“On a recent work trip to DC we were looking for pre-event fuel. Smoothies are the perfect snack to leave you feeling full but with the pep in your step you need to host an event. We all opted for the Blue Mystique which has banana, spirulina, banana, pineapple and mango. I added protein to mine and it was tropical, refreshing and delicious. They offer toasts, bowls, juices, smoothies and coffee. This seems like a great grab and go healthy option if you're in the area, and there are quite a few of these around town. Parking is a bit tricky in this area but thankfully we were a group so we hopped out of the car to order with ease.“
“Met friends here for lunch. With 6 of us, we had to be creative for seating. Indoors works for parties of 2, and outside are three tables for 4 people. Staff was super helpful making accommodations for an allergy in our group and personally delivering our food which provided confidence. I got a GF Breakfast Wrap, which was delicious and filling. Tasted the broccoli soup - love that the broccoli was whole - and sampled a muffin and energy ball. Everything was delicious. My friend got the burger, and was a little disappointed at the small size. But otherwise everyone was very happy. Nice outdoor seating area, tucked in the alley so it's a bit quieter. Bathroom was clean, and filtered water available at a self serve area. I'd be here all the time if I was a local! Really appreciate vegan food made from scratch that is healthy and not greasy.“
“I was there today and the costumer service is great the people who works there are really friendly and nice.I’d order a mango slush and it was very refreshing and good.I definitely will come back thank you John and Mary for your service☺️“
“Delicious food and great service. Rosie went above and beyond to make my meal perfect. When I accidentally left something in there and walked out, she came out of the building and caught my attention down the block. You can tell she really cares about her customers. I will be back!“
“Finding Lulu’s was one of the best parts of our great vacation. Sakiynah and the nice gentleman at the door were incredibly hospitable, kind, and accommodating. The beverages, retail, and patio are A1. Everything is very clean. Definitely a little corner of heaven in DC. We can’t wait to visit Lulu’s the next time we’re in DC! Thank you Lulus!“
“I love this place is very friendly and. Clean the customers service is amazing the dessert is the best test and the flavor I lover everything this place I recommend everyone can came trying the delicious Sweet Lemon Cafe ❤️❤️❤️❤️“
“A small sandwich and smoothie shop that has fresh food and great values. My Classic BLT ($12.99) was huge and also had onions, cucumbers and lots of avocado. My Manapple Smoothie was nice and thick and refreshing. Located across the street from the Farragut West Metro.“
“I thought the food and generally the service was excellent, couple of things that I would have expected from a Michelin rated restaurant would be that they would have scraped off the table, remove the wine glass that you weren't using, and then turned over the table faster. Dirty plates stayed on the table for quite some time. Friendliness was never an issue but having over 60% empty tables at 6:30 on a Friday night seems a bit off. Recommend the Filet!“
“Claudia and her team over at the Logan store are amazing! My partner and I come here specifically to this one after we leave the gym because the folks are so personable and kind and they know what we before we even ask! They go above and beyond to make sure we have what we need to fuel back up after a hard workout session. It also is amazing to walk in and see tu familia and people that look like you. Thank you Claudia, yall are the best!“
“Whenever my significant other and I want to get acai bowls, we always find ourselves coming to this business. The first time I went here, I didn't know what to expect. I knew acai was good for you but I wasn't sure if it would taste good. I was pleasantly surprised. I have not had a bowl that I did not like. Even more so, I did not find out until recently that they had a skin care line. I absolutely adore skincare products so the fact they had specific items to help with skincare from the inside out got me ecstatic. The location is a small permanent stand in the union market area. There are a multitude of other businesses in the complex. It does tend to get a little crowded in the area during busy hours. If you are not a fan of crowds, I would highly suggest going during slow times and days because it can be very overwhelming. There is a decent amount of parking but because there are some many people that frequent the area, I personally do not feel there are enough spots. I know there is an underground parking garage but you will have to pay for that. That being said, I absolutely love everything about the food and the vibes and will find myself coming here for quite some time.“
“My girls and I had brunch there. We all enjoyed the food. The kimchi rice was absolutely delicious! The space is small but clean and comfortable. It is helpful to ask directions at the front desk since you take an elevator to get there. Totally worth your time.“
“I’ve been coming to the Union Market location for about a year mainly for breakfast most weekends and I keep returning. Why? Excellent food and drinks, strong coffee, outstanding service and a very nice ambiance. Luckily it’s across the street from my apartment building.Parking: There is a garage parking option a block away that is free for 3 hours, otherwise there's paid street parking available. Difficult to find street parking during busy times of the day. Easy in the mornings.Wheelchair accessibility: Street to restaurant access is easily accessible by wheelchairs with no steps involved. Front door is double wide; however, need to open manually. Staff will happily help open the doors.“
