“Had the opportunity to experience this dining venue for a Sunday brunch, recommended by family member. The brunch menu at first was a little confusing as to what our quantity of options we were entitled to, once that was clarified enjoyed a delightful meal of fried chicken & waffles -brussel sprouts-deviled eggs -berry mixed topping pancakes -crab cakes and a mimosa. The only thing that wasn’t too pleasant was the waiter assigned to us -he didn’t seem very customer friendly-I don’t even think he introduced himself. However his slack was taken up by a wonderful young lady by the name of Allie -very friendly -took the time to explain the menu -when an ordering mistake had been made -corrected it and provided a alternative, she made the experience so much better -excellent customer service“
“Wow is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of this place. If you’re looking for hearty food with some very delicious coffee this is your place. Think of this place as your favorite breakfast fast breakfast place on steroids. The service is quick and friendly. The portions are more than enough and the food is unique. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.“
“Yes! I love the concept. I love how it’s a hand made patty and the burger was cooked perfectly. In addition, you have an option to add items to your burger if you do the build your burger option. You can also choose their preselected choices which look really good. I chose to add sautéed onions, bacon, and Italian sausage. I will say although the Italian sausage was good, I wouldn’t add it again; it didn’t hurt the burger overall. You choose your seasoning (I chose basic), sauce (house bbq), lettuce and tomato. I also ordered the seasoned fries (garlic parmesan). I was curious so I asked for the spicy ranch. It was pretty good.“
“Great food while in the DC area. Our server was new but the manager stepped in to help. I had the beet salad which was fresh tasting and well dressed. My friend had the catfish with grits and greens. Catfish was fried crispy. Will definitely visit again next time I am in town.“
“I got their exactly 950pm and the bartender and waitress were very friendly and nice , the kitchen was just about or closing but rather than say sorry it’s too late they checked with the kitchen and they made us the 3 best burgers and fries , it was all delicious . We got double burgers and fries and honestly the price to me like any other good burgers but these were better was reasonable, the quality was good . We’ll be back for sure , compliments to the chef .“
“Cracked Eggery in DC is a breakfast adventure. The team here is not just serving dishes; they are serving smiles, The spotless setting makes for a serene breakfast nook, perfect for savoring their inventive menu options. The menu, it's a treasure trove of innovative takes on breakfast classics, ensuring that both the adventurous foodie and the comfort-food seeker leave satisfied. For a morning meal that ticks all the boxes great service, cleanliness, creativity, and variety.“
“Since 2021, I've been a devoted patron of Swizzlers. I've introduced friends visiting from South Florida to this gem, and they were enamored with the food. During their stay, we frequented Swizzlers numerous times. Fast forward to today, and I still find myself drawn here daily, sometimes accompanied by my mom and other friends. The ambiance is electric, the staff incredibly welcoming, and the food downright delicious, especially when paired with a refreshing sweet tea. My frequent visits undoubtedly classify me as a regular; you'll likely spot me cruising around on my scooter. ?“
“I went there because no other restaurants around there had open seating and I didn't have reservations. I should have come here first because the food was great. The hostess set us up for a table for five right away, which suprised me because it was crowded. Our waitress was right on top of things and our food came quickly. I had the chicken parm sandwich and I loved it. The other in my group had burgers of different varieties. Everyone thought the food was delicious. The bar was good too. I'd definitely come back.“
“Killer veggie based food! We had the burger with cheez and mushroom bacon. Ready to go back and try them all! Also, probably the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had! Great texture and flavor. Totally recommended, but get extra sauce if you like condiments. We got two in pretty small containers. We should have asked.“
“I went there for taco's and I was not disappointed. ? well the portions were a bit snacky ??♂️ I'd have to buy 2 orders to make one meal. AT THE TACO PLACE idk about the other spots. that being said I will be going back. I'll just be making 3 orders instead of 1 I guess. ??♂️??“
