“Based on reviews wasn't gonna stop , went in the cashier / lady taking order was actually very friendly unlike the previous reviews - maybe because i was a new face ! A lot of regulars seem to frequent this business . They were out of wings which was disappointing , however their lo neon was very good , had a different taste from others and wasn't dry almost a wet consistency but very good and fresh !“
“This spot on H St Corridor is hands down my favorite. The drinks, service, and food consistently impress. The ambiance is wonderfully moody with dim lighting and great background music. I always opt for the vegan version of the beef noodles, which are consistently flavorful and delicious. The bartenders are not only friendly but also knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations. I appreciate that they maintain an accessible archive of past menus, allowing guests to order from a wide range of drink options. Despite its small size and the place sometimes getting crowded, outdoor seating and an extra bar on the back patio provide additional space.“
“Amazing location for private events. Staff was very professional and provided great service. We enjoyed the ability to have a customized menu with themed drink names and a great array of food options including passed appetizers and buffet style serving. Our guests loved the atmosphere and vibe of the venue. Thank you Bar Chinois for helping us have a successful event!“
“I am working my way through the menu and got a delivery order for dinner - this time I tried a variety of vegetarian and meat dishes - I recommend starting off with a soup, the shrimp winton soup was delicate, comforting on a cold night. The crispy beef had great sauce but the beef did not stay crispy like I expected. Dan dan noodles were the perfect texture and temperature but didn't come with a sauce as pictured. The pan fried bao had rich pork filing, good texture and a crispy underside. Mapo tofu, again great flavor but I was expecting some texture to the dish besides the tender silky tofu. Excellent spice level.“
“I had a random craving for Chinese one night so I took a leap of faith and tried China Cafe Carryout for the first time, due to its reviews and I was not disappointed.I ordered the orange chicken, white rice, and a egg roll and my cravings were well satisfied. They did not hold back on the portion size either. I had enough for dinner and lunch the next day. My only issue was they only accepted cash. As someone who doesn't carry cash, I became discouraged but strangely enough, they accepted CashApp so I was able to pay for my food. There was a ATM inside the restaurant also though I had no intention in using it. I highly recommend though! Just remember, if you don't have CashApp or aren't comfortable with using a random ATM, then take cash!“
“Great food hall for a quick bite or to link with friends or family. A bar in center, with booths throughout dining area.Variety of Asian foods familiar and authentic cultural cuisine , great way to try something new in an open environment.“
“This Chinese restaurant is very clean and decorated nicely. The food is freshly prepared with fresh ingredients. I called in my order, everything was correct and it was ready when I got there to pick it up. I've had there food before and I have never been disappointed . Best Chinese restaurant in the area between Suitland MD, Clinton MD and Fort Washington MD.Parking: Parking lot parking, plenty of spaces out front of establishment.“
“Great food here. I've had the beef and chicken burgers, the knife-cut noodles with tofu, and the eggplant, potato and pepper noodles. Everything is delicious. It's a very no-frills environment inside, so don't expect anything fancy, but the food is excellent. Do be prepared to be tasting garlic all day after your meal.“
“About time I review CHIKO. They recently reopened Barracks Row location for inside dining, and I’m thrilled. I’ve been coming here pretty regularly since they opened back in 2017, and it’s definitely one of my favorite spots in DC. My favorite dishes are the brisket and confit duck fried rice, but everything on the menu is fantastic. If you see something new (and you will), give it a shot because they definitely put a lot of creative energy and care into their dishes.Oh yeah, and their take out bags are adorbs.“
“I've been looking for a good spot for the last two years and I think I found it. Food is good, customer service is great! I'm so happy that the chicken doesn't taste like rubber (like other places) and the food has flavor-I've really been missing out. I'm so happy and totally recommend anyone to come here. Great food!“
