Delectable. Goodness I wish I had asked for a bite. But that just means that I have to go back!“
“Nicole my waitress was absolutely amazing! I'd come back to this establishment just based on her customer service skills. She was truly top notch when explaining the menu, recommending amazing tapas, constantly checked on me to make sure I'm have a good experience, and all around a wonderful person with a beautiful smile! Thank you so much Nicole for making my first experience at this restaurant not be my last! Truly can't wait to come back. Basque Salad 10/10 Croquetas de Setas 10/10 Pan Con Tomate 7/10 10 oz Grilled Sirloin 10/10 Grilled octopus 10/10“
“We had a great experience here. The complimentary bread was delicious. I got the pappardelle with Wild mushrooms and it was packed with umami flavor and the butter sauce was very unctuous. My wife got the gnocchi and she love it, the sauce had a lot of flavor. The service here was exceptional as well. We would definitely go back.“
“The staff was nice, I saw a photo online that was on their site because pink is my favorite color. Even though they didn't know what it was. They did their best to duplicate it. The drink was good and got me right. I'll be back soon. Thank you staff.“
“This is a lovely newer, small, family-run Spanish & Mexican restaurant in downtown Silver Spring (directly across from AFI & very near Filmore & Regal Cinema). The cocktail & wine list is small but well chosen with plenty of tequilas/mezcals & even portos. Small tapas & starters cover Spanish favorites such as Pan a la Catalan (delicious), boquerias, albondigas (in green tomatillo sauce!), shrimp, & croquetas, with some creative takes on Spanish classics. Also tapas & dishes covering ceviche, cured meats, even paella. Daily specials included a delicious seafood soup (app or side, not a main). Also Mexican faves such as guacamole, tacos, fajitas & qeusadillas, etc. Will need several visits to explore the menu! Friendly & excellent service. Highly recommend!“
“This is a nice evening option while staying at the JW. While here for a few days, we tried the Tea & Biscuits and the PB&J desert, both were tasty and got the job done after a long day. Cocktails, are offered in an elevated variety and if you're a top shelf enjoyer you're all set. It's easy to find a table or a spot at the bar, and offers a comfortable blend of cozy, but easy going (without seeming boring). This hotel, and bar do however need a design update as the aesthetic is aging. Customer Experience is where the big win is though; our mixologist Fitsum offered us not just a warm and friendly environment, but also made us feel at home in a way not often seen. It's not every day you meet someone at a hotel or bar that remembers you, or is genuinely interested in making sure you're happy. Kudos to Fistum, the hotel should take note, and promote her to manage hotel experience!“
“My husband, myself, and our three sons dined here last night. It was a such a wonderful and unique experience from start to finish. We had the pasta paella, the oxtail croquettas, the pork belly bao, the ceviche for dinner. For dessert we had the jelly like pie, the cafecito, and the chocolate and mango/passion fruit ice creams. The music and atmosphere were so dreamy. The decor was so beautifully interlaced together with tropical plants and midcentury modern furniture and fixtures. We will be back on our next trip to the DC area.“
“Flora Flora's Sunday brunch was all that a classy and elegant brunch should be! We arrived about 15 minutes early and were graciously received in the lobby, escorted to the 2nd floor restaurant, and promptly seated in the very comfortable bar area to wait. Our wait was VERY short -- and within minutes, we were seated at very nice tables overlooking the harbor. The view is amazing! The service was flawless (thanks Steven!). The menu choices were diverse and interesting, and each order was quickly delivered to our tables with no mistakes or "oops!" Most of our party of 9 opted for the Sangria Sin Fin, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the endless sangria and mimosas. The food was totally delicious and servings were "just right" (not too big, not too small). The restaurant is intimate, quiet, bright, airy, cheerful, and we highly appreciated the lack of LOUD MUSIC that seems to be the default standard in many eateries. The reservation process was painless, and Johvannie (sp?) provided immediate and personal feedback on a change to the number in our party. All in all, Flora Flora is a winner and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a chic & stylish brunch option with excellent service!“
