“Keeping in mind that I'm no expert in Chinese food AND so, I can only compare apples to apples, it's a decent restaurant. I have to say that it is definitely a lot more tasty than many other Chinese restaurants in the area. The veggies are not frozen or canned, there was real freshness to them. The guy at the counter was nice and friendly. Overall a good experience and plan to return.“

“We love Szechuan-style Chinese food, and this spot was a great find. It was casual, clean, and fast, with excellent quality and generous portions. The pork stir-fry in garlic sauce and flash-fried green beans with pickled cabbage were both super flavorful and paired really well together. The shrimp lo mein was delicious too. Overall, it was a great meal, and we’d definitely come back.“

“I placed a pick up order over the phone and staff was super nice and food was ready on time. The prices are also super reasonable for the amount of food you get. I’m going to give individuals ratings of everything I got below, but we ordered General Tsos, sweet-and-sour chicken and shrimp, shrimp egg foo young, beef and broccoli, combination lo mein, beef teriyaki sticks, egg rolls, crab cheese wontons, egg drop soup, and fried beef dumplings.

General Tsos: 4.5/5, had the exact flavor I’m looking for in this dish, but could have been a little spicier. They got a little soggy from the condensation, but still delicious.

Sweet and sour chicken and shrimp: 4/5, chicken and shrimp both had good flavor, but there were some pieces that were dry and hard like they were a bit old, but the softer pieces were really good and I like that they put the sauce on the side.

Shrimp egg foo young: 5/5, this was our first time trying this dish and we will definitely get it again. This had really good flavor and so did the gravy.

Beef and , the broccoli and meat were fine, but the sauce is missing something. It just didn’t have the flavor I’m used to and will not order again.

Combination lo mein: 5/5, pretty standard Chinese food lo mein but we had no issues with it and flavor was good.

Beef teriyaki sticks: 1/5, my mom really liked these, but I hated them. The flavor kind of reminds me of beef jerky, which is weird in a fresh meat item.

Egg rolls: 3/5, not the best I’ve had but passable. The taste is just a bit bland. They taste better dipped in the sweet and sour sauce.

Crab cheese wontons: 1/5, I already knew I wasn’t going to like them when I saw they were triangle shaped instead of the ones with the four points (iykyk). There was too much wonton and not enough filling in the filling itself had like no flavor.

Fried beef dumplings: 5/5, these were basically gyoza and flavor was pretty good.

Egg drop soup: 5/5, exactly the flavor I want in egg drop soup.

Although we didn’t love everything, the service, the prices, and the fact that we liked the majority of the items, I feel like they deserve five stars. Will definitely come back for my next Chinese food craving.“

“This was my first time ordering and I had a really great experience with Peking Express! I ordered online for takeout, and everything was ready when I arrived. I ordered the chicken lo mein, shrimp and broccoli, and shrimp fried rice, and everything was fresh and delicious. The portions were also really good!

My total came out to about $45 including the tip, and I even received 6 steamed dumplings for free! 🥟💕 That was such a nice touch they have online and definitely made the experience even better. My order was accurate, everything was packaged well, and the food was really tasty. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again!“

You walk into a real family business and although most people just order take out we decided to eat in.
The girl at the counter was cleaning tables and the floor and we were pleasantly surprised by the man who came with some water and to take our order.

Since it was busy it took a little bit longer but it did not disappoint!!
Served on a real plate, fresh hot and tasty.
The orange chicken sauce tasted like real oranges and reminded me of the orange duck in Spain.

