“I’ve worked in restaurants my whole life, making and serving food (including burgers and fries). I just stopped by Joia last night, for the first time. I ordered a double patty. I have to say that it might have been the best burger I’ve ever tried. Nothing too fancy, just the perfect size and balance of ingredients. I didn’t intend to get any fries, but after ordering my burger, I asked the employee who was serving me if I could try one. It was so good, that I instantly asked to order some, only to find out that they had gone ahead and generously thrown in a batch on the house for me. I literally have never written a review in my life (google, yelp, otherwise) but I was so into it I thought I should share. Super friendly, low key atmosphere, fast, and delicious. “About a mile from the convention center walking, didn’t realize it was inside the WF. There’s seating available going up a few stairs after ordering/picking up. Ordered a cheeseburger and sweet potato fries - they were good but I may have over done it today. I got crazy and got BBQ sauce, tasty with a tad of spice. I enjoyed my meal and service was friendly. I respect the menu concept, do one thing, do it well. No options. I guess if you don’t want coke or water you don’t need to buy one. Servers were excellent and price wise, you aren’t getting much better for this area. My only issue was the space, it’s quite stark and basic. I think you can go ultra basic on the menu, but such a basic setting might be a step too far and it doesn’t need to be, because they have a great crew that could hold down a more personal atmosphere.“

“This is absolutely one of my favorite places to go! The Roost was my go to during the pandemic with tons of outdoor seating. Since it was in my neighborhood we frequented a lot. The staff watched my little one practically grow up there! It became our meeting place and neighborhood watering hole. Quick and efficient and some of the best food and customer service! We’ve moved from the area but always stop by when in town because it feels like home!“

About the size of my fist a bit bigger it was a large burger and definitely worth the money for the combo $19 to get the fries and drink included.

4/5 seasoned fries: good but not the star of the show it was crispy and seasoned well.

During lunch I wouldn’t go to this location unless you work in the plaza. Parking was hard to find and $15 for 1 hour if you use the plaza parking.“

“GREAT service, nice place. Food was real, real salty, though, and that's a bit of a shame. Had the crab dip appetizer, and they gave us so little bread to dip into it, we all ended up eating the dip as a soup of sorts with our forks so that we didn't waste it, even though it was tremendously SALTY. Like salt was almost the predominant flavor. I had the steak frites, and the supplied knife wasn't quite up to the task of cutting the meat, but it was very tasty along with a very garlicky herb butter. Wife got the chopped steak, and it was a lovely dish, piled high with all sorts of lovely gravy and mushrooms and too much to eat, but very . . . wait for it . . . SALTY. Daughter had the chicken pot pie. Loaded with chicken. Decent meal. Our server was tremendous and polite and one of the highlights of the evening. Kitchen staff may want to taste-test some things before sending them out the door. They might be surprised. We've been on vacation all week and eating out every night, and this was the saltiest meal of the week. We felt like we were still retaining water the next morning.“