“Stumbled upon this place when trying to find some late lunch and was pleasantly surprised! We didn’t try the juices, but the tacos were so good and for pretty decent prices. It’s nice to sit outside when the weather is pleasant too. Will definitely be coming back!“
“A cozy little cafe that offers the perfect respite from the cold outside. The owner is incredibly kind and friendly, and the food is delicious! Wish I got to try more of the traditional Ethiopian selections on the menu, but all the more reason to go back ☺️“
“Delicious breakfast blt and pastries. Generously sized blt. Excellent, speedy service. Great atmosphere for a quick bite or to study. The sweeter, more elaborate coffee options and horchata looked very tempting. I'll have to try them next time.“
“Great healthy food here. The prices are a bit steep so it's more of a treat than a daily routine. The overnight oats were delicious, and the avocado toast was that plus a work of art! The dining area is bright and cheery, but you'll be just as happy taking an order to go.“
“The Mermaid Bowl was so refreshing - I definitely recommend it! South Block had a great selections of juices, smoothies, and bowls so it was hard to choose. My husband had the Cave Monkey smoothie and he absolutely loved it. Again, 10/10 - I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.“
“We were staying next door to the Flavor Garden and came in for breakfast on our first day in DC, the service was good, the good was so good. I keep thinking about the scrambled eggs! They tasted freshly scrambled and made out of real eggs, and seriously the best eggs I have had in my life! The french toast and bacon were also good but not as good as those eggs! We returned that evening for dinner and my husband and I both had the burgers. They were the best ever! Great flavor and texture and so savory. I also had one of the best margaritas I have ever had and all in all really good filling meals! I wish we got a chance to go again before we left DC. Believe me when I tell you go check them out!“
“I've been to this establishment a few times. They are always friendly. Any question I asked was answered. I ordered a Green Detox and a Caesar salad today. Was made prompt to order and very fresh and tasty. They are very welcoming and nice.Parking: Was able to park directly in front of the store.“
“I tried their (smoothie) sky shake and it was probably the best bubble tea flavor I’ve ever had. I was curious about the flavor since blue isn’t a common color for drinks and they described it as “blue matcha with coconut.” I personally don’t enjoy the flavor of coconut but this didn’t have a coconut flavor to it. It was subtly sweet and creamy. The tapioca pearls were not as dense as I would have liked them to be but that may just be my preference. The price was about $10 for a cup so it was a bit steep but it could be due to the location. Overall, I would suggest giving the sky shake a shot!“
“Every time I go here the food and service are great. Z Burger offers way more than just burgers, so I can switch up my meals depending on what I'm in the mood for. Also, they run promotions from time-to-time, which are great. Lastly, the portions are huge! So its good value for your hard-earned money.“
“Really tasty quesadillas and tacos! Sauces are also delish; nice heat on the hot sauce. A very, very nice server brought everything over and checked on us a few times. It’s nice to support a family owned business. We will definitely be back, and next time we’ll try the birria tacos!“
“I came here after an easy afternoon of work with a friend, and the coffee was lovely. The restaurant is a little cramped, but I chalk that up to it being a rainy day--it looked like a lovely outdoor space. The sandwiches are pretty pricey for what you get, but overall, it was a nice experience.“
“I ordered the special of honey harissa steak bowl! This was my first time coming to Taim, and I really enjoyed the service! The staff were incredibly friendly - much friendlier than I was expecting for ordering from kiosks. For that I'm giving them 4 stars :). As for the food, I ordered a takeaway after joining their membership rewards for 50% off, and I wasn't blown away, but it was decent mediterranean food. Definitely comparable to other mediterranean chains like cava. One thing that really disappointed me was the rice. I think they had given me the bottom of the rice cooker because it was crunchy and dehydrated ):. The honey steak though was really good. Will I go back? Maybe if I'm in the area, but not a place I'm dying to return to. Seriously though, their smiles brought a smile to my face!!“
“I've been a long time customer of Turning Natural and highly recommended their juices, smoothies and cleanses. My favorite smoothie is their Happy Hemp that comes with mango, pineapple, spinach, spirulina and hemp protein. So yummy! The black bean burger and spinach patty are pretty good too. They now even have açaí and pitaya bowls that I'm excited to try. They're also black owned and have locations throughout the DMV. You really can't go wrong!“
“I was in town from Tampa Florida and found Share tea across the street from my hotel. I went twice in the same day I loved it so much.!!! I am still thinking about the tea I had..:not sure if I will be able to find a place here in Tampa as good as ShareTea … The girl was also so helpful that was working there to explain the different teas that I could have.“