“Ok - so I've honestly turned my nose up at this place in recent years because it feels like people love it for the novelty (it's in a Days Inn motel) and not the food. But real talk, I ordered the cumin lamb, and I put in the notes: "I AM ASIAN PLEASE MAKE VERY SPICY" - and Panda Gourmet delivered. I was hurting, and it was so good. Their cumin lamb was so flavorful and sooooo spicy. It honestly rivals Bobs Shanghai in Rockville (which is very high praise because I'm obsessed with theirs). Panda Gourmet's mapo tofu is a lil weak, but next time, I'll put the same note on it too and maybe they'll kick it up a notch.“

“Trust me, the egg foo young is not greasy and really good... Right now they are my best place for egg foo young in all of DC. Egg patties are nicely cooked.... Gravy is also not dark brown or heavy (ask for it on the side to control your portion) Tasty ??“
“I ordered 100 wing for my daughter 1st birthday party and when I mean the wing were bomb and Wendy was so kind and she had my food ready in timely matter and also she gave my baby girl a fresh slice of cheese cake thanks Wendy you and you staff keep up great “
“So tasty, what a gem!! I ordered the CURRY LAKSA NOODLE Soup, pictured. It can be all plant based - I asked for mushrooms, spinach and broccoli to be added/substituted for the chicken, and with no hesitation they accommodated me! I'm so pleased with this Union Station fast casual option, located on the second level. If you take the stairs opposite the Amtrak ticket counter, you'll find it with big open air seating. This dish also includes tofu, vegetables, rice sticks & egg noodle combination in a coconut curry broth, with bean sprouts, fresh! green beans, and corn. Amazing, and spicy warm. They have non spicy foods, too. I'll upload the current menu.“
“This is my absolute favorite spot in DC for Asian food! Their cooked dishes are very good and their Japanese sushi menu is amazing. It is very affordable and they give very generous portions! They are also so friendly here and the atmosphere is very cute“
“We've been eating here for over 20 years and it has always been good. It is recently under new management and the way some items are prepared has changed, but still very tasty -- just a new twist on an old favorite. The one thing the new management needs is someone who knows their way around a bar. The people there this week had a very limited range of knowledge about drinks (gin on the rocks got a blank look), but once you explained they happily made a very acceptable drink.“
“I love this place and the food is gread. I've been coming here since I was in high school. It's been a long time and I always ordered chicken wing. French fries or Fried Rice with Mayonnaise and ketchup. And the lady there takes detail of everyone of her customers orders. So if you like a regular she knows what you want when you get in there. Very friendly woman. 10 out of 10 recommend.“
“Damn good Chinese food. Local spot too! All the food I've ever ordered from here was not only fresh, but exceptionally great portions. Highly recommend their vegetable eggs rolls & their General Tso chicken. You won't be disappointed!“
“This is my 1st time at Danny’s. I’ve always driven past it but would say it’s a nice hole in the wall kind of place. I couldn’t be more pleased with their service. They were very friendly, provided quick service and great portions of food at a reasonable price. I has their General Tso’s Chicken and a steak and cheese egg roll. It did not disappoint! I will definitely be coming back to try other items on their menu.“
“Wow!! Absolutely delicious food! I don’t usually have high expectations with unlimited dimsum, so we were pleasantly surprised! The food quality was very good, and so tasty. Not watered down American dimsum, tasted like authentic Hong Kong style cooking! I highly recommend the panfried seafood noodles, roast pork buns, roast bbq pork, snow peas, and duck ? Our server Chen was super attentive, timing all our dishes right when we were ready for the next round, very amiable, and gave overall great customer service! The place is on the small side, but is very tastefully decorated. Can’t wait to go back!Kid-friendliness: They have reduced prices for kids.“
“I wanted to share my thoughts on the food and service at ST⭐️R carryout is A1. Overall, I have to say that I love it. The quality of the food and the level of service are exceptional. However, I do have some concerns about the location. It seems to be a bit inconsistent. Some days it's great, but other times I find myself hesitating to go there. I think it's something worth considering.“
“Service was great and people were friendly. We went out of our way to try this place in hopes of finding “better”, but the food was not any different than any other take out Chinese food we’ve had and this place seemed more expensive. The thing I like most is their mambo sauce for wings- very good. We would probably go back if we were in the area.“
