“I love this neighborhood gem or a bar/restaurant. Great vibes and elevated food. My only suggestion is to take the Triple H sandwich off the menu. There's no honey flavoring and for a person that loves Nashville Hot Chicken this was incredibly hot to the point of being nauseating. Unless there's some insane hot chicken eating contest this is not for regular human consumption.“

“Excellent beer in a basement that serves a great selection of Belgian and monk-ist beers. Beers are affordable ($8-15), especially because most of them are higher in abv. I didn't have a chance to try the food, but I'd come back to try mussels! Their menu looked intriguing. Service was a typical bar but their seating was very cool chapel pews. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Bartender was efficient and seemed to have quite a few regulars at the bar. Overall a quiet place to have conversations! I'll be back.“

The salad had fresh ingredients and even the dressing tasted homemade. The fish and chips were fried to perfection and melted in your mouth. Service was excellent and we were made to feel right at home. The restaurant was clean and inviting and I can’t wait to return once the outdoor patio is open. Many thanks to the owners for making my husband’s birthday special and ensure he felt celebrated.“

“My favorite place in the broader neighborhood! The staff are friendly and attentive! The food is consistently good - everything on the menu is good, my favorites are the ribs platter, Gouda burger, steak and cheese, wings, blackened seared tuna app, and great fries too. I, and other friends, go out of our way for the hand-dipped chicken fingers (a staple pickup for take out since I live nearby). In addition to great selection of beers, they always have NA beer selections too, which I get when coming with the kids. They love the nachos, wings and kids menu.Kid-friendliness: Seating indoors is all high-tops, so low-tops are on covered patio. Good kids menu w/crayons. Never a problem with tables during non-peak hours, but if a big game or something, do the best you can.“

“My friend and I came here after the zoo because it was conveniently located right across from the Asia trail. I ordered a Posh BLTA without the B and my boyfriend ordered Oeufs Norweigienne (sp?). I enjoyed my sandwich A LOT, however, my friend's had EGG ON TOP OF EGG. They had to have used like 6-7 eggs for that thing. It tasted delicious, but he felt sick afterward from having so many eggs. We were going to walk around the rest of the day and we didn't have a car, plus I don't like eggs, so unfortunately we had to waste the rest of his meal. The waiter was super weird about it and kept ignoring us, and I think he was upset that my friend didn't finish. It's not our fault, and it was yummy, but how can anyone finish that many eggs?! Lol! It would have gone bad if we took the rest with us.Anyway, the bill was a reasonable amount of money and it's a cute place. My Posh BLTA had delicious avocado and it tasted very fresh.“

“Commodore DC was such a vibe! We kicked things off with some drinks, starting with their spiciest beverage (forgot the name, oops) and it was fire! Followed it up with the signature Commodore cocktail, which was also a banger. The Totchos with shaved steak were next-level; huge portion, could've used some sour cream or cream sauce, but still hit the spot! The wings were the real MVPs, OG dusted with blue cheese—unreal! Definitely ordering those again. Now, the fried pimiento cheese balls were a letdown; not crispy, too oily, and lacked flavor. They were a curveball since everything else was on point. Shoutout to Carl for the top-notch service, and the vibe was just right—super cozy with great energy!Wheelchair accessibility: They have downstairs setting although it’s all table top. No booths, no low seating to the ground. Also there’s a step to enter the building. They have seating outside that might be more suitable during spring/summer months.“

“This was a bit of a strange experience, and maybe it was because we went between lunch and dinner. The food was absolutely incredible. We had the Balboa Sandwich, crab cakes entree, and kids pasta all with the steamed broccoli. We also got ribs to go for our kid who wanted to stay at the hotel. The consensus was the food was amazing. Like so good! 10/10Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. It wasn't very busy, but we still had to go to the bar to ask for drinks, and for the check.Overall it was really good food and drinks and I would be willing to give the service a second chance to do better.Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu“

“There is nothing about this place that doesn’t merit five stars. The service from the bar - Chris, Olga, Jake, and everyone else- are friendly and welcoming. The drink selection is solid and full of favorites. And the food - good lord, the food is outstanding. The best cheese curds, top notch legit red beans and rice - there’s not an off note on the whole menu. Top it off with the fact that I believe that all of their sauces and dressings are house made - like I said, five stars all around!“

“Nice dive bar up by the zoo! It's a very chill spot but has lots of seating (a very cute window spot) and is a great place to go watch sports or to go if you have a bigger group. They have cheap beer but also good draft options. We got a bucket of coors banquet for $16, and you get five of them so pretty killer deal. For sure a no frill place but our bartender was lovely and very attentive! Great spot to stop by if you're in the area or looking for a place to watch sports.“

“Me and our party of 12 dropped in for a bite of lunch. I looked over the menu, but I just didn't feel like another sandwich ? and fries for lunch. So they mentioned they had beef ? short Ribs with mash potatoes and green beans. It was the best dish I ever had my entire week in Washington DC. The short ribs we're so delicious ? filled with yummy beef flavor that melted in you're mouth. They we're also so tender and juicy! The green beans were cooked to perfection!I would definitely order that again,it was that good ❗ Being a cook myself it's hard to find restaurants that impress me. But this exceeded my expectations. And staff did there best to fill drinks and keep everyone happy! ??????The atmosphere was ok, I don't care for bars and every restaurant in DC has a bar. I don't drink at all and people that drink get to loud for conversation!“

“Nice and intimate pub. We came around 8:30 on a Friday night. They have lots of specials including $8 martinis on Wednesday (which were honestly okay). They have two menus available-a more traditional bar and British menu along with the Thai menu from upstairs. They told us they have live music and trivia on Thursdays. Very comfortable and low key spot.“
