“Keeping in mind that I'm no expert in Chinese food AND so, I can only compare apples to apples, it's a decent restaurant. I have to say that it is definitely a lot more tasty than many other Chinese restaurants in the area. The veggies are not frozen or canned, there was real freshness to them. The guy at the counter was nice and friendly. Overall a good experience and plan to return.“

You walk into a real family business and although most people just order take out we decided to eat in.
The girl at the counter was cleaning tables and the floor and we were pleasantly surprised by the man who came with some water and to take our order.

Since it was busy it took a little bit longer but it did not disappoint!!
Served on a real plate, fresh hot and tasty.
The orange chicken sauce tasted like real oranges and reminded me of the orange duck in Spain.

The Lo Mein was perfect and customized to my dietary needs.“

“Best decision I made today was reconnecting to Chinese food again thanks to Eastern!! Not only are the deals and service amazing but the quality and taste of the food is phenomenal not to mention the quantity of the food is just mind blowing. I went for lunch and the first thing I noticed was how clean it was, I mean spick and span. As I walked up to pick up my food I was greeted with such kindness. “This was my first time ordering and I had a really great experience with Peking Express! I ordered online for takeout, and everything was ready when I arrived. I ordered the chicken lo mein, shrimp and broccoli, and shrimp fried rice, and everything was fresh and delicious. The portions were also really good!

My total came out to about $45 including the tip, and I even received 6 steamed dumplings for free! 🥟💕 That was such a nice touch they have online and definitely made the experience even better. “The tasty food is one thing BUT one thing which stood out for me is their great customer service. Jane and her other colleague were all smiles, kind and attentive. You can tell they love the job that they do. This is the kind of service you wanna comeback for more. I also appreciate that they're wearing a transparent mouth shield as it looks more neat than a regular mask. They offer free soup and coffee on top of your regular order which is great since it's winter around this time. I hope they can be consistent with their business approach and I wish their new store a success!“

“I've been a regular customer of Hunan Manor for many years. The food is always delicious and the owner and staff are always welcoming! The delivery service is quick. Although I have moved further away, Hunan Manor on Shenandoah Road is still my go-to Chinese restaurant. I am never disappointed.“

“Everything was hot and fresh, even being delivered 20mins away.

Spring rolls were good and crispy, though not your traditional flavor you expect.

Beef chow fun and sweet and sour chicken were both good as well. The chicken was high quality, cooked well, and there was a good meat to breading ratio.

The crab rangoon was good and plentiful, though not a hint of crab flavor was detected. Not enough of an issue to not order it again.

Overall, we will be back as it was the best fast Chinese we had had around here in the past several years.“

“The best takeout spot in Alexandria, without a doubt. The food is great especially for the price of the combo platters. I swear they must have figured out how to cook while driving because the food ALWAYS shows up as though it just came out of the pan while the drinks are ice cold in the same bag. Every. Single. Time. “Szechuan Delight has maintained over 30 years of consistent good food, unchanged great taste, quick customer service. I was living off beauregard st. behind the old shoppers in 1995 and working at my first job at arby's when I discovered Szechuan Delight. There were always very affordable and quick.. Items used to be around 5.95 or $6.95.. They have excellent lomein, hunan and szechuan dishes. However what is very unique to that restaurant is their Chicken & Hot Garlic dish. In course of time, after college, I moved to maryland, then florida, followed by long stay in europe. I have never found anything close that their chicken & hot garlic sauce dish.. Every chance I get to visit virginia, perhaps every few years, I try to stop at szechuan delight for that dish and even after 30 years, it still tastes exactly the same. I've looked up thousands of instructions and could never replicate it.. I hope my next visit, the chef might allow me to learn how to make that dish, so I can enjoy it while living in europe.“

“Jerry Chan's has been my favorite carryout for me since I first ate here in 10 years ago, in 2016. My go-to is their salt and pepper shrimp and shrimp egg rolls, which are amazing!!! The steamed white rice is always cooked to perfection. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. I recently made an Uber Eats order from Jerry Chan's because I didn't know if they independently deliver to my area, and Uber Eats got the order wrong!!! But the restaurant made me a complete New Order completely free of charge despite Uber Eats not being willing to assist or refund to me, and even stayed open later than usual so I could pick it up.“
