“Went here with my girlfriend and got :- 6 fried 6 steamed dumplings- general tso’s- fried rice- rice noodles- wonton soupI can easily say it was the best dumplings I have ever had. The rice noodles were very good and the wonton soup was alright. The gen tsos was as expected (good) and the fried rice was pretty good. I will definitely be coming back and getting more. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for great Chinese food. Also the service was awesome, they seem like great people.“

“I came to visit all the way from San Diego. Eating the food at this place reminded me of what I was missing in San Diego. On the East Coast Chinese food is the best!. In California Mexican Food is the best!. I ordered the fried fish with fried rice and the shrimp basket with french fries. Both were delicious! I’m gonna miss the food when I return to California. And I ordered 2 Rock Creek Peach flavored soda. They don’t have Rock Creek beverages in California. So sad“

“Most everything I get from here is good. Even the sushi rolls are decent. Prices are very reasonable even though they should update their menu to reflect the new prices. They have gone up at least $1 on everything, but you don't know until your total doesn't add up correctly. I'd suggest that they tape 1 menu with new pricing to the counter so people know what they're paying. The ladies are nice, food is always tasty and hot. Not the first place I would think of to dine in. Even though it's always clean, the setup is outdated and is more of cafeteria style than restaurant.“

“Service and atmosphere were excellent.
The food did not live up to my expectations of Hong Kong/Cantonese flavors... We found this restaurant through the Eater channel on youtube. After our meal, we decided the food was better described as French cuisine with HK influence. I honestly wanted a little soy sauce and rice vinegar with everything. Umami was largely missing from every dish except the duck noodles.

Split between 2 people:
-green beans (Fine, good texture, but needed more acid to balance rich sweetness. The topping of pickled anaheims were not enough to balance the entire plate),
-dumplings (gentle truffle flavors and nice sweetness from the espuma, but overall unremarkable)
-scallion pancakes (little to no allium flavor, dough was tough, lacked flakes/delicate texture, lacked salt and acid in the sweet tamarind sauce)
-daikon fritters (overwhelmingly bland and dry, needed a dipping condiment)
-Duck noodles finally had some flavor! (But the duck appeared smoked, closer to pastrami... tasty, but not what I expected from duck noodles at an HK restaurant.)
The wine was good. I did appreciate the selection of natural wines.
Overall we were disappointed based on our expectations for and previous experiences with HK/Cantonese dining. The textures and flavors reminded me of a low sodium, easy to chew menu prioritizing French techniques and flavor profiles.
Table condiments (besides chili oil) would have fixed most of my complaints, but I felt embarrassed to ask based on the atmosphere. I felt that my personal culinary tastes were misaligned with the deeply thoughtful and dining experience.
We were not the target diners for this fine establishment, but I recognize the passion, excellence, and personal intention behind every design and culinary choice at Queen's English.“

“This place is great! I got the spicy beef noodle soup and my wife got the scallop and pork soup dumplings and pan-friend pork buns and everything was very much to our liking. The broth was good, the pork buns were perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and qq on the inside, and the soup dumplings were CRAZY savory. I have no idea how they got the dumplings to be a punch of umami, but they did it!

The prices weren't crazy and the service was attentive but not overbearing. We also got the classic milk tea with boba and a mango-pineapple refresher and those were both good as well, though the food I think was better. Also, the menu recommended 50% sweet but we thought that even the 75% wasn't too sweet and the 50% on my refresher felt a little low.“

“What a fantastic restaurant this is! Visiting from Chicago and this is a great venue! Upbeat and stylish are the keys to this establishment. Jai Jai was an awesome server explaining all the details of what the restaurant offers! Everything came out timely, piping hot and tasty! Definitely worth another visit if we are in DC. Tried the signature Pork chop fried rice, braised beef ramen and the dumpling sampler. And ended with the other signature dessert, cheesecake topped with fortune cookies and crumbs. “This is definitely my new go-to Chinese spot.

I submitted a large take out for my brothers birthday dinner and knew this spot was fire when they called to ask for clarification for my order. We ordered a two general tso chicken combination platter with fried rice, mei fun (thin noodles) with shrimp and also another one with chicken, general tso tofu combination platter and additional sides (fries + vegetable fried rice). I personally ate the chicken mei fun and the food was so good I forgot to get a picture. It was so flavorful and addicting. I added a bit of their chili oil on top and it was the perfect level of spicy that complimented my food. I spent about $108 for all our food which isn’t bad to serve 7 people.

