“I was jonesing Chinese food and chose Lee Express based upon these reviews. Our meals were delicious and reasonably priced: egg drop & wonton soups, steamed dumplings and orange chicken. Would definitely order from here again. It's got the atmosphere of your standard takeout. Even if you could eat in (if there were tables, I missed them), I would choose takeout.“

“Been 7 months since I went here to get very good Chinese food, and not messing up order like lee deli which is close now. The food was excellent in my opinion and staff very polite and funny. Plus chef can cook really good, mostly tried chicken specials, good seasoning and texture, appetizers, Chinese food, great for feeding a family of four or more which is great. “Service and atmosphere were excellent.
The food did not live up to my expectations of Hong Kong/Cantonese flavors... We found this restaurant through the Eater channel on youtube. After our meal, we decided the food was better described as French cuisine with HK influence. I honestly wanted a little soy sauce and rice vinegar with everything. Umami was largely missing from every dish except the duck noodles.
***The chili oil was delicious, floral with balanced heat.***
Split between 2 people:
-green beans (Fine, good texture, but needed more acid to balance rich sweetness. The topping of pickled anaheims were not enough to balance the entire plate),
-dumplings (gentle truffle flavors and nice sweetness from the espuma, but overall unremarkable)
-scallion pancakes (little to no allium flavor, dough was tough, lacked flakes/delicate texture, lacked salt and acid in the sweet tamarind sauce)
-daikon fritters (overwhelmingly bland and dry, needed a dipping condiment)
-Duck noodles finally had some flavor! (But the duck appeared smoked, closer to pastrami... tasty, but not what I expected from duck noodles at an HK restaurant.)
The wine was good. I did appreciate the selection of natural wines.
Overall we were disappointed based on our expectations for and previous experiences with HK/Cantonese dining. The textures and flavors reminded me of a low sodium, easy to chew menu prioritizing French techniques and flavor profiles.
Table condiments (besides chili oil) would have fixed most of my complaints, but I felt embarrassed to ask based on the atmosphere. I felt that my personal culinary tastes were misaligned with the deeply thoughtful and dining experience.
We were not the target diners for this fine establishment, but I recognize the passion, excellence, and personal intention behind every design and culinary choice at Queen's English.“

“This place is great! I got the spicy beef noodle soup and my wife got the scallop and pork soup dumplings and pan-friend pork buns and everything was very much to our liking. The broth was good, the pork buns were perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and qq on the inside, and the soup dumplings were CRAZY savory. I have no idea how they got the dumplings to be a punch of umami, but they did it!

The prices weren't crazy and the service was attentive but not overbearing. We also got the classic milk tea with boba and a mango-pineapple refresher and those were both good as well, though the food I think was better. Also, the menu recommended 50% sweet but we thought that even the 75% wasn't too sweet and the 50% on my refresher felt a little low.“

“Lots of options and everything was delicious! The seating felt a little compact, but the food was amazing! There are a lot of contrasting flavors in all the dishes. Very authentic flavors and quite spicy. The chicken all came out flavorful, and the beef was very soft. The dumplings were also very delicious and juicy!

“This is definitely my new go-to Chinese spot.

I submitted a large take out for my brothers birthday dinner and knew this spot was fire when they called to ask for clarification for my order. We ordered a two general tso chicken combination platter with fried rice, mei fun (thin noodles) with shrimp and also another one with chicken, general tso tofu combination platter and additional sides (fries + vegetable fried rice). I personally ate the chicken mei fun and the food was so good I forgot to get a picture. It was so flavorful and addicting. I added a bit of their chili oil on top and it was the perfect level of spicy that complimented my food. I spent about $108 for all our food which isn’t bad to serve 7 people.

The wonton soup was delicious and steaming hot, the sesame balls great and the kids loved their crispy spring rolls. They do serve everything on disposable plates/cutlery which have earned them a few 1 star reviews. But the food was great - and inexpensive.“

“Fantastic business lunch at NiHao! Had a group of four and we were thoroughly impressed by both the food and the efficiency. Every dish we ordered - from the salt and pepper shrimp to the beef chow fun - was fresh, full of flavor, and enough for leftovers. It is great to find a lunch spot that is quick, and reasonably priced.

Our waiter, Scott made the experience seamless. “I placed a pick up order over the phone and staff was super nice and food was ready on time. The prices are also super reasonable for the amount of food you get. I’m going to give individuals ratings of everything I got below, but we ordered General Tsos, sweet-and-sour chicken and shrimp, shrimp egg foo young, beef and broccoli, combination lo mein, beef teriyaki sticks, egg rolls, crab cheese wontons, egg drop soup, and fried beef dumplings.