“My favorite place in the broader neighborhood! The staff are friendly and attentive! The food is consistently good - everything on the menu is good, my favorites are the ribs platter, Gouda burger, steak and cheese, wings, blackened seared tuna app, and great fries too. I, and other friends, go out of our way for the hand-dipped chicken fingers (a staple pickup for take out since I live nearby). In addition to great selection of beers, they always have NA beer selections too, which I get when coming with the kids. They love the nachos, wings and kids menu.Kid-friendliness: Seating indoors is all high-tops, so low-tops are on covered patio. Good kids menu w/crayons. Never a problem with tables during non-peak hours, but if a big game or something, do the best you can.“
“We stumbled into this place after some other burger places were closed, and I'm glad we did! This was one of the best smash burgers i've had in a long time. I understand people saying the burgers are a bit pricey for the size, but to me the delicate nature of the sandwich combined with bold flavors really sealed the deal. I can't remember which one my wife got but we were both in heaven, and even after sharing the shockingly good garden salad, we didn't feel stuffed like we usually do when leaving burger places. Oh, and the Ghost Claw cocktail was delicious and refreshing. We'll absolutely swing back around to Ghostburger the next time we're in DC.“
“My friend and I came here after the zoo because it was conveniently located right across from the Asia trail. I ordered a Posh BLTA without the B and my boyfriend ordered Oeufs Norweigienne (sp?). I enjoyed my sandwich A LOT, however, my friend's had EGG ON TOP OF EGG. They had to have used like 6-7 eggs for that thing. It tasted delicious, but he felt sick afterward from having so many eggs. We were going to walk around the rest of the day and we didn't have a car, plus I don't like eggs, so unfortunately we had to waste the rest of his meal. The waiter was super weird about it and kept ignoring us, and I think he was upset that my friend didn't finish. It's not our fault, and it was yummy, but how can anyone finish that many eggs?! Lol! It would have gone bad if we took the rest with us.Anyway, the bill was a reasonable amount of money and it's a cute place. My Posh BLTA had delicious avocado and it tasted very fresh.“
“We just had the best pizza and experience. We were a large party and the service was fast and efficient. The food was delicious. We had a Detroit native in our group and it was approved! Debbie was a wonderful manager and so personable - she entertained our kids and was so sweet! We had the classic, big Ang and MVP and a yummy burger. We’ll definitely be back! Exceeded expectations!“
“I honestly didn't expect that much from HipCityVeg, since I've never had a great experience with vegan fast food. But, wow, I was soooo wrong. Everything we got was so tasty. I loved my crispy chicken sandwich! Our non-vegan friend even went with us and thoroughly enjoyed her meal! She was impressed by the chicken nuggets. I was also pleasantly surprised that the food was organic!“
“We went to the Mono (Georgetown) location and our burgers were excellent. The staff was friendly and the space was clean. There was outdoor seating enjoyed by many, but we chose to sit indoors and people-watch in the charming, bustling area on a Sunday afternoon. Great experience as out-of-towners!“
“The much-anticipated sister restaurant of Purple Patch opened just a few weeks ago and I'm already hooked! It's a lovely addition to the neighborhood, offering a simple menu with a lot of flavor. The wagyu burger is nicely balanced, and depending on your appetite you can get a single to a triple patty. The ube soft serve with coconut is such a hit and the flavors are perfect. It's been really busy for good reason, so you might have to wait in line especially on really nice days, but service is pretty fast and they also have an order online link. Enjoy the outdoor seating on a nice day! Indoor area is small but very pretty, and stools with counter-style tables lining the interior. Very kid friendly as well as they have a kids' menu,' tables, and neighborhood kids' art on the walls. You can also purchase a few Filipino snacks like v-cut chips and boy bawang (garlic corn nuts), and they also have some canned non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages available. With the addition of Joia Burger, the owner Patrice really shows how much she cares about the Mount Pleasant community and is invested in it. It's a great spot to swing by for a quick meal and friendly faces!“

“Really wish I could give this place a better rating! The people running the place were so nice and friendly — and it’s a great local establishment. Our rockfish sandwich was fine — but we had two catfish sandwiches, and the breading on both was just too salty. Maybe we got a bad batch, so I’m willing to give the place a second try!“
