“Randomly found out about this place after having dinner with a friend at the sushi restaurant upstairs. It looked like a cute modernly decorated bar once we entered and it was. The music was GREAT, the bartenders were lovely and super attentive! The drinks had delicious interesting flavors and definitely gave you that kick you’re looking for after midnight. We got to sit at the bar to enjoy your cocktails.“

“This place is pretty authentic and highly recommended (I have been to Japan and Korea several times). Friendly staff, excellent service, and food is wonderful every single time. I've eaten inside with my boyfriend at least 10 times. It's a perfect quiet meal and date night location for us. Beautiful sashimi, sushi, delicious teriyaki, tempura, very very cozy...has the feel of being in Japan. Great portions and fair price for the area.“

“Always go here when visiting Alexandria with my friends. We always hang out here for a bit playing on the arcade games. The pizza here is amazing. Not overpriced either. The crust is perfectly crisp and it’s not a small slice either. You get what you pay for and it’s justified. I always get the pepperoni slice and it’s always great. The brownies taste like snickers but but also good. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend this place whenever visiting Alexandria.

Parking: There’s free parking in the neighborhoods around. You can park more closer to the restaurants but you will have to pay the street parking machine.

Kid-friendliness: They can play the arcade machines inside. It’s PAC-MAN and Street Fighter.“

“This was the 2nd time dining in at Ichiban. The food is fantastic and the service is amazing. Gary and Ling are the proud owners and ensure your experience is perfect. Ling makes the ramen broth from hand and Gary came and sat down with us to just chat. You don’t find this type of service and care these days. Ling gave us complimentary mochi and a box of macaroons. My parents had a family business in Nebraska and I know how much heart, work and money goes into making a business successful. I will definitely be back… next week! 😊“

“This place is and has been our favorite for the last 12 years at least, always fresh, tasty, service is great and the food and sushi is the best I have had anywhere. I have had most likely 70% of the menu and always enjoyed everything.

They have a cocktail/drink that contains a white fruit...it is to die for.“

“I can't really review the atmosphere or service because I ordered out. However, I was very pleased with my chicken teriyaki dinner entree. It was superb! I was a little reluctant at first because it looked like something I had never had from a japanese spot, but it was a very fresh and inviting dish.

“This is one of the best Japanese steakhouses I have ever been to. I have been to a handful but this place has always been my home. I have been coming to this place since I was a child and before the new owners. It has yet to disappoint me with anything. Atmosphere is always great and the food is even better. I miss Kawasaki because he would do the craziest things like throw an onion from across the room for a free meal (which I caught) some of the best memories of mine have come from here. I 100% suggest if you haven’t had hibachi before.
