“The new space is super cute and the dumplings are just as tasty as ever! When we went, the vegetarians and meat-eaters in the group both loved "Livin' on the Vedge". Also super affordable and filling - 2 thumbs up!“

“We got lucky and had lunch here during a day of tourism. Inexpensive and great food and boba. The cook (who was the only one working there as you can order with the ipad) was nice and the place was clean and cozy. We went at an off-peak time so we were able to sit at the counter but I imagine that during lunch rush it must mostly be for takeout as there are few seats. Also I don't think they had a bathroom as I looked around for one and didn't see it. It wasn't an emergency situation though so did not ask to use one.“

“Been scouting this place for about 3 weeks for a birthday dinner. I called over a week in advance for a party of 7 - 13 people. They were able too accommodate and the food was GOOOOOD! That hotpot was smokin and I thought I choose a milder one but it was excellent in taste for me. Now this was the first time I have had it so don't come at me if it doesn't hit you taste buds the same.“

“❣️Wow, wonderfully delicious.
Had Starla as a waitress and she was simply such a gem, was very timely with everything. Sweetly explained the menu and gave incredible recommendations!
Because of her attentiveness I would 10/10 visit again.
The food was delicious, bubble tea flavors and pearls were fresh and simple. I would say it leans more toward an America flavor pallet depending on your selection but Im sure there are some sophisticated options if that's where your pallet tends to lean.
I got the chai latte light sugar&ice and my hubby greatly enjoyed Starla's PineappleMango suggestion. So yummy, so fun.
I love the bright decor and semi-exclusive dining options; certainly would love to meet the family here during an outing.
The bathroom was super clean and had a large mirror great for freshening up.
Certainly would recommend for DC visitors.
I got the Lucky dumpling back. Personal favorite of the bunch was the black Truffle so I know next visit which basket I'll lean more toward.
✨️BONUS: Their bowl, cups and utensil charger had a very elegant weight to them which was incredibly comforting and added a coziness to the experience.
All in all, great spot for mid-day nummies🥟🧋☺️👍✨️“

“Randomly stumbled upon this place after looking for a spot to eat in Georgetown and it was delicious! We came from out of town and have to say this is one of the best meals we had on the trip. Sushi was fresh, service was excellent, definitely your “hole in the wall” type of place. Our server Darya was extremely kind and accommodating! I highly recommend stopping in here.“

“Excellent, efficient and clean establishment. Food was ready when I walked in to pick it up at 10-15 min after I placed the order. The Tejas BBQ brisket taste was fantastic. The SriPraPhai drunken noodles with tofu was so-so. Its taste profile was more like Pad Thai than drunken noodles I have had from prior restaurants, so would not get this again. The taste wasn't bad, but not what I expected. Overall, I would still return and try this food concept chain again (similar to a food court in a mall with many restaurant options but with a small pick up window and assembly room in the back).“

“Absolutely delicious food! I first came here six years ago for my husband’s birthday after hearing about the restaurant from a foodie. It’s an unpretentious spot with incredibly good food. We ordered 10+ different dishes that first time and loved everything, especially the dan dan noodles and the pork bun. Nothing can ever compare to their Dan Dan noodles no matter how many times we order them from different restaurants!
We moved far away after a few years, but when we came back to visit friends this month, this was the first restaurant we wanted to return to. The food was just as delicious as it was six years ago. Highly recommend!“

“Food was absolutely delicious here! We ordered pretty much everything in he menu but the standouts for us were the eggplant, pea shoots, and the cumin fish!
Service was also great. Our waiter was very pleasant and explained the menu so well to us. Even the drinks!“

“We've been eating here for over 20 years and it has always been good. It is recently under new management and the way some items are prepared has changed, but still very tasty -- just a new twist on an old favorite. The one thing the new management needs is someone who knows their way around a bar. The people there this week had a very limited range of knowledge about drinks (gin on the rocks got a blank look), but once you explained they happily made a very acceptable drink.“