“placed an order online & the food was ready in about 15 mins. the guy that was working that night was friendly. the steak & cheese egg rolls were okay but a little dry. they would be perfect if they came with some kind of sauce to dip them in. the orange chicken was flavorful. the crab rangoons & shrimp fried rice were 10/10. i would definitely order from here again.“
“Food was fresh, not too salty or saturated with sauce, which is how I like it. Customer service was good over the phone and in person. The kitchen was not overly cluttered with stuff and it looked clean. I will be going back. I got to see how they cook their general tso chicken. I hope it has more chicken inside and less batter.“
“The food is so good. Best shrimp fried rice and chicken wings in the city. They have the real Mumbo sauce!! I hate going there because of the location. Sketchy as hell! People hanging out front smoking/selling weed. Looks like something can pop off at any second so call ur food in ahead of time pick up and go!! But the food is delicious!“
“Ok now this is the greatest Chinese restaurant in the DMV area. I have lived in the DMV pretty much my entire life & have eaten at dozens of Chinese restaurants and I still say that Jacky Chans is the best. Been coming to this spot almost 20 years now & it is STILL top notch. The French Fries alone will tell you about the quality of food here. Make sure you get the chicken wings with french fries and add salt pepper & mumbo sauce on everything. This is the classic that everyone should start out with. A few of the other amazing things on the menu consists of Chicken Sandwich Jumbo Cheeseburger with bacon Steak & Cheese 10 piece nuggets General Tsos Chicken Beef & Broccoli & Hunan Shrimp Best Chinese restaurant, don't forget it“
“I've been going to them for years at the Landover Road location. I wanted to try out this new one. I got the shrimp egg foo young. It's was cooked to order and tasted fresh. Yes the location is in a rough area, but you can see the kitchen from the window and it appears clean inside. It's worth it if you like Chinese cuisine. They have pleasant customers services and quick.“
“Excellent!! Finally found a good Asian restaurant in the area. Everything we ordered was a 10/10. Sweet and sour chicken and white meat orange chicken were the best. Huge selection, and it was finished fast. Place was also packed with people who ordered to-go, so clearly it’s the best spot in town. Loved it!!“
“I rarely write reviews but I have to give this place credit. They have really good food. I'm vegetarian so I usually get the Tofu dishes. There are no weird aftertaste or smells like the food from some of the other carry outs in the area. The vegetables are fresh and actually taste like vegetables. Lol. The cashier is isn't rude. I highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area.“
“Not too be to funny but it's a legit hood spot. It has some of the most famous Chinese dishes and then you got all the American stuff like fried chicken, shrimp ribs fish French fries. They make burgers and hoagie l. They sell beer, wine coolers and malt liquor. They are just selling what ever you want at 1 spot.“
“They advertise as selling American Chinese food, so they're transparent. The food is ok I've had authentic Chinese food this isn't it. But if you're hungry it'll do. The food is freshly made and is not bad. Honestly the Chinese food all taste the same from restaurant to restaurant. I go there every so often so I would still recommend it.“
“Chinese carryout is pretty good. I usually always get the same thing with slight variations. 5pc wings with fries or shrimp fried rice, mumbo sauce on everything. Sometimes I'll do fried shrimp with fries. We also have tried their veggie lo mein and that's really good. I'm never disappointed with these options. Only downside is they are cash only and no delivery.“
“We had the steak egg rolls and Singapore rice noodles (combination). The Singapore rice noodles were the best I've ever had anywhere, and I've tried this dish at many restaurants in the past, as it's one of my favorites. We also shared sushi, which was very tasty. The portions were all large enough to share. I would recommend this place and I'll definitely be going back when I'm in the area again.“
“Delicious wings. Came here twice. I ordered the honey j*** and honey lemon pepper wings which are delicious. I also ordered the fried rice. It tastes like Spanish rice in a box and it isn't that great. On my second visit, I played it safe and ordered fries. Very satisfied. This place is much better than America's Best Wings next door in both quality and taste.“