“Been to bubbies many times and it’s always so worth the trip! Really appreciate how often they send coupons, gives us the push to order and enjoy their food. We’ve also ordered it for delivery and never had any issues, it’s obviously no longer hot because of the distance but our order has always been correct! Highly recommend.“
“This burger hotspot with table service opens for lunch and then goes late, available for your late night out and about cravings. I went with the lucky burger - huge 2 patties covered in cheese and sauce. The ingredients - tomatoes, pickles, etc., were super fresh and so so good. We ordered some cajun fries for the table - it was huge, and awesome. The view here is great - wonderful to take in the wharf and do some people watching - really, who needs tv here!?!? Apparently, they also do drinks here as well, so big plus there. This was a great little adventure - highly recommend!“
“We always choose Johnny's All American to showcase a lively neighborhood bar to our clients. The decor, paying homage to the owner's grandfather's army service and community involvement, is truly impressive. Witnessing a person's legacy reflected in the intricate details on the walls and artwork adds a special touch to the overall experience. It's a unique and meaningful atmosphere that resonates with both history and community spirit.“
“With the Navy Yard HipCityVeg location closing, I was eager to find a replacement, which I (mostly) found with PLNT Burger.Located inside the Navy Yard Whole Foods, this little vegan burger/chicken shop is a must-try for vegan sandwich enthusiasts. The food tastes much better than it looks, I assure you.The vegan BBQ mushroom burger was delicious and was well-balanced between the sweet and savory BBQ sauce, umami grilled mushroom, faux meat layer and vegan cheese. The housemade strawberry lemonade was crisp and refreshing, and the home style fries were crunchy and well-seasoned.My only COMPLAINT was the utter lack of customer service. With no one else in line, the workers ignored my initial attempts to approach and order food. When someone finally decided to take my order, the woman behind the counter made no attempts to hide her annoyance, rushed my order, and had an attitude. Implementing friendlier customer service policies is the key to any future 5-star reviews.“
“On the Wharf strip bouncing from spot to spot, and we “luckily” we stumbled into Lucky Buns. Cool seashore themed decor, friendly staff, and upbeat music. Plus, the drinks strong and tasty. Definitely worth paying a visit even if it’s just to grab a drink, or two, or three ?“
“We've been here quite a few times! It's definitely a great spot. Love the vibe, drinks and food. And kid-friendly which is always a plus. Good food menu with many options. My husband leans towards the IPAs and I always go their seltzers! In-laws were visiting so we wanted to take them to one of our favorite spots! The pretzel is by far my favorite pretzel and THE best I've had so far! And the we also love the fried chicken thighs! Pair it up with one of their small salads (still a HUGE portion!) and you have a great meal!“
“Enjoyed coming here with my family. The young woman at the counter was so friendly. I told her I was hard of hearing and she was so patient with me. The young woman's name is Unique. She really cares. The food was good but the customer service was excellent. This was our first time in the DC area. We will definitely come back here on out next trip here.“
“I got takeout from The Big Board this evening. I was only in there for a minute and a half, but the guy behind the bar—whose name I failed to get—was strikingly kind. And to top it all of these are hands down the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. No bad news.“
“Good Stuff is one of the only reasons I drive into the city (about 90 mins from where I live without traffic). The service is always amazing and you can tell they have a standard for what they're giving you. We love the quality of the burgers and fries. And their choices for dipping sauces are RIDICULOUS! You have to leave room for a shake. The toasted marshmallow is live changing!“
“Wife & kids came here for a concert & loved every bit of the experience! From the food to the bands & the bartenders . I had to work and could not attend ? so I guess I missed out on a great night.Kid-friendliness: My kids loved this venue. Can't wait to come back again. There are lots of artifacts to keep the eyes busy.“
“*I was welcomed when I opened the door. The menu looks good. Eventhough the students are rude, service was smooth. There was a lunch special. The staff seems ro work well together. I did see a frequent buyer program. The root beer cant be bear. I will be back once a week at least.“
