“Quick delivery and the food is delicious, I've found. I am very particular with how I like my food prepared ( I cant have salt or pepper) and they are ALWAYS accommodating when I ask for my food to not prepared with it or added afterwards. My only reason for editing my review from 5 stars to 4 is because you must have cash now for delivery which is most inconvenient as I NEVER have cash so I can no longer have a quick bite. I must now ask others if they can pick up my order on their way to visit me and it's rude to eat in front of guests so it's not once in a blue moon when I place an order.I think they should reinstate placing delivery orders by debit card.?... maybe just for local delivery or to houses only? ??♀️“
“Great food, great price, and generous serving sizes! Would definitely eat there again.:)“

“I was visiting from New Jersey and noticed the reviews. The hotel was a couple of blocks away, so walked there. The owner or manager was awesome. And even better, the pork rice bowl and dumplings were great and at a very nice price. I highly recommend.“

“Love this place! Happened upon it when I worked close by and went twice in one 3 days! The food is delicious, the ambiance is great, and their little server robot is adorable. The pork soup dumplings were the best I've had since returning to the states. Incredibly rich and meaty! Definitely check this place out!“

“This is in my top 3 takeout spots for the Crystal City area. The Mapo Tofu and Stone Pot Tofu Fish dishes are my favorites, but I haven't had anything bad yet. This is not your standard American style Chinese restaurant. The flavors are significantly more interesting. Be prepared for things to be spicy, in a terrific way.“

“Admittedly I’m inflating my rating because it’s hard to find good, not overly Western fusion-ed, Asian food in DC. I wouldn’t (and can’t) go anywhere else for dry pot and veg mapo tofu. Didn’t care for the dumplings I’ve tried so far but I will definitely continue working my way through the menu. I very much appreciate that this place exists on H St!“

“Great Dining Experience at Chang Chang!
I recently dined at Chang Chang, and it was a great experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting and stylish, setting the perfect mood for a memorable meal.
Food: The menu is a delightful fusion of flavors, showcasing both traditional and contemporary Asian cuisine. We tried the Sichuan Spicy Dumplings and the Korean BBQ Beef, and both were outstanding. The ingredients were fresh, and each dish was a harmonious blend of spices and textures.
Service: The service was impeccable. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, and made excellent recommendations, ensuring our dietary preferences were met without compromising on taste.
Ambiance: The decor is modern with a touch of traditional elegance, making it a great place for both casual dining and special occasions. The lighting and seating arrangement added to the overall comfort and aesthetic appeal.
Value: While on the higher end, the prices are justified by the quality of food, service, and atmosphere. You get what you pay for – a top-notch dining experience.
In summary, Chang Chang is a gem for anyone who appreciates fine dining with a creative twist on Asian cuisine. I highly recommend it and look forward to my next visit!“

“Placed a pick up order for some edamame, dumplings and Thai curry chicken and it was all amazing but what made the experience everything was the daughter of the owners. She had some jokes and had me cracking up. If the owners read this keep her in front she’s a breath of fresh air. Will return“

“Amazing place for some authentic Halal Chinese cuisine! We tried Hakka lomein spicy, shrimp fried rice and both were delicious! The service was amazing and owners r very friendly and accommodating.
First time we went there for lunch dine in, the owner gave us free desi chai on the house and second time, the owner gave us drinks on the house.
We're hooked to this place and my wifey and I plan to eat here at least once I week!“

“Very clean and great decor, instagram worthy!! The food was simply AMAZING. Authentic and full of flavor and quality. They make the bread buns for the burgers in house ?? I live 45 minutes away and will be back for sure. 100% worth fighting the traffic to get here and I mean that. Also they have some great drink options. The watermelon lime soda was so cute and very tasty!
Parking: Free street parking just behind the block it’s on“

“Since Eastern Gourmet has opened it has become our go-to for great Chinese takeout. We have ordered an extensive amount of the menu and there aren't any dishes that haven't blown us away. The food is amazing, the service is attentive, and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.“

“Finally found my Chinese spot! From VA to MD, this is the BEST Chinese food I’ve had. Everything was fresh and hot! Prep time was quick, they were friendly even though they were busy with a slew of call in orders and pickups.
Tried the general tso, shrimp fried rice, fries, spring rolls and wings plus the blue lemonade. Everything was delicious and the price point is great as well!
I can’t wait to get back and try more of their menu.“