“Our two servers were delightful. Very sweet ladies, Jenny was one of them, and the food was delicious. Expensive but very good. I enjoyed it here, the mochi ice cream was different but fun and interesting. I recommend... just be prepared for the bill.. but it's worth “
“Had a late evening and decided to get carry out; ordered online and the food was made quickly and ready when we arrived. The workers were so kind and double checked our food to make sure we had everything before we left, (without even being asked to!). The portions were large and my Dad claims 'that was the best orange chicken I've ever had.' Would highly recommend and would eat here again!“
“I can't believe I've never reviewed this place as long as I've been getting my wings here. Real deal seasoned chicken wings... I know, from a carryout....but hey.*shrugs* Annnnnd they share a wall with a laundromat which further lessons expectations lol. In fairness, I think they own the laundromat too if I'm not mistaken. They sure got the WANGZ tho! Not sure why their wings are always slightly bigger than everybody else's but they got them here too. Oversized wings aren't unique to such carryouts though. They got the right tasting dark reddish orange colored mumbo sauce with the proper viscosity too, whereas quite a few places give you that overly sticky orange concoction that looks like duck sauce meets glue and tastes all wrong and is just exceedingly sweet. Eddie's mumbo is the right mix of sweet/tangy 'n heat. They actually changed it to that sweet orange stuff for a while and people complained (me too, I'm people) so much they changed back. They said their wholesaler stopped shipping. Apparently they found another option because I stopped going during that time period in protest. I get steak and cheese from here too and occasionally fish subs sometimes, but mostly wings because believe it or not I think they have the best ones in the area aside from the Amish Markets and if you're not interested in fast food like Popeyes or Royal Farms....or KFC hot wings. Those are good too. Pieces though, not whole wings. My in-laws used to send me for Eddies whenever they were in town visiting from the Caribbean. The wings are moist and tender with that inescapable steam burst that envelopes your senses when you crack open those first couple. Never overwhelmingly encrusted in breading or fried too hard...or underfried to an annoying mush where you can see the bumpy "chicken skin" look of feather removal. *gasps* Nope, not Eddie's. Never tiny, weird or broken or knarled little strange poultry wingding products so many places sell, but rather, always perfect, meaty, wonderfully seasoned and organized neatly in a styrofoam to-go box. Fried crisp and never too dry. I normally get my mumbo squeezed atop the wings before bagged so that it has a chance to soak in before I get to my destination. I then get a large cup on the side for dipping emergencies. Fu Jhin, aka "Rikki" with the BIG enthusiastic personality, normally works counter and playfully opens the conversation after hello with a simple, "how many wings?", whenever I call since she knows my voice (and likely has caller ID too). She knows I rarely order anything else and have ordered as many as 75 wings at a time. That's a lotta bird. Even asked me one time, "where you been?", after an extended wingless absence, lol. She's a hoot. Apologies for taking this long to tell you guys about these wings (surprisingly I don't even have pics of them in my phone which is rare) but I'll post pics next time I go for some. Get you some. Oh, and the fries are those frozen crinkly cuts which are pretty unremarkable in most settings usually. When I get them I normally have salt/pepper shaken then generous ketchup squeezed atop the hot fries just before she closes the container. The steam created inside makes the fries super moist by the time I get home....where I add my hot sauce to the menagerie. The fries make an awesome wing-man for this bird. (see what I did there). They even warm up well this way, where frozen fries seldom do. PS- They take credit cards but won't post signage and keep the machine hidden behind the counter since apparently they're not into credit card fees and prefer cash. You have to ask to use a card. Parking is usually ample and on site, but can become challenging with the laundromat folks next door sometimes especially on weekends, when people tend to do laundry.“
“Old faithful. Neighborhood carry out. I usually get chicken and broccoli, shrimp lo mein, shrimp fried rice, shrimp egg rolls, or wings with fried. Everything is really good to me. Now, I always have to go back and forth to the lady in the front about automatically putting mumbo sauce in the bag when I get wings and fries. You know where your restaurant is located? In the District of Columbia, you should automatically put mumbo sauce in the bag. I shouldn't have to ask. I feel like she does this on purpose to save money or something. Every. Time. Nonetheless...I always come back!“
