“Can only speak to brunch. First the restaurant is easy to find, staff was very attentive and helpful with suggesting beers. The full English breakfast was a delicious choice! I only wish 1) it came with more bread 2) there was a choice to add on black pudding. Note I wasn’t asked how I wanted my eggs but they came out perfectly for me. Felt like a large portion for the price. Wish you could get the Anfield Ale outside of the pub. Wish they had more authentic music than top 40’s of today. Sticky toffee pudding was okay (I know the donuts are the better recommendation but my mom wanted the other)“

“Great bar with great vibes and even better employees. I truly cannot convey how grateful I am for the amazing employees at this bar! After fainting at the bottom of the stairs Friday night, the employees all immediately sprang into action, making sure that I was ok and asking questions while they called for paramedics. They even knew that I hadn’t been drinking, properly conveying that I was having a true medical issue. The first thing I remember is one of them telling me that I wasn’t alone and everything was going to be ok. Fainting episodes are always very disorienting and even painful for me, but everyone made me feel completely safe and comforted. They ensured no onlookers made me uncomfortable or laughed, really minimizing my immense embarrassment about the whole experience. They were so respectful, and one man in particular truly took care of me the entire time. Honestly, I’m sure they did even more than I was aware of, and I am so grateful for their assistance. This is an absolutely amazing bar that simply put my safety above all else. I have never been treated with such genuine care, thoughtfulness, and kindness during a fainting episode. My only regret is not getting any of their names to properly thank them for their help, so I really hope they see this! Your help meant the world to me, and I cannot wait to tell all of my friends to come to The Commodore!“

“Great pub for watching NFL, NCAA, Soccer any sport! Great staff bar tenders, for bar food not bad. The beer is cold! Watched several games here, always a good time, outside seating, and also has a TV.“

“A 501(c)(3) non-profit bar, where you can drink for a good cause! Good Belgian beers. NO TV! Cell phones discouraged. Real live, face-to-face, human-to-human communication instead of screen-to-screen or screaming at television B.S. Live music. Open mics and jams. Good conversations.“

“Came here at a random time after the zoo with kids and it has been a blast. I'm not sure if elementary school kids are their ideal demographic but they gave them free Shirley temples, off menu kids burgers and fries, and my kiddos are cheering for the soccer shown at the bar.

They have some interesting live music coming up, so I hope to come back (without kids) soon!“

“Food is delicious. Best crust in the DMV. Great salads. Service is reliably wonderful. My husband and I are regulars. My husband says the beer is good. My whine is about the wine, which in all categories is mediocre, expensive for what it is, and almost never changes, no matter how many nice requests we've made to the staff. PLEASE up your wine game!“