“My new neighborhood go to place for Chinese food. I've been looking for a place since Tsim Yung closed on 12th Street a while back. I'm not a Chinese food connoisseur but this meets my test for good weekend comfort food with reasonable prices and good portions. Location is sketchy but the kitchen area looks remarkable clean and open for a fast food joint. Ordered pork fried rice twice and added Szechuan Beef on the second trip. They didn't disappoint. Would definitely recommend. Staff is friendly and efficient.“

“First time visiting Wonder Cleveland Park as a tourist, and I wasn’t sure what to expect or how to order. John was really helpful and walked us through the different menus and the self-ordering setup. I liked that you can order from multiple restaurants all in one place, which makes it perfect for indecisive groups or people who all want different things. One person can get a salad, another can get a burger, and someone else can grab pizza, all in the same order. We tried the lime salt and Royal Greens, and it was a great experience overall.“

“Authentic, no-frills, all-flavor DC carry-out food, with fried chicken wings, original-style DC mambo sauce, fried rice with plenty of onions and bean sprouts, french fries made as you ask with salt, pepper, ketchup, a steak and cheese with seasoned meat and plenty of fillings, I prefer getting it with everything and hot peppers, and it was the nostalgic, savory taste I'd been looking for since loving in DC and moving to VA 10 years ago. This spot has great food. Make sure you have Zelle or cash, they don't take credit cards and there's an ATM inside.
I got a half steak and cheese woth everything on it plus hot peppers, an order of French fries with salt, pepper, ketchup, and 3 wings with fried rice with mambo sauce on everything. Plus I got an extra container of mambo sauce for dipping. It was less than $20. Wait time was maybe 10 minutes.“

“I hadn’t been here in forever and ended up meeting a friend for a quick lunch. The Singapore Noodles HIT and to get a nice cup of wonton soup for a $1 more? No brainer. Can’t beautiful the price for the quality and the lunch portion was perfect. Certainly adding it into the office lunch rotation!“

“Phenomenal service & food presentation. May (please forgive me if I’m misspelling) treated us with such hospitality & warmth. While I can understand how servicing a large group can be daunting, she just treated us so well. We came here for a work lunch & were absolutely impressed. Our dishes were fresh, flavorful, & presented beautifully. Easily our new favorite place in the neighborhood.
Thank you & many blessings to the Isshin team!“

“We went to Washington, D.C., for the first time and enjoyed this beautiful city. We went to eat at some places, but one of our favorites is this place. A family restaurant with humble and kind attention. The food is so good. We went twice. If we visit this city again, we will come back to this nice place.“

“I’m only half-way through my meal and the service and food is so great that I felt the need to write a review. Seriously one of the best tasting Chinese restaurants that I have been to in Virginia and DC. It is very cozy in here too. I got the hot and sour soup, kung pao tofu, vegetable lo mein, and hot green tea. Shirley C took great care of me and the owner came out as well. Very welcoming.“

“I loveeeeeeee hood stuff ! I’m a Philly girl and when in DC I needed some mumbo sauce and heard on the street the best place to try genuine mumbo sauce is a takeout place ! This food was so bomb ! Im a SPK on my platter kinda girl already but that salt pepper ketchup and mumbo sauce really took me to the next level! I would definitely go back through here and hit them up on a late night !“

“I’ve been coming to this carry out for over 15 years. Never once had an issue. Egg foo young and gravy hands down the best in NE. Shrimp and broccoli, bourbon lo mein. I mean I’ve had everything on the menu. And it’s great every times“

“This was probably the lightest Chinese food I've ever had. It tasted a bit like it was reduced sodium or something. Still flavorful, fresh, good portion, good price and service was good just... lighter.Hard to explain. But I recommend the shrimp and broccoli. No indoor dining only carry our.Funny I saw some kids actually come here and order the burger and fries. Colombia Heights is an interesting area.“

“I ordered on UberEats yesterday after seeing a TikTok review on them. 10/10 would recommend. I ordered 4wings with mumbo sauce, shrimp egg roll, and shrimp and broccoli. Everything was bomb. Best mumbo sauce in the city hands down. I could tell by the color it was going to be fire! Wings were seasoned and good. Shrimp and broccoli was torch. Shrimp egg roll actually had a nice amount of shrimp. Everything was so goood. Only carry out I’m going to from now on.“