“Good customer service. Good carryout. I got basic wings & fries with mumbo sauce and ketchup! It was good. I was satisfied. Also got beef and broccoli was told it was good! I'll be back to try something else. I'll keep y'all posted!?Parking isn't bad. You have options.“
“I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!The food is so fresh and the staff are so nice, it's a great place and you should check it out if you haven't already. One of my favorite item is the steak and cheese it's something I would die for!!!!!“
“One of the only Chinese take outs in the area. I bought lunch for the installers today and this is what they asked for. The prices are high for what it is. Maybe due to no competition and the ridiculous DC taxes. The guys liked the food.My feedback is this:-no reason to not improve the ordering area. It’s filled with posters of food options and pricing. Would not cost much to get a nicer menu presentation.-too many options on the menu, make a smaller menu and they’ll sell more-the employees are very nice and easy to understandGreat location and easy street parking. Opposite side of the street from 7-11. I would buy food again from here.Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian options, and you can’t guarantee that the kitchen doesn’t mix meats with veggies.Parking: Decently easy street parking.Kid-friendliness: No place to sit down and eat. Not a place to have kids hang out.“
“I went with the beef and broccoli lo mein and it was pretty good. I had to add a little more soy sauce but it was good. The hot chili oil was SPICY and I truly enjoyed it!!! I love anything spicy!!! Not all Chinese restaurants are good but this had some good food!!! I'd definitely order it again. I can only speak on how the food looked when it arrived since I ordered it from DoorDash. The food was well packaged. I'm haven't had Chinese in years but this was pretty good.“
“I enjoy coming to this restaurant for my Asian food. However, the area that it’s in is terrible. They have homeless people and drug attic‘s that hang out all the time and there’s a liquor store in the same shopping center so there’s always a ton of drunks running in and out of the building. There’s also a 7-Eleven in the same shopping center that is a hotbed for homeless people. Sometimes I prefer not to have to deal with these vagrants.“
“Love their Mei Fun Singapore. That is what I usually get. My husband and a friend their like Shrimp Egg Foo Young. Portions are good, I can usually make two meals from one order. When I get a large order of stir-fried veggies & rice, I can make four good-sized meals. I also like their hot and sour soupIt's a carryout...so zero ambience. Lots of loiterers on that corner also. I only go there during daylight and totally paying attention to everything and everyone around me, without appearing to do so.It appears clean, and the service is good.“
“The soup is amazing!! The soup does have a hint of lemon flavor, with orzo rice, chunks of chicken, carrots, and other vegetables in it. The pork chop meal is really good, especially when Ms. Karimi submits my special request!! The orzo rice is extremely soft, very good, and flavorful. The roasted potatoes are dangerously good and seasoned well. On Gyro Wednesday the gyros are $6.00. The tzaiki sauce is excellent to the taste, and pairs very well on the Greek salad, pork chops, and best with the roasted garlic potatoes!!!Parking: Pay extremely close to where you park, and when you park due to the varied parking restrictions in the city.“
“I've always liked this restaurant - they have their ups and downs with staffing and answering the phone but the food is always consistently good and fresh. They don't offer small portions for majority of their options and the large size is the same as most other Chinese takeout spots. I really like that it's a one stop shop that sells a wide variety of liquor and wine as well.“
“Great take out food. Delivery is always quick and food is always piping hot. Recommend trying Smoked salmon sushi, plain or spicy shrimp noodles, wonton soup, egg rolls beef and broccoli, sweet n sour chicken, wings, orange chicken, and shrimp fried rice.“
“I go to this superb restaurant often since I like the special atmosphere that is outline this place. The personel is exceptionally welcoming and professional. The service is impressively rapid. Needless to say, the food they cook is first-rate. I ate there often and I was never disappointed. The payment is modest. I recommend this place to my friends and family.“