“We were starving after the ill-fated attempt to Beat the Bomb (See review). Too tired to walk the mile or more for full restaurant fare that didn't require reservations, all the places nearby were just bar food. And though i don't mind bar food...we wanted something else Honestly: didn't even know MoMs had eat-in-store options. I'd only been to the one in White Marsh, and it doesn't Cutting through the store headed to the elevator to the parking garage, we saw "this": the Naked Lunch And thought. Hmmm. Quick. Healthy. Non-bar. Why not? All vegetarian, vegan, lots of raw, veggies, and legumes, grains, and fruit and vegetable juices! Sooo glad we did! 2/4 of us frequent the establishment so we followed their lead I got the moolah bowl and a friend got a juice made of all kinds of fresh stuff. She said it was THE best fresh juices juice she'd ever had. Unfortunately they were out of both avocado and mushrooms, so I subbed brown rice and black beans. LOVED IT They roast the veggies, and just totally mix the greens and toppings n veggies altogether and dump it in a brown box! DELISH AND HUMONGOUS. I literally am on my 3rd meal of it, today! I'm gonna write to the moms in white marsh and ask why "we" don't have the ear in option? Staff: two VERY hard working folk going at it, being patient with us first timers and totally apologetic about the items they were out of (as though it were their fault). A short line started to form behind us and a lady appeared from the rear to help them out. Good to see an establishment recognize a need to come to the aid of other workers to ensure customer satisfaction“
“Stopped in for a quick and lite lunch around 1 p.m. and had next to no wait. I ordered the Fig & Prosciutto toast as well as the Tropi-Kale smoothie. The smoothie was excellent, and the large size is a great value over the medium - $9.99 for a smoothie, but that is in line with Tropical Smoothie and other places that offer similar products. The toast was fairly disappointing though, for $9.49 the piece of toast was much smaller than anticipated. I believe it was sourdough but the size of the toast was maybe 1/3 smaller than anticipated and for the price I would have opted for another menu item. As far as taste goes, the prosciutto was decent but the fig jam was disappointing. I will be back for the smoothie but I will avoid toast items in the future.“
“Downtown DC needed a great juice bar for a long time, and it finally has one. This gem is great. The staff is super friendly, and my order came out quickly. Lots of variations to choose from. This is definitely my afternoon go-to spot in downtown DC.“
“This place made me want to become a smoothie girl. So incredibly tasty, great healthy options without sugar... and incredibly clean. If you need a quick pick me up after shopping here in the outdoor markets during the weekend or after studying long hours, come here for a locally owned drink.“
“One tip! This place is underground down a set of stairs! Other than that it is simple to find! Their atmosphere is super friendly they have sitting tables Japanese style and a grass wall. Their boba drinks are really good! They are on the sweeter side and a good size!“
“As soon as you open the door the delightful smell of fresh cooked hot foods and tasty treats will grab you. Everything is made fresh on the premises, and it is as visually inviting as it is stimulating to your senses. From delicious samples to the wonderful employees, this place is truly exceptional. They have an excellent chicken sandwich. Highly recommend this restaurant.“
“I recently visited South Block at George Washington University and was highly impressed with the quality of their smoothies! The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were delicious. I loved the fact that they offered a wide variety of smoothies, with different combinations of fruits, veggies, and other natural ingredients. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and they even helped me use my gift card to pay for my order. Overall, I recommend South Block smoothies for anyone looking for a healthy and delicious treat!“
“Stopped by the new New Jersey Avenue NW DC Z Burger. The chicken cheesesteak with "two" cheeses was excellent & generous. The onion rings were awesome there. Everything is fresh, and the staff is unusually friendly and helpful. I can also recommend their 75 flavors of milkshakes (I prefer strawberry). The store was spotless. Street parking was easy, but DC has parking meters not to be ignored.“
“Nice placeI couldn't find it at the beginning! But then I noticed it.You order through the screen and I like that you can control the sugar and everything big in your drink !It was nice quick and neatMy son loved it .Prices in an averageStaff where all young and niceLess space for setting!“
“Avocolada-debated b/w this and peanut butter but choice had less calorie and refreshing, no sugar added. Sweet enough from ingredients. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Clean with high top counters, short walk from my Office and this was across the main gate of the Nats stadium in opposite side from Gatsby! Good addition to this already varied go to grubs & drinks stations! Only smiles!“
“Our second full day in DC and this was our second stop at this location for lunch. My wife and I both had a craving for a gyro. We both got beef gyros. They were both delicious. The pita was full of meat, sauce, lettuce, tomato and onions. Overall, it was a great lunch“
“Possibly the best food I’ve ever had in the DMV meets incredible service. They didn’t have the dessert we wanted, so they comped us the one we chose instead. Also, as someone who is sensitive to gluten, dairy, corn, and peanuts, eating out is often extremely tricky and limited, but I was able to choose from maybe 70% of their menu, which is super impressive. Great spot if you have dietary restrictions and want a lot of options.Just a note, you definitely want a reservation. This place is busy for a reason!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-, dairy-, and nut-containing options are clearly labeled. Ask about other restrictions if you have them.“