“Excellent, attentive, and friendly service! Food was very good but a little oily for many dishes I tried. Their tables are way too small for tapas, as of course you order multiple dishes. We were completely out of space to put the food. I also dislike when restaurants have all high top tables with high stools - not comfy to balance on, especially if you're not a small person.“
“Came to their brunch with my family, the service was amazing. We did not have to wait for our reservation, our food came out quickly and on time. The staff had a great teamwork atmosphere and worked together and it flowed well. The food tasted great and portioned well!. Shout out to our waitress Mariama who made sure we were taken care of and was very sweet and personable. I will be coming back!! :)“
“We really enjoyed our visit. Hoshi (sp?) was our server and he was awesome. Knowledgeable, very personable and accommodating...he made our visit. He was actually the reason we chose to dine here. We were looking at the outside menu when he came out the door to service a sidewalk table and asked if we were going in as he held the door for us. When we said we were undecided, he said we should because it was the best food in Georgetown and that he had a great table for us right in the window. We all agreed that we should. The food was good. My steak, which I ordered medium rare came out medium well, but it tasted so good that I told Hoshi I would eat it anyway. I had the hibiscus margarita, which was amazing and was even topped with a hibiscus flower which was edible.“
“I’ve been wanting to go to Cork for years, and never made it in, so I finally made a reservation for a Friday night and I’m so glad that I did. At first I didn’t even know there was an upstairs section, but we were seated upstairs and it was a very nice atmosphere. Cozy and comfortable and and excellent place to enjoy a glass of wine or have a meal. Our server was very welcoming and clearly knew his stuff. We know a little about wine but not enough to be successful, so we really appreciated the recommendations. I think we could have used a bit more attention during the night but our server was also tending to the bar patrons, so this was neither here nor there. While we did not have dinner the menu, though focused, looked excellent. My one negative comment would be related to the vintners plate (read charcuterie board) which while $24, had nearly nothing on it. However this seems to be the norm in DC these days unfortunately. Overall I would say a very nice experience and definitely would be a repeat visitor.“
“If you're looking for a fun dinner spot with great shareable plates- Barcelona wine bar is your place! I came here with coworkers on a busy Friday night and the energy was amazing. We had reservations for 7:45 but when we showed up our table wasn't ready and they told us to wait for a call & didn't mention an estimate on how long it would take. Lucky within 20-30 mins we got the call and were seated. We ordered a ton of plates- the patatas bravas, the garlic shrimp, seafood paella, and grilled octopus to name a few. Everything was delicious and meant to be shared, the paella was a little salty for my preference though! The cocktails were fabulous, the one with chamomile infused vodka is a must have! If you're looking for a late dinner place to grab drinks and food before hitting the bars or speakeasy's in the area- this is your place!“
“Absolutely amazing dinner at El Techno for my birthday. Vibes were immaculate, birria ramen bomb was in the top 5 things I've ever eaten. Staff were friendly and helpful, but didn't hover, absolutely perfect. Margaritas were delicious. The owner, Louie, came by and introduced himself and made sure everything was great. Honestly couldn't ask for a better dinner for the price.“
“Came to this place with my boyfriend we got 3 shots , 2 orders of wings (can’t remember how many but it was either a 12-20 piece) and some stuffed jalapeños or something my boyfriend got anyway we ended up spending 100.00 which i didn’t care because the food was AMAZING! The wings was good af and the 1942 made it even better. I’m coming here from now on. Great vibe and yes it’s a little expensive maybe to some but there is plenty of places that’s cheaper. This right here has GREAT customer service which is the MAIN reason i want to return. The waiter with the glasses was GREAT as well. Give that man a raise.“
“Scallops… were just WOW! Shrimp with Garlic was Spicy and perfectly cooked! Everything was hot, fresh and very, very tasty. Have a Riviera Mojito or their Red Sangria… Everything was excellent and prices were very reasonable! We will Definitely be back!“
