“Hands down the absolute best food I’ve ever had! The lamb kebab was excellent — savory, flavorful, and delicious. And the scallion lamb soup was perfection on a plate! It wasn’t too light, not too heavy, and had the exact amount of spice to finish it. The staff was kind, let us wear Uighur traditional hats, and take photos at the stage. It was the best dine in experience! To top things off, the food is halal!! I cannot recommend this place enough.“

“Discovered Maman Joon by accident as most places were closed at 3:00pm. Their food was exceptional. We had the Kashk E’ Bademian (sautéed eggplant), Salad E’ Shirazi (cucumber salad), Beef Koobideh (ground beef kebab) and Baklava. It was flavorful and spiced without being too overpowering. Prices were very reasonable, too. Couldn’t believe they got all five star ratings until we tried it. No seating though so best for take away.“

The gyro was equally impressive, fresh, juicy, and incredibly satisfying. You can really tell they use quality ingredients in every bite. “Excellent, efficient and clean establishment. Food was ready when I walked in to pick it up at 10-15 min after I placed the order. The Tejas BBQ brisket taste was fantastic. The SriPraPhai drunken noodles with tofu was so-so. Its taste profile was more like Pad Thai than drunken noodles I have had from prior restaurants, so would not get this again. The taste wasn't bad, but not what I expected. Overall, I would still return and try this food concept chain again (similar to a food court in a mall with many restaurant options but with a small pick up window and assembly room in the back).“

“Kabob Joint is hands down the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. The food is absolutely amazing, always fresh, and full of flavor. I especially love the chicken kabob roll—it’s perfect every single time. The owner is an incredibly kind and generous person with outstanding hospitality; he even offered me a roll free of cost, which truly meant a lot. The kitchen is spotless, the service is excellent, and everything about this place is just perfect. I honestly love it so much that I could come here every day. Highly recommended!“

“We ( Maqaame-Ibrahim Mosque) had a great experience with Tasty Grills and Catering during the month of Ramadan. They provided catering for the Mosque twice a week, serving around 40 people weekly, and also handled a large iftar event for 100 people at the end of Ramadan—serving approximately 220 people in total.

Their service was consistently excellent, the food was delicious, and everything was well-organized. The quality and taste truly stood out, and they maintained a high standard throughout.

“This unassuming and hole in the wall restaurant is the real deal and what a treat! Had friendly service and deliciously authentic super FRESH food, made to order from scratch. I could see the cook in the kitchen and she ran a very clean and organized kitchen. Think homecooking and you'll be happy with what you get. “I enjoyed the chicken and lamb combo plate. It came with massive amounts of rice and a clay oven backed bread. Loved it. The atmosphere was 3 stars for me due to the crowdedness of the layout. Too many tables and hence too many people in an open area. Also took awhile to get our food. Paid over $20 per person.“

“I like their food, but they should make drinks mandatory with orders. Sometimes, for some reason, even if you select a drink, it doesn't appear on the order. And when you ask for it, they don't want to give it to you. And even when they have given it to me, they do it as if it were a courtesy. It's included in the price. If you explicitly say you don't want a drink, that's fine, but it's not always like that. And some employees should be more courteous in these situations.“

“This little hidden hotpot spot off Columbia Pike? Whew… somebody better protect this place before TikTok discovers it and the line wraps around the block.

I came in on a random Thursday night looking for “just a little broth,” and left spiritually healed, emotionally supported, and feeling that heat through my body in the best way possible.

John, the owner, deserves his flowers immediately. Man recommended the Szechuan base like a seasoned hotpot therapist, and as a certified hot-pepper survivor, I can confidently say my taste buds were doing backflips. The spice level didn’t just knock on the door — it moved in, paid rent, and redecorated the place okay!

And honestly? I love the vibe here. It’s not trying too hard to be some ultra-modern, neon-sign “aesthetic” restaurant where the chairs hurt your back and the menu needs subtitles. It’s simple, cozy, and feels real. The kind of spot where ordinary people can sit down, exhale, cook good food, and temporarily forget their problems in a bubbling pot of happiness.

“Not sure why there’s so many bad reviews, this place is great. Local, friendly staff that are attentive to their customers; it was our first time there and they answered our questions We even got two free samosas’s (chicken and veggie) while we waited for our food that were so flavorful and tasty! We got the butter chicken combo platter and chicken & lamb over rice; they were amazing ! Presentation was great and they were so flavourful! We also got a mango lassi that was sooo good; wonderfully creamy, fruity, and refreshing. Highly recommend giving a try and can’t wait to go back!“
