Pizza was outstanding. It was perfectly cooked , not Musy in the middle. Ingredients were all fresh and quantity was just right.
One of the best pizzas in DC
My boyfriend and I were visiting from Texas. Found Alfreda’s online and came for dinner. It was absolutely amazing and our favorite meal of our trip. I had the blueberry St. Germain spritz and the passion fruit spritz— both great. And we shared the Caesar salad and the Alfreda pizza add basil. Pizzeria Alfreda is a wonderful gem in Washington, D.C., known for its fabulous and amazing pizza. The spot nails both the food and the aesthetic, offering solid Neapolitan style pizza in creative and delicious ways. Pizzas are unconventional, like the unique persimmon pizza or the guanciale mango pie with basil and stracciatella, which are balanced and delightful. They also offer a tomato pie with pepperoni and hot Italian sausage and romano cheese. The dough has potential with nice crumb and good flavor, though execution can sometimes be poor. The fabulous wings, fun wine list, and generous drinks add to the experience. A unique take on tiramisu is a perfect dessert. The entire staff is warm, friendly, genuinely welcoming, and fast, providing great service. The happy hour BOGO special is a great value. It is one of the favorite restaurants in the entire DMV, a place customers are thrilled to discover and already look forward to returning to.
