About Miss Toya’s Creole House

Miss Toya’s Creole House in Silver Spring offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with Southern charm, making it a great place for special occasions or a relaxed evening out. Guests often enjoy the standout dishes such as the whole red snapper fish and loaded gumbo, which impress many visitors. Recent brunch-goers praised the shrimp and grits, calling them the best outside South Carolina, though the grits are not cheesy. Kids are happy with the wings, and even though Mac and cheese isn’t on the brunch menu, it can still be ordered. The staff, including helpful servers, strive to provide a pleasant experience whether during a business lunch or private event. Convenient parking nearby makes it easy for guests to relax and enjoy their meal. While prices are slightly high, the generous portions and quality food make it worthwhile. The restaurant mostly attracts adults looking to unwind but also welcomes families with children. Overall, Miss Toya’s Creole House exceeds expectations with its friendly atmosphere, delicious dishes, and attentive service, making it a place guests look forward to returning to. However, recent reviews mention issues such as unclean restrooms, service problems, and disappointing experiences, which have affected some guests’ visits.

The service was extremely slow and there was not that many people. The food has ZERO flavor which was so disappointing. I paid $150+ for 2 brunches, 1 glass of sweet tea, 1 jalapeño pineapple margarita. You pay a 20% service charge on top of all that. Save ya money and cook at home. We will not be back!

Be cautious about booking here. Even with a reservation, my friend and her family waited over an hour to be seated and was treated terribly by management. When they asked for a solution, the manager threatened to call the police instead of resolving the issue.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable. Poor customer service, I would not recommend.

Terrible service at Baltimore location. Do not recommend!