The Lo Mein was perfect and customized to my dietary needs.“

Not only are the deals and service amazing but the quality and taste of the food is phenomenal not to mention the quantity of the food is just mind blowing. “The tasty food is one thing BUT one thing which stood out for me is their great customer service. Jane and her other colleague were all smiles, kind and attentive. You can tell they love the job that they do. This is the kind of service you wanna comeback for more. I also appreciate that they're wearing a transparent mouth shield as it looks more neat than a regular mask. They offer free soup and coffee on top of your regular order which is great since it's winter around this time. I hope they can be consistent with their business approach and I wish their new store a success!“

“I've been a regular customer of Hunan Manor for many years. The food is always delicious and the owner and staff are always welcoming! The delivery service is quick. Although I have moved further away, Hunan Manor on Shenandoah Road is still my go-to Chinese restaurant. I am never disappointed.“

“I’ve been a loyal fan of South China Restaurant on Mount Vernon Avenue for years, but I wanted to try something new tonight, so I ordered from Ho’s Chinese Carryout in Centre Plaza for the first time. The General Tso’s chicken was really good and a totally different style from what I usually get. The sauce was nice and light with a golden brown color, a hint of garlic, and a good kick of spice that didn't overwhelm. The chicken chunks were moist with a nice crunch on the outside. I liked the broccoli pieces in it, but I could’ve used a little more!

I placed a mobile order and the food was packed up and waiting for me when I walked in 10-15 minutes later. Fast service and a great first experience. I’ll definitely be back to try something else next time.“

“Jerry Chan's has been my favorite carryout for me since I first ate here in 10 years ago, in 2016. My go-to is their salt and pepper shrimp and shrimp egg rolls, which are amazing!!! The steamed white rice is always cooked to perfection. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. I recently made an Uber Eats order from Jerry Chan's because I didn't know if they independently deliver to my area, and Uber Eats got the order wrong!!! But the restaurant made me a complete New Order completely free of charge despite Uber Eats not being willing to assist or refund to me, and even stayed open later than usual so I could pick it up.“

“This is our go-to Chinese place. The food is good, and you get a lot of it for a very reasonable price. The menu is big, and there are a ton of vegetarian options. They also deliver for free and almost always arrive before their estimated time.“

“Szechuan Delight has maintained over 30 years of consistent good food, unchanged great taste, quick customer service. I was living off beauregard st. behind the old shoppers in 1995 and working at my first job at arby's when I discovered Szechuan Delight. There were always very affordable and quick.. Items used to be around 5.95 or $6.95.. They have excellent lomein, hunan and szechuan dishes. However what is very unique to that restaurant is their Chicken & Hot Garlic dish. In course of time, after college, I moved to maryland, then florida, followed by long stay in europe. I have never found anything close that their chicken & hot garlic sauce dish.. Every chance I get to visit virginia, perhaps every few years, I try to stop at szechuan delight for that dish and even after 30 years, it still tastes exactly the same. I've looked up thousands of instructions and could never replicate it.. I hope my next visit, the chef might allow me to learn how to make that dish, so I can enjoy it while living in europe.“

I got the shrimp and broccoli, sweet and sour shrimp, shrimp egg foo young, combo fried rice, beef egg roll, egg drop soup. Reviews for each below:

Shrimp and broccoli: 5/5, omg flavor was great, broccoli was so fresh and had a nice crunch to it. Would def get again

Sweet and Sour shrimp: 5/5, also super fresh and had great flavor, I like that the sauce is on the side unlike some places

Shrimp egg foo young: 3/5, it was super fresh and hot but I’ve had more flavorful versions. Tasted like egg shrimp and oil.

Combo fried rice: 3/5, not bad, pretty standard fried rice but something in it tasted like it was previously frozen maybe the vegetables but it was a bit distracting

Beef egg roll: 4/5, wrapper and veggies had good flavor but I wish they had a pork egg roll cause the beef threw me off and I don’t like their spring rolls, not bad though

Egg drop soup: 5/5, pretty standard but great flavor and just what I expected“

“I ordered 2 dinner plates (Orange Chicken and General Tso Chicken) for my family. The food was ordered online and was ready for pick up as they promised. Good prices and more than enough food for some left-overs! The food was tasty, chicken was good and flavorful and the rolls & rice were excellent. I would recommend this place in a heart beat.
