“In an area saturated with “carry out” it is nice to have an actual tasty Chinese Restaurant.“

“Lmao .. I'm not even gonna lie .. I think this place deserves a higher rating than it actually has .. and I'll tell you why .. I was reluctant on going inside to actually order something I normally order from different places .. but long story short, after reading a comment/review on how GREAT/SUPERB the Shrimp Egg Foo Young is at this place I got interested and had to try it out for myself .. and I'm not gonna lie that person that left that review DID NOT LIE LMAO .. it lives up to its reputation 🔥💯😋 .. I will most DEFINITELY be back to order it again .. this place makes it the best in this area of the DMV and ive tried Shrimp Egg Foo Young from a lot of different places in the DMV area and its been awhile since ive tried one that tastes as good and traditional as this one .. when i took a first bite i immediately had a flashback to when I was a kid and my mom used to buy this and share with me and my sister .. where she got it from then idk but i digress .. but yeah man definitely go shop with them and get the Shrimp Egg Foo Young .. its delicious .. i wish i wouldve took pictures but it was so good i wasnt even thinking .. before i knew it, there was nothing left lmao .. but anyway last thing i wanna say is .. if a Chinese Carryout only has one size for something they are selling that most of the time means its bomb dot com haha ! That hotpot was smokin and I thought I choose a milder one but it was excellent in taste for me. The food was delicious, bubble tea flavors and pearls were fresh and simple. I would say it leans more toward an America flavor pallet depending on your selection but Im sure there are some sophisticated options if that's where your pallet tends to lean.

I got the chai latte light sugar&ice and my hubby greatly enjoyed Starla's PineappleMango suggestion. So yummy, so fun.

I love the bright decor and semi-exclusive dining options; certainly would love to meet the family here during an outing.

The bathroom was super clean and had a large mirror great for freshening up.

Certainly would recommend for DC visitors.

I got the Lucky dumpling back. Personal favorite of the bunch was the black Truffle so I know next visit which basket I'll lean more toward.

✨️BONUS: Their bowl, cups and utensil charger had a very elegant weight to them which was incredibly comforting and added a coziness to the experience.

“Excellent, efficient and clean establishment. Food was ready when I walked in to pick it up at 10-15 min after I placed the order. The Tejas BBQ brisket taste was fantastic. The SriPraPhai drunken noodles with tofu was so-so. Its taste profile was more like Pad Thai than drunken noodles I have had from prior restaurants, so would not get this again. The taste wasn't bad, but not what I expected. Overall, I would still return and try this food concept chain again (similar to a food court in a mall with many restaurant options but with a small pick up window and assembly room in the back).“

“Absolutely delicious food! I first came here six years ago for my husband’s birthday after hearing about the restaurant from a foodie. It’s an unpretentious spot with incredibly good food. We ordered 10+ different dishes that first time and loved everything, especially the dan dan noodles and the pork bun. Nothing can ever compare to their Dan Dan noodles no matter how many times we order them from different restaurants!

We moved far away after a few years, but when we came back to visit friends this month, this was the first restaurant we wanted to return to. The food was just as delicious as it was six years ago. Highly recommend!“

It is recently under new management and the way some items are prepared has changed, but still very tasty -- just a new twist on an old favorite. The one thing the new management needs is someone who knows their way around a bar. The people there this week had a very limited range of knowledge about drinks (gin on the rocks got a blank look), but once you explained they happily made a very acceptable drink.“

“This is a nice reminder of what authentic Chinese food taste like. We tried slices beef with peppers, spring rolls, egg drop soup, and chicken fried rice. Everything was piping hot and well flavored.

The only thing to be modified is the time it took to take drink orders and the order of food delivery (the preference is for appetizers to come out before the meal but asking the customer if all is desired together is good).

The venue is spacious, the light is well balanced and it has nice music playing juat enough to set the scene for authentic cuisine. We will definitely be back when we return to DC.“

The burrata was really fresh and I enjoyed the pesto pizza. From Di Fara pizza, I ordered the pepperoni, sausage and meatball pizza. Not sure if it was dough or the pizza was undercooked, but I wish there was more of a crisp to the crust. I found myself chewing longer than expected.

In the past, Ive tried other Chinese places and the concerns I've had were the food isn't hot its always warm or cold and that the taste of the food decreased. “Extremely good Szechuan food for Chinese takeout prices. Even the normal American Chinese takeout items like the pork fried rice noodles has some extra flavor, and the more specialized items like the dry hot pot are excellent examples of Szechuan cooking. On busy days like holidays, give them some extra time but otherwise it's a reasonable turnaround on take out orders. There's no seating at the restaurant, but you can save money by ordering direct and paying cash.“