“Mid-scale? I would not describe this place as fancy but the atmosphere is more thoughtful than a basic carry out place (the trees are nice, but maybe the tables are too close together). The food however is almost just slightly better than your standard carry out place. That being said, the prices are also comparable to a carry out place -- so it's affordable, comfy, cute enough to dine in, and they have all day happy hour drinks for $7 (or bottomless for $18). They forgot one of our dishes but otherwise the service was fine. I made a reservation but you do not need it from what I could tell (we came on a busy Saturday night and they had plenty of open seats still). They offer dim sum but it's not necessarily traditional if you're looking for that, ie, no carts, some variation or absence in the dish offerings.“

“This is some seriously good Ameri-Chinese food. Fresh, flavorful, great portions—all for a respectable price. Yes, it’s carry-out only. Assuming that’s why they’re able to keep the prices so low. But I loved swinging by here on my way home because the family who owns the place are so, so sweet.“

“I had a taste for some carryout food so I decided to try this spot. I ordered fries with mumbo sauce and a cheeseburger. The mumbo sauce was good. The burger was good as well. I will be going back there again when I have a taste for carryout food.“

“General tso's chicken was actually crispy. For once, I ate the entire chicken with broccoli dinner combo. Perhaps the best chinese-american restaurant for the area, but that standard varies with your taste, sauce preference, spiciness, etc ??♀️“

“I think this place needs higher stars. We're visiting from Florida and made our way to Chinatown and were looking for a decent place to eat. The food and service was excellent. Better than I expected. We ate the curry chicken which tasted like real curry. Sesame chicken was fresh and flavorful. The food came out quickly. I highly recommend this place.“

“The ONLY place in DC I get chinese food from. They have massive portions and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. I always get lo mein, seasame chicken, wonton soup and a taro boba tea. It lasts me for multiple meals which is perfect for my busy schedule. Also, the owner is an absolute gem of a human being. She takes alot of pride in her restaurant and it shows in her kindness, hospitality and delicious food. Thanks for keeping me full and happy!“

“Service was great and people were friendly. We went out of our way to try this place in hopes of finding “better”, but the food was not any different than any other take out Chinese food we’ve had and this place seemed more expensive. The thing I like most is their mambo sauce for wings- very good. We would probably go back if we were in the area.“

“Kenny’s is a really solid carry out. The food is good. Not a ton of space to sit, which is typical of most Chinese food spots in this region. What stands out most about Kenny’s is the service. Unlike others, they don’t treat their customers like criminals, or like they’re afraid of us. The door to the back area is frequently opened. The employees greet me with a smile every time and ask me how my day is going. They remember me. They’re really kind and respectful, and as a black man, it’s rare to get that kind of service at a carry out. They usually just yell and poke food through bullet proof glass like they’re feeding sharks. It’s great to be treated like a fellow human being. I recommend the donuts. They’re super addictive!“

“Really enjoyed the shrimp & eggplant hotpot, and the garlic chicken, which came with snowpeas and mushrooms. Paired with a pot of jasmine tea and sesame balls for dessert. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem - so glad a friend recommended it.

“I've been coming to China dynasty for at least 25 years I believe. One thing that I have found that I love that they have is they make a great steak and cheese sandwich. It's actually better than Ledo's . Very fast service. Was ready in 15 minutes. The staff is very courteous and just a wonderful family run place pick up food from. Give them a try they are really Great Americans as well!!“

“Trust me, the egg foo young is not greasy and really good... Right now they are my best place for egg foo young in all of DC. Egg patties are nicely cooked.... Gravy is also not dark brown or heavy (ask for it on the side to control your portion) Tasty ??“

“Takeout only. Cash only. You can call ahead to place a pickup order. Wide variety of food options. It's delicious, great size portions, and the prices aren't bad. This is the only Chinese food I eat within the DMV, I will, and I have traveled over an hour to get food from them.“

