“This is and has been my favorite gay bar in DC for a long time. They’ve always had the best happy hour, and then it turns into the best scene in the evenings! The two floor layout makes it perfect regardless of what you’re looking for. Downstairs is a little quieter which allows for fun conversation. Upstairs is livelier with amazing music, which allows for more of a nightclub scene. Drinks are strong and bartenders are hot! Highly recommend!“

“Went to Trade tonight and I was amazed with the music in the back room. The crowd was great and it was unbelievable they didn’t charge a cover to get in! If you’re gay and looking for a good time like the days of Town, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. “What they’ve done with the Eagle, by moving upstairs is an awesome addition to the DC nightlife. I’m looking forward to both designated great nights, as well as happy hours with the uncovered indoor patio area. For a DC bar, they definitely surprised me. It was awesome to see a place to go mid week that actually felt like an Eagle!“

“A meandering, friendly queer space! Visited from out of town, the crowd was early 20s and very excited to bop to madonna & swift. Easy re-entry. But if you’re closer to 30 or want a club vibe with a proper DJ, this might not be the spot.“

You to party with a crowd come ending of week and weekend. Wanna chill Sunday thru Wednesday is the days to come. Either day it is a good time.“

“A solid gay bar for men.
Downstairs they play appropriate/good music & videos; drinks are strong and reasonably priced; bartenders are hardworking and nice to look at.
Clientele is mostly men (thank god); various ages/demographics make for a nice mix and some potential hook ups.

Upstairs can be hit or miss music wise. A nice space for dancing, good air conditioning and again a solid bar/drink experience.
Restrooms with working stall doors and fairly clean are much appreciated...“

“Affordable shots, beautiful spaces!! Different rooms were playing different music. The main floor had an option to request a song. I didn't love the music selection though, it was hard to keep a vibe going. When the room is fully packed, there wasn't much you could do but stand around, and where we did have some dancing room, the music was all wack. Anyway, love lesbians and hope to come back for a better time!!“
