“This place is in competition with two other fast food places. It was the first one there and will be there when the rest of them are gone. The food is average at best but trying the other two places you'd do yourself an injustice. STOP check out the food it's what you get for your money“

“I love Hunan East! The food is really delicious and the delivery service is reasonably fast. Order by phone and pick up is the best. Everything is so fresh.My favorite items are the shrimp egg foo young, egg rolls, the fried chicken wings are outstanding and so is the Vegetable fried rice and half and half tea. The people that eork there are so nice. You can't go wrong.“

“I went to the Silverhill Rd location the young man was polite rude and it was 11:30 and they didn't have much of a selection. Looks like they were getting rid of left over food from the day before. I got Beijing beef it was tough more vegetables than beef & I had to ask for more of that and my orange chicken was dry ????Waste if time & money“

“I took my out of town cousin here for a special experience and it did not disappoint! The service was thoughtful, fun and knowledgeable. The wine and cocktails were superb. The food was delicious and every bite was better than the next and the small dining room is cozy and fun! I will be back.“

“Finally found my Chinese spot! From VA to MD, this is the BEST Chinese food I’ve had. Everything was fresh and hot! Prep time was quick, they were friendly even though they were busy with a slew of call in orders and pickups.

Tried the general tso, shrimp fried rice, fries, spring rolls and wings plus the blue lemonade. Everything was delicious and the price point is great as well!

I can’t wait to get back and try more of their menu.“

“Since Eastern Gourmet has opened it has become our go-to for great Chinese takeout. We have ordered an extensive amount of the menu and there aren't any dishes that haven't blown us away. The food is amazing, the service is attentive, and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.“

My favorites are the Shrimp and Broccoli, General Tso Shrimp and Crab Ragoons.

In addition I’ve only had the Orange chicken, beef and broccoli, shrimp fried rice, shrimp lomein, and sweet and sour chicken which were all good.“

“General tso's chicken was actually crispy. For once, I ate the entire chicken with broccoli dinner combo. Perhaps the best chinese-american restaurant for the area, but that standard varies with your taste, sauce preference, spiciness, etc ??‍♀️“

“I think this place needs higher stars. We're visiting from Florida and made our way to Chinatown and were looking for a decent place to eat. The food and service was excellent. Better than I expected. We ate the curry chicken which tasted like real curry. Sesame chicken was fresh and flavorful. The food came out quickly. I highly recommend this place.“

“Kenny’s is a really solid carry out. The food is good. Not a ton of space to sit, which is typical of most Chinese food spots in this region. What stands out most about Kenny’s is the service. Unlike others, they don’t treat their customers like criminals, or like they’re afraid of us. The door to the back area is frequently opened. The employees greet me with a smile every time and ask me how my day is going. They remember me. They’re really kind and respectful, and as a black man, it’s rare to get that kind of service at a carry out. They usually just yell and poke food through bullet proof glass like they’re feeding sharks. It’s great to be treated like a fellow human being. I recommend the donuts. They’re super addictive!“

“I've ordered from this place sooo much. I always get the sashimi, I usually get the sashimi platter. This last time I got the sashimi appetizer + vegetable dumplings. I have learned that this is one of the sushi places that plays with the term, "white fish." Some places use it for white tuna, some use it for yellowtail etc. I got the sushimi appetizer as it was advertised as salmon, tuna, and white fish--my favorites, except not the white fish I wanted lol. This was more translucent, and half-pink. That was my gamble. Can't really tell what the white sashimi I get in the platter is, I think its white tuna, but I won't make the mistake again.Nice, solid slices of shaved ginger. Good if you're sick! I do wish the sashimi came with a condiment cup like the veggie dumplings did. Veggie dumplings were fine, nice and plump.Also love that the place is open late--I've been a night owl my whole life, so works for me!5 stars overall. I've only been in-person once, and it was very pleasant. You need to be let in, which doesn't take long. Lots of randos wandering around Chinatown so I get it.“

Parking: You can pull up close to park, or park in the Capital One bank parking lot(AFTER HOURS, not during working hours[you’ll get towed! ?]).“

“Best Chinese food in town!! I travel about 15 mins just to come here when I'm in the mood for Chinese food. They have party wings of many types of flavors and they accommodate us picky flats only eaters. They're not pricey and the food is hot and fresh to order.“

“A diamond in the rough. No I really mean it. The restaurant is located in a worn down ghetto strip plaza. They must have been robbed in the past due to the plexiglass barrier. Order ahead online or over phone.