“I've ordered from this place sooo much. I always get the sashimi, I usually get the sashimi platter. This last time I got the sashimi appetizer + vegetable dumplings. I have learned that this is one of the sushi places that plays with the term, "white fish." Some places use it for white tuna, some use it for yellowtail etc. I got the sushimi appetizer as it was advertised as salmon, tuna, and white fish--my favorites, except not the white fish I wanted lol. This was more translucent, and half-pink. That was my gamble. Can't really tell what the white sashimi I get in the platter is, I think its white tuna, but I won't make the mistake again.Nice, solid slices of shaved ginger. Good if you're sick! I do wish the sashimi came with a condiment cup like the veggie dumplings did. Veggie dumplings were fine, nice and plump. Also love that the place is open late--I've been a night owl my whole life, so works for me!5 stars overall. I've only been in-person once, and it was very pleasant. You need to be let in, which doesn't take long. Lots of randos wandering around Chinatown so I get it.“

“They were very friendly. The food was really good! Prepared the food very fast. No issues. Very clean chinese resteraunt.
The owner even helped show me selections that were more traditionally chinese(Mandarin)
I ordered: Pepper steak + white rice ? AND General Tso’s chicken with fried rice AND an Eggroll.
Parking: You can pull up close to park, or park in the Capital One bank parking lot(AFTER HOURS, not during working hours[you’ll get towed! ?]).“

“If you love authentic dim sum, this is the spot for you. I’ve tried 5 different “dim sum” places in MoCo and this is by far the best.
Their main dishes are really good too. I love the dim sum too much that I rarely eat them but I’ve tried a couple and they’re spot on.
Very friendly staff and management as well.“

“Best Chinese food in town!! I travel about 15 mins just to come here when I'm in the mood for Chinese food. They have party wings of many types of flavors and they accommodate us picky flats only eaters. They're not pricey and the food is hot and fresh to order.“

“I get why people love this place but it's just not my thing. Don't let me stop you from enjoying some great Hong Kong style Chinese food, because it's obviously a popular spot.
The service is great, the price is right, and the vibe feels like a Shaw Brothers movie from the 80's. Pay them a visit.“

“I'll start out with saying this is not a traditional dim sum restaurant so this review is not to compare it to places like China Garden or AJs. Han Palace's all you can eat option is called their tasting menu and I think THAT is an accurate description.
And I really enjoyed it!! For $35pp, you can get a lot of solid options for dumplings, noodles, fried rice and congee. For the two of us, I thought that was the best deal. Option B is $48 and opens access to their whole menu to include their roast items which is great. I would only do this option if I was very hungry or if I had a larger group as I don't think I would have been able to eat my money's worth.
I won't list everything we tried but I will say their dumplings were acceptable but not as good as traditional dim sum places. We tried their beef dry chow and the veg lo mein and both were excellent.
Service was quick, not un-friendly, and the ambiance was adorable. Will definitely be back and with friends!!“

“I was new to the area and had no idea where anything was located. But I knew that this place was right around the corner. They would take my order (same thing : general Tsos chicken and white rice) within 10 mins before closing several times for me. I was so appreciative….considering they are often open late when everything else is closed. They tried to refuse a cash tip until I said I would never return if they didn’t accept it lol.
Which was a total lie. I would return regardless. Just writing this review is making me consider placing another order ? the foods great
Dietary restrictions: If you have dietary restrictions I wouldn’t recommend eating Chinese food.
Parking: Parking is limited because there’s so many little establishments but it’s not impossible to find a spot. You just need to pay close attention for one that’s available.
Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn’t want to eat Chinese food? I mean it’s not Chuck-E-Cheese so it’s not a restaurant equipped with a children’s play area. And it’s set up as a quick, come and go. But the food itself is kid friendly.
Wheelchair accessibility: You can access the establishment via wheelchair“

“I've been getting takeout here somewhat regularly for almost 10 years I think. The people that run the place are always friendly. Highly recommend the chicken & broccoli (with white rice), shrimp fried rice, or lo mein. Note that the fried rice is heavier on the onions and lighter on the peas/sprouts compared to other places, which I prefer. It ain't fancy but fancy is overrated and this hits the spot.“

“My go to chinese carryout place. Best place for chicken wings or other chicken pieces to eat as well and the fried rice. I tried fried rice from dozens of other carryouts and nothing comes close to their rice. Steak and cheese is the best and others dishes are great as well. Only problem is it's cash only other then that food is great.Btw ask for the hot sauce if you get fried chicken. The sauce is strong but goes well with the chicken!“
