“The place appears a bit off the beaten path when you get to it, but fortunately there is parking and it’s easy to find. Was welcomed by the bartender who served as the waiter, cashier, host and generally Jack of all trades. I even thought he was going to be making our meal. Fortunately the chef was busy in the back and clearly knew the craft. There are not enough good things to say about the meal which started off with an appetizer of authentic Kenyan sausages, which are the best in the world, hands-down. This was then followed by goat curry (mbuzi) with kale (sukuma wiki) and ugali (maizemal) which tasted as if it had been made straight from a kitchen back in Nairobi. They even had fresh pili pili (green hot pepper) on the side for that extra kick. Will definitely visit again and wash the meal down with the frothy waters of Belgium. The seating was comfortable and the televisions were not too loud. They even had a pool table for those so inclined to mix games with a good meal.Definitely top five in my book & is highly recommended. Will have to try something else from the menu next time.“
“Food was good. 4.5 stars for the Reuben , it was a very well made Reuben. Homemade Sweet Tea was perfect. Friend got the chicken teriyaki with fried rice(not listed on the menu) he gave 4.7 stars. He said it was amazing just need more teriyaki sauce. Highly recommend this place.“
“I meet friends in this nice place often! This is my favorite place to eat. I go to this spot at least once a month. The food is great, the staff members are helpful and the rates are fair. I enjoy meeting in this restaurant to have a tasty supper.“
“1st time going there this past Friday and the atmosphere was very nice and chill. The food was good, but due to some food restrictions, I couldn't eat a lot. The broccolini and okra were deliciou. Service and Servers were great. I shall be back.“
“When indecisive, go for the chefs table which includes all of the apps but also an extra tasting per course. Aside from the food which was near perfect, the ambiance is very unique outside dining in a semi enclosed courtyard, railyard bar, and dining in a lodge-like room with fireplace. Some of my favorite dishes were the veggies, surprising because I'm more of a meat eater. Cocktails were excellent but do ask the bartender since not all liquor is documented. Wine list is extensive“
“Had dinner before the Oh He Dead concert on Saturday December 17, 2022. We arrived a little before our seating and immediately were greeted and taken to our spots. Ian was outstanding! He was attentive, descriptive and helped create a good experience. Dan, our bartender, was magnificent. He created delectable cocktails and we also chatted along the way (we had bar seats which I highly recommend). This was very reasonably priced, we left very filled and happy. I want to give the highest possible compliments to Ian and Dan. The entire experience was perfect, largely because of the great food, but they took the experience well beyond a 1 star evening!“
“Friendly and knowledgeable staff, in a unique atmosphere. Residents has a chill vibe and a Menu that changes with the seasons. Love the small bites. Highly recommend the baby artichokes on the Summer menu! Visited in Summer and Fall of 2022… Residents never disappoints! Highly recommend.“
“The restaurant with the most history in Washington, next to The White House, has fed many of the US presidents.Very good service, quality and size of the dishes. We did not lack water in the glass at any time. We ordered two main dishes to share and they brought them to us divided, 2 plates for each one, which was a great detail. They serve traditional American food. The oysters rockefeller are delicious, the 1/2 chicken was very juicy, and the trout parmigiana is one of their star dishes.A great restaurant for your trips to Washington DC.Book in advance, it's huge but always full.Kid-friendliness: They are welcome“
“Tashawn made my friend and I’s experience 10Xs better than it already was. He was attentive, charming, and funny! Not only were the lemon ricotta pancakes and truffle fries amazing, the overall experience was as well! Def recommend The Pembroke for brunch ???“
“I love Remington's. The service is always great. The food is amazing... especially their pizza! I got the steak-n-cheese pizza this time. The sweet potato fries and the dipping sauce were on point. I took a picture of the fries and crushed the pizza (so there was no picture). Everyone is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is inviting.Parking: There are spaces all around the building. Sometimes, it can get a little tight, so you may have to park on the street.“