“When I was young, my grandparents used to bring home T-shirts from the different Hard Rock Cafe's that they traveled to. And when I had the rare opportunity to eat in one as a kid I thought it was the coolest. So when we were looking for a place to have lunch soon after we arrived in DC, we looked at the map and the Hard Rock Cafe was about to open. We quickly booked a table and walked right in. I am so happy to say that it did not disapoint and it was such fun to share this staple of my childhood with my own children. The food was really good, the milkshakes were tops, the service was good, it was all just right! So if you are looking for a good meal in a fun atmosphere and you too have fond memories of those classic Hard Rock t-shirts, then this is a great lunch spot for you!Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu and my kids loved every bite - chicken fingers and a cheese burger. And those milk shakes were great!“
“Every time I go here the food and service are great. Z Burger offers way more than just burgers, so I can switch up my meals depending on what I'm in the mood for. Also, they run promotions from time-to-time, which are great. Lastly, the portions are huge! So its good value for your hard-earned money.“
“Had great lunch at this place. First I saw the sign and wondered what "Chinese burger" was. But when I looked at photos on Yelp, I learned that this place has noodles and rice bowls and I decided to go. You can order at the counter or on the touch screen by yourself. I did the latter. Tbh the restaurant name is misleading, because they really don't have burgers. They only had a sandwich with pork. Majority of the items on the menu seemed to be noodle dishes. After scrolling menu pages many times, I ordered braised pork rice bowl and dumplings. Food took about 15 minutes. But then they gave me a sandwich although I ordered a rice bowl. So I had to wait a little more while eating dumplings. Dumplings were nice and juicy. Hot. The sauce that came with them was good. The rice bowl was Ah-mazing. I added free toppings: onion, green pepper and cilantro. The eggs were the best. I should have paid for extra eggs. The braised pork was so flavorful and juicy. A lot of rice. O recommended it for anyone who's very hungry. It's a smaller restaurant, and not suitable for groups of 5 and more, but it is perfect for solo diners and small groups. Will go back.“
“Indulgently delicious and affordable food offerings along with friendly efficient service. I've tried a couple of the Maryland locations and was very impressed so wanted to check out the new DC location; very comfortable and welcoming. They also offer 24/7 delivery and pickup. Highly recommend checking them out! Try the Old Town Dog!“
“A small but very loud ? Sportsbar with poor but good local food and drinks. Burgers, Tacos, fries ? and everything you need to have while looking a game on TV with friends. The prices are mostly ok.Wheelchair accessibility: Not really accessible with wheelchairs ♿“
“Delicious casual eats with a nice menu that everyone will be able to find something they want to try. It does get crowded on the weekend so use the Open table app to easily book a table. Make sure to try the Italian soda we did the blueberry / vanilla sans alcohol and it is the most delicious thing!“
“The steak and cheese egg rolls are 10,000 stars!!! They were the best part of my lunch, and so was the warm, soft bread. I ate outside on the patio and the restaurant is at 16th and K, and it was pretty loud outside. I highly suggest eating inside if you want a more quiet, peaceful meal, because that's a very busy intersection. Other than that, the service was superb!“
“Had high expectations for the chili dog but was disappointed by the bun as it is the kind you can easily get from grocery store. The hotdog tasted great while the chili was pretty spicy! Overall i felt that this didnt live up to the hype. I prefer Dirt Dog for the roll and the softness of the whole item. The winner was the banana pudding which was so creamy and yummy! It costs more than a hotdog bun though. The pricing is steep! A pity that the restroom doesn't seem to have a lock.“
“The food is always superb. Turkey burgers and chicken for those not in love with the classics. Even better than the food is the service. We have had a few hiccups with deliveries and each time the good stuff eatery on capital hill has done everything to make it right. They were the hero's making sure the milkshakes were just right on my son's birthday. If you are in the mood for a great burger and want a great team to make sure it's just how you like it- go to Good Stuff.“
“The truth is that it is a place with good food, soloq.deverian will improve customer service.Parking: The area is a little busy and the truth is that if you spend too much time in the restaurant you can get a surprise when you get to your vehicle, so if I maintain the food is very good so I'm not complaining.“
“Nice place with good food options including gluten free pizza. Detroit style with nice crunchy crust. Good service even held our left overs until after a nearby concert to pick up. Beer selection of non-ipas can use some work, something dark would be nice. Cocktail options were good.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free“