“Extremely good Szechuan food for Chinese takeout prices. Even the normal American Chinese takeout items like the pork fried rice noodles has some extra flavor, and the more specialized items like the dry hot pot are excellent examples of Szechuan cooking. On busy days like holidays, give them some extra time but otherwise it's a reasonable turnaround on take out orders. There's no seating at the restaurant, but you can save money by ordering direct and paying cash.“

“I ordered Szechuan shrimp through DoorDash and I asked called them and asked them. Can I make it real spicy and can you put hot peppers on the side? I didn’t get any hot peppers on the side and it wasn’t even that spicy and they put too many brussels sprouts and carrots in there.“
“On my way into DC, I got takeout from Panda Express. On the way back home, I stopped at Wok-A-Holic in Union Station. The latter was decidedly much better—Wok-A-Holic’s orange chicken and broccoli chicken were far superior to Panda’s serviceable but bland orange chicken and broccoli beef. The fried rice was just okay, but overall I was pretty satisfied with the quality of my quick takeout meal.“

“Its your typical corner neighborhood Chinese spot. You know what you're getting and it meets the mark for exactly what you want when you order from here.

“Triple delight beef, shrimp, chicken, broccoli, carrots in brown sauce, egg roll and can of soda. Food seasoned. Establishment very cold indoors. Three chairs for patrons. Inside could be nicer but it probably isnt to keep the cost of the food down. Not spicy. Food service quick. Neighborhood restaurant. Parking available. Will revisit.“

“This was my first time going to Spring Garden! This is a wonderful restaurant with a great menu of Chinese cuisine. Today I opted for wings and vegetable fried rice. I liked that the food was not oily and the wings were the right crisp! Ms. Nana was very pleasant with us, and the restaurant is nice, too. Can't wait to return!“

“My family has been ordering from Simon's since they opened. They have always been kind and we have watched each other's families grow over the years. Their food is good especially if you are a steak and cheese lover! Make sure you get a jumbo mix to wash down all that good food!“

“The food is generally good in a pinch. These dumplings though? The dough is sooo thick it's distracting from the filling and the sauce. I wind up mostly eating the filling and leaving the dough. I get the steamed dumplings.
Kid-friendliness: There isn't anything inside specifically for kids, but they're welcomed into the building.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are steps to get into the building. Not accessible.“

“I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, Sesame chicken, crab rangoon, a steak and cheese as well as a chicken or pork roll..There is seating to wait for your food and maximum mystery.
Second of all, whoever supplied the peanuts and celery for the Kung Pao Chicken is probably putting their kids through college because every spoonful I got had those two waiting to be demolished. The chicken was flavored well so I’m not mad about the the peanut and celery takeover. Sesame chicken was glistening and it was very juicy.
The crab rangoon absolutely hit the spot. Crispy, creamy, and disappeared way faster than I planned.
Now let’s talk about the egg rolls. These things are Biggie. Calling them egg rolls feels disrespectful. The steak and cheese roll was better than the pork or chicken roll.
Overall - tasted good, generous portions, and enough food to make me question why I thought I needed snacks later. I’d definitely order again when I am craving Chinese.“

“Great portions, nice people, and they dispose of waste properly, whereas the wings and dollar places next door pollute the neighborhood with sloppy trash disposal and cleaning. Sometimes the whole neighborhood is covered with the trash blown out of a dumpster and bus stop is flooded with dirty floor washing water, especially the wings place. Bad!! Yum’s does not have any healthy offerings but the wings and dollar places do-so it’s a trade-off. Beggars can’t be choosy ??“

“Our waiter, Caleb, was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and the dishes were interesting and unique. We were a party of 7, sat outside and really enjoyed ourselves. The pacing of all the dishes coming out was perfect. The only downside was that there was a man with a really large dog seated right next to us and the dog barked and whined (so loudly we could not hear each other) and it smacked into our chairs repeatedly. Once the man left things improved and we had a great experience.“