I got 6 different meals for a family lunch and the food was delicious. The portions were huge. There were enough left overs to cover dinner too.

The wait time was short and the staff were friendly. I highly recommend it.“

“I'll start out with saying this is not a traditional dim sum restaurant so this review is not to compare it to places like China Garden or AJs. Han Palace's all you can eat option is called their tasting menu and I think THAT is an accurate description.

And I really enjoyed it!! For $35pp, you can get a lot of solid options for dumplings, noodles, fried rice and congee. For the two of us, I thought that was the best deal. Option B is $48 and opens access to their whole menu to include their roast items which is great. I would only do this option if I was very hungry or if I had a larger group as I don't think I would have been able to eat my money's worth.

I won't list everything we tried but I will say their dumplings were acceptable but not as good as traditional dim sum places. We tried their beef dry chow and the veg lo mein and both were excellent.

Service was quick, not un-friendly, and the ambiance was adorable. Will definitely be back and with friends!!“

“We've been eating here for over 20 years and it has always been good. It is recently under new management and the way some items are prepared has changed, but still very tasty -- just a new twist on an old favorite. The one thing the new management needs is someone who knows their way around a bar. The people there this week had a very limited range of knowledge about drinks (gin on the rocks got a blank look), but once you explained they happily made a very acceptable drink.“

“5 stars for the beef noodle soup - soup is delicious and beef is so tender it falls apart when you pick it up with chopsticks.

Wontons are delicate and delicious, if a bit salty. The dumplings are alright, skin is a bit too thick. The pork burger is alright. Broccoli is a pass - seasoning is patchy and too vinegary. Would definitely come back for the noodles.“

“The soup is amazing!! The soup does have a hint of lemon flavor, with orzo rice, chunks of chicken, carrots, and other vegetables in it. The pork chop meal is really good, especially when Ms. Karimi submits my special request!! The orzo rice is extremely soft, very good, and flavorful. The roasted potatoes are dangerously good and seasoned well. On Gyro Wednesday the gyros are $6.00. The tzaiki sauce is excellent to the taste, and pairs very well on the Greek salad, pork chops, and best with the roasted garlic potatoes!!!

Parking: Pay extremely close to where you park, and when you park due to the varied parking restrictions in the city.“

“*New owners September 2022**First, this place is CLEAN. It smells clean and looks clean. The staff is really friendly and attentative. The food is good but expensive for that I got. I got seafood mac and cheese $15 and not much seafood or seafood taste but it was tasty. I came at 5:30 pm on a Friday. Not many people here at this time. “We’ve had a hard time finding a go to Chinese restaurant in the area. We’ve ordered from here a few times, most recently moo goo gai pan and triple delight. Food was cooked to perfection (meat was tender, veggies were both soft & crispy), but lacks some of the typical Chinese veggies like water chestnuts and baby corn. Good balance of vegetables and meat, large portions.“

“It’s a takeout restaurant with no seating. The ordering area is clean and well lit.
The customer service is really really good. They talk to you respectfully on the phone, which I really appreciate.
I ordered shrimp and broccoli as well as orange chicken and I really liked both. The shrimp are big and juicy and they give you a good portion. The broccoli is crisp and fresh, I actually ordered twice in a week. The fried rice is okay, I’ll ask for eggs and veggies in it next time.
They also have decent prices!!
I’m very picky when it comes to Chinese food, and they are yet to disappoint me.
I will definitely be back.