“Pros: went here for a birthday dinner/drinks and had an absolute wonderful time. The service was wonderful and we found a table quickly on Friday evening, and the place was super moody with the lights dim, but high enough that you could have have great conversation. The food selection was almost overwhelming, and everything we got from the nachos to the beef burrito to the amazing noodles were delicious. The two different types of margaritas looked good and tasted good too.Cons: no formal parking structure so you have to go on a search and destroy mission for a parking spot, which took a little bit because the streets are narrow and of course, there were lots of Ubers and things like that dropping and picking people up and car is trying to get through. But after a short walk with a few blocks, we found a spot. The nonalcoholic drink menu from the bar is definitely lacking. It's basically seltzer waters and no mock tails, but when I went up to the bar, I had more success and getting a ginger beer and I'm guessing they probably would've made a Mocktail to you just can't order it off the QR code menu.I'll definitely be coming back, it's a great spot where no reservations are needed and lots of food options are available for a smaller large party.“
“First dinner in Georgetown. The aromatics for the garlic fries were so strong, that every fry tasted like garlic. This is how all garlic fries should be made. The hoisin sauce in the Peking Duck slide is house made and tasted better than store bought. Delicious comfort food.“
“This is a really cool lowkey spot on the u street corridor. It's located downstairs which gives it a speakeasy kind of feel with brick walls, wooden decor, and a small bar surrounded by a few small tables and even a nice little fireplace towards the entrance. I came here for a friend's networking event but the staff was so friendly and accommodating to us, they helped with decorating, and even with such a large group they did a good job of handling the large volume of drink and food orders. They have a daily happy hour (even on weekends) from 4pm-8pm in which they feature $4 well drinks or shots, beers or margaritas for $6. In regards to food they provide $4 fries, wings and even some combo options like a classic burger or wings with a beer for $14. I decided on trying the burger combo (also comes with fries). The food came out fairly quick, the fries were solid and the burger exceeded my expectations given the price point but it was cooked well but not overdone and flavorful. All in all definitely recommend giving them a try whether it's for a small group meetup or a more intimate outing.“
“Wonderful experience at this establishment! The staff are professional, friendly and inviting. I’ve tried the entire menu at this point and everything is amazing. The crab cake is out of this world but the burgers are good too.Let’s support our black businesses.“
“Hard working staff, food is the highest quality, it's arguably the best Hamburger in D.C. for the price. I usually get a cheeseburger "All the way" and small fries. Hits the spot! The location is busy and they try to keep the Riff-Raff out best they can.“
“First experience. Went at night so the day was drawing to an end. That said, it felt dirtier than I would have expected. Not filthy, just unkempt.Food was amazing. The custard shake is really special. Drank it on my 1 mile walk back to the hotel in 41 degree weather and loved it.Looking forward to my next experience.“
“Stopped by the new New Jersey Avenue NW DC Z Burger. The chicken cheesesteak with "two" cheeses was excellent & generous. The onion rings were awesome there. Everything is fresh, and the staff is unusually friendly and helpful. I can also recommend their 75 flavors of milkshakes (I prefer strawberry). The store was spotless. Street parking was easy, but DC has parking meters not to be ignored.“
“The food was great , I was there on a Sunday afternoon, the place was so busy they only had two servers a male and female , they had no seating available,so I would recommend to make a reservation, I had an hamburger which was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.“
“Overall food was decent. Fries with chili and cheese were above average and milkshakes were excellent. Where it failed was the burgers. Probably one of the most average hamburgers I have ever had and I find it comparable to McDonald's. I didn't have it I was told their half smoke was delightful.I am giving it a 3 as it is apparently well-known but was fairly average in my perspective.I'm updating this to 4 stars because after our meal 90 year old owner, Virginia, took time to talk to us and tell us all about her and the restaurants history that is rich and pivotal in the black community of the area. Amazing conversation with her and if you can you should visit with her!“
