“My Family and I stopped here because we love Greek food and heard this was authentic Greek food. First thing I tried was the calamari appetizer, as we are from Louisiana and love our seafood. The calamari hands down was the best I have ever had. The texture, the flavor, everything about it was fantastic. You can get that kind of quality in a 5 Star restaurant. Next home made fry’s, absolutely delicious. Don’t left me forget the Spanakopita, first time hearing it and eating and also fell in love with it. I had the Big Fat Gyro lamb, as well as my son and wife. Again another fantastic dish. Full of flavor and the size of these are huge so you’re getting a great deal. My wife also order a platter of Souvlaki and a Gyro platter as well for us to try. Completely delicious. Hands down such a great place. I will definitely be coming back my next trip. “I’ve been going to this cafe for around 2y ears since I first came to this neighborhood. It’s never disappointed me and the staff have always been accommodating when I make a mistake in my words, and very in and out— quick with giving you food and drinks to let you go on your merry way! The cafe has always had this calming atmosphere that’s never made me anxious, the seats are comfortable, and you have the feeling of security and safety there.”

“The food is really good! Serving sizes are family-style for most plates, so one plate is meant to be shared amongst those at the table. Service was efficient, friendly, accommodating, and the person processing our transaction informed us very clearly of the pre-charged 20% gratuity for the party of 6 or more (which we were, so I appreciate the clarity). The atmosphere is lively without being too loud, clean, tastefully decorated, open and spacious. There is a window where you can see the fresh noodles being made to order! Authentic Korean food, not a large variety of drinks (just soda, really - coke products, beer, liquor, and water). When the menu mentions spicy - it's spicy! But even regular items that don't mention spicy might have a little kick.”

“Took my hubbyfor the first time. A BOB that didn't disappoint. I had oxtail (stew) delicious. Hub had the talipia entree he loved it. I'm not a fan of fish and milk or coconut combo but his palate enjoyed it. We were so full we passed on the mango pie lol. “It's Kenyan style food so the curry among other dishes will not be what you are used to. However, I did enjoy the added spices that the African style brings. I recommend everyone giving this restaurant a try. They have pool tables too. Tell Lindsey I sent you. Bon Appetit”

“Quite literally my favorite restaurant in Maryland the owners and staff are so kind and friendly and they always greet me with a smile. I have been coming here since I was just five or six and hopefully continue I’m no longer able to.”

“The carnita tacos are AMAZING. Quesbirria was cooked to perfection. I love the fresh cold cucumber and radish they add, as well as the grilled onion and jalapeno. It's better than most restaurants! What an awesome find while making a pitstop for gas.”

“After moving from Florida I have been tirelessly searching for a good taco place in Maryland. I was so happy to find Tacos A La Madre! When you go inside it is very under decorated, but clean and they have a good sense of branding with their black and yellow color scheme. The tacos are amazing, flavorful, and consistent every time I go. The ingredients taste fresh. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be the shrimp tacos and the birria tacos! 🌮 This is our new go-to taco place. You have to go- you won’t be disappointed.”

“We came here for breakfast on the woman, he's so sweet, she was very sweet to us, she got the food ready, fast, service was amazing, and loved it so much, I think everybody should come here for breakfast every single time, because it's small business, she was more customers, the lady has a shirt, black hair, no browser, and she is very sweet, come to a restaurant champion girl to get a good breakfast, she works pretty fast.”

“I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Went in to eat with my boys and wasn't acknowledged at all by the server who was standing right at the front. When she did acknowledge me she was not friendly at all. I told her 3. then she told me I can sit wherever. there was 2 tables open. one way in the back and one in front. I choose the one in front then she said I can't sit there. I said you said I can sit wherever. she walked away and told one of the guys in the back who proceeded to yell and tell me I can't sit there and they have big tops coming in. I understand this but I am 8 MONTHS PREGNANT! YOU WANTED ME TO SQUEEZE IN THE WAY BACK!? excuse me for wanting to be comfortable while I eat. will NEVER come here. completely ruined my morning! my boys were crying because they wanted to eat and we had to leave.”

“I came to visit all the way from San Diego. Eating the food at this place reminded me of what I was missing in San Diego. On the East Coast Chinese food is the best!. In California Mexican Food is the best!. I ordered the fried fish with fried rice and the shrimp basket with french fries. Both were delicious! I’m gonna miss the food when I return to California. And I ordered 2 Rock Creek Peach flavored soda. They don’t have Rock Creek beverages in California. So sad”

“Most everything I get from here is good. Even the sushi rolls are decent. Prices are very reasonable even though they should update their menu to reflect the new prices. They have gone up at least $1 on everything, but you don't know until your total doesn't add up correctly. I'd suggest that they tape 1 menu with new pricing to the counter so people know what they're paying. The ladies are nice, food is always tasty and hot. Not the first place I would think of to dine in. Even though it's always clean, the setup is outdated and is more of cafeteria style than restaurant.”