The wonton soup was delicious and steaming hot, the sesame balls great and the kids loved their crispy spring rolls. They do serve everything on disposable plates/cutlery which have earned them a few 1 star reviews. But the food was great - and inexpensive.“

“This is a very authentic Yunnan style noodle spot. I'm Chinese and this style of cuisine was new even to me and my dinner party. If you like spicy food, then you should come here. If not, just be sure to ask your servers for help. It's a very casual spot, and there were a lot of families eating here. The noodles were very good, and all of the ingredients and toppings were fresh. If you are new to Chinese food or looking for more of the standards (e.g. fried rice, beef and broccoli, etc.) then take a close look at the menu before coming here to make sure there will be something you like.“

“The food was really delicious! When you go to eat here in person, you can tell its prepared fresh and you can hear and smell the food being cooked as youre waiting. I feel like you could bring friends and family to this restaurant and just have shareable as the plate seem pretty large. I did bring my six month old baby and our stroller which I wouldn’t do again lol it’s pretty tight in there, but it was still enjoyable. They have a lot of fun drinks that atmosphere feels really cool when you go after 4:00 PM. The staff is really nice and I can tell each item you order is being made fresh. It took about 20 minutes to get my food. I will say the restaurant was busy inside and out and like I said it’s pretty small so they were moving as fast as they could and I wasn’t in a rush. At first, I thought this was going to be fast casual, but it’s really like a cocktail bar with really yummy food. Giving you still that restaurant experience. I wasn’t expecting it to be in College Park so happy I found it. Definitely get the fried dumplings. They were out of this world. And technically I ordered the dish that’s called spicy pork broth, but I didn’t get it spicy because I shared it with my six month old who also absolutely loved it.
I also got two drinks. They were delicious cocktails I got one called Berry Bizz (which is a sweet high ball drink), and the one pictured which is technically called citrus something but instead of orange juice, I asked them to fill it up with cranberry juice. Overall, I would say I wouldn’t bring more than one baby lol, I wouldn’t bring a stroller, and I would definitely use this as a fun cocktail night for a date night, with your bestie, or with your family. Also, my bill was high, but if you remove my drinks, you could go there and technically spend $10-$20.“

“My new neighborhood go to place for Chinese food. I've been looking for a place since Tsim Yung closed on 12th Street a while back. I'm not a Chinese food connoisseur but this meets my test for good weekend comfort food with reasonable prices and good portions. “It was my grandsons birthday and we wanted to grab something to eat before watching the movie Spider-Man. Not only did they make sure we got our delicious food quickly, when they brought out his dessert they played a happy birthday song! John was really helpful and walked us through the different menus and the self-ordering setup. “Authentic, no-frills, all-flavor DC carry-out food, with fried chicken wings, original-style DC mambo sauce, fried rice with plenty of onions and bean sprouts, french fries made as you ask with salt, pepper, ketchup, a steak and cheese with seasoned meat and plenty of fillings, I prefer getting it with everything and hot peppers, and it was the nostalgic, savory taste I'd been looking for since loving in DC and moving to VA 10 years ago. This spot has great food. Make sure you have Zelle or cash, they don't take credit cards and there's an ATM inside.
I got a half steak and cheese woth everything on it plus hot peppers, an order of French fries with salt, pepper, ketchup, and 3 wings with fried rice with mambo sauce on everything. Plus I got an extra container of mambo sauce for dipping. It was less than $20. Wait time was maybe 10 minutes.“

“Cool concept it’s like +6 kitchens in 1. They offer a lot of different promos on social media. From Alana pizza, I ordered the burrata and the bacon pesto pizza. The burrata was really fresh and I enjoyed the pesto pizza. From Di Fara pizza, I ordered the pepperoni, sausage and meatball pizza. Not sure if it was dough or the pizza was undercooked, but I wish there was more of a crisp to the crust. I found myself chewing longer than expected.

Location was really clean and ordering via the app was easy. There’s plenty of street parking around the shopping center. Prices are high for the area. I would definitely be back to try some of the other restaurants.“

It's a cute chill restaurant. There is a bar setup. We sat at a small table in the dining area. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband said he hates that if he has the dish anywhere else it won't be as good 🤭. He's not wrong. It was some of the best general tso chicken I've had as well as the beef & broccoli. “This has become my go to for delivery. If you get delivery go to the website (yes, website, not Uber eats or some other rip-off delivery app) and order there. Prices will be better and the restaurant doesn't lose such a big cut. Considering it's not that close (I'm near Dupont circle), delivery is usually pretty snappy. Plus, theyre open a lot later than most places in range. Like every place, there's things they do well, and things they do ok. I love the chairman pork, the eggplant, and the crispy beef (it's basically candied steak which you won't hear me complain about). The general tsos/orange chicken is good and not too over-battered; not their best dishes but great for the price. I thought the soup dumplings were good too, and the ma po tofu had good flavor if slightly silkier tofu than I'm used to. The quality is good all around. I order from here more than I can afford and I never feel bad as a result of doing so. The complaints on here are kinda dumb imo, people upset that their favorite dish isn't just the way *they* like it, or that it's a take-away/delivery only place (I'm cracking up over the woman who walks into a place called Shanghai Dumpling and tries to order fries). I think the quality for the price is great, there's some things on the menu you can't get anywhere else, which is awesome, and having ordered dozens of times I have had one or two things I wasn't a fan of but never had an order mistake, a late delivery, or any service issues. “I've been coming here for about three years, and I can honestly say this has been one of the most consistent and reliable restaurants in the area. The food is always delicious, the portions are great, and our orders are always correct.

My personal favorites are the pork fried rice and the crab rangoons, both are amazing. My kids love the lo mein. No matter what we order, the quality is always top-notch.