General Tsos: 4.5/5, had the exact flavor I’m looking for in this dish, but could have been a little spicier. They got a little soggy from the condensation, but still delicious.

Sweet and sour chicken and shrimp: 4/5, chicken and shrimp both had good flavor, but there were some pieces that were dry and hard like they were a bit old, but the softer pieces were really good and I like that they put the sauce on the side.

Shrimp egg foo young: 5/5, this was our first time trying this dish and we will definitely get it again. This had really good flavor and so did the gravy.

Beef and , the broccoli and meat were fine, but the sauce is missing something. It just didn’t have the flavor I’m used to and will not order again.

Combination lo mein: 5/5, pretty standard Chinese food lo mein but we had no issues with it and flavor was good.

Beef teriyaki sticks: 1/5, my mom really liked these, but I hated them. The flavor kind of reminds me of beef jerky, which is weird in a fresh meat item.

Egg rolls: 3/5, not the best I’ve had but passable. The taste is just a bit bland. They taste better dipped in the sweet and sour sauce.

Crab cheese wontons: 1/5, I already knew I wasn’t going to like them when I saw they were triangle shaped instead of the ones with the four points (iykyk). There was too much wonton and not enough filling in the filling itself had like no flavor.

Fried beef dumplings: 5/5, these were basically gyoza and flavor was pretty good.

Egg drop soup: 5/5, exactly the flavor I want in egg drop soup.

Although we didn’t love everything, the service, the prices, and the fact that we liked the majority of the items, I feel like they deserve five stars. Will definitely come back for my next Chinese food craving.“

“We love Szechuan-style Chinese food, and this spot was a great find. It was casual, clean, and fast, with excellent quality and generous portions. The pork stir-fry in garlic sauce and flash-fried green beans with pickled cabbage were both super flavorful and paired really well together. The shrimp lo mein was delicious too. I feel like you could bring friends and family to this restaurant and just have shareable as the plate seem pretty large. I did bring my six month old baby and our stroller which I wouldn’t do again lol it’s pretty tight in there, but it was still enjoyable. They have a lot of fun drinks that atmosphere feels really cool when you go after 4:00 PM. The staff is really nice and I can tell each item you order is being made fresh. It took about 20 minutes to get my food. I will say the restaurant was busy inside and out and like I said it’s pretty small so they were moving as fast as they could and I wasn’t in a rush. At first, I thought this was going to be fast casual, but it’s really like a cocktail bar with really yummy food. Giving you still that restaurant experience. I wasn’t expecting it to be in College Park so happy I found it. Definitely get the fried dumplings. They were out of this world. And technically I ordered the dish that’s called spicy pork broth, but I didn’t get it spicy because I shared it with my six month old who also absolutely loved it.
I also got two drinks. They were delicious cocktails I got one called Berry Bizz (which is a sweet high ball drink), and the one pictured which is technically called citrus something but instead of orange juice, I asked them to fill it up with cranberry juice. Overall, I would say I wouldn’t bring more than one baby lol, I wouldn’t bring a stroller, and I would definitely use this as a fun cocktail night for a date night, with your bestie, or with your family. Also, my bill was high, but if you remove my drinks, you could go there and technically spend $10-$20.“

It is recently under new management and the way some items are prepared has changed, but still very tasty -- just a new twist on an old favorite. The one thing the new management needs is someone who knows their way around a bar. The people there this week had a very limited range of knowledge about drinks (gin on the rocks got a blank look), but once you explained they happily made a very acceptable drink.“

“My new neighborhood go to place for Chinese food. I've been looking for a place since Tsim Yung closed on 12th Street a while back. I'm not a Chinese food connoisseur but this meets my test for good weekend comfort food with reasonable prices and good portions. Location is sketchy but the kitchen area looks remarkable clean and open for a fast food joint. Ordered pork fried rice twice and added Szechuan Beef on the second trip. They didn't disappoint. Would definitely recommend. Staff is friendly and efficient.“

John was really helpful and walked us through the different menus and the self-ordering setup. I liked that you can order from multiple restaurants all in one place, which makes it perfect for indecisive groups or people who all want different things. One person can get a salad, another can get a burger, and someone else can grab pizza, all in the same order. We tried the lime salt and Royal Greens, and it was a great experience overall.“

It's a cute chill restaurant. There is a bar setup. We sat at a small table in the dining area. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband said he hates that if he has the dish anywhere else it won't be as good 🤭. He's not wrong. It was some of the best general tso chicken I've had as well as the beef & broccoli. The broccoli was cooked but still had a nice crunch. The meat for both dishes were fresh and for the chicken there was more chicken than breading which is hard to come by at places.
