“The food was delicious and Alejandro was a great server! He was very personable and prompt! We had the salmon cakes, banzino fish, w/greens, red beans & rice. The only thing that needed a smidge more seasoning was the fried green tomatoes. The first time I ordered them they were seasoned perfectly. I also thoroughly enjoyed the nicely cooked breakfast potatoes! This is my 3rd trip here, and I will be back!“

“What a hidden gem Dionne’s and Scarlet & Oak are! I ordered the chicken sandwich and crab fries… and YUM! My friend ordered the fish sandwich and crab fries and our total was $28. For DC, that’s inexpensive but even better, it was delicious. The entire space is beautiful, clean, and bright. This would be a great place for many different types of events. I’m already thinking about who and what I can bring back to it so we ensure the local businesses within are supported and it stays open for years to come.“

“We did take out and couldn’t have been more surprised at how great the food it. We each had three good sized tacos, had plenty of meat and other yummy fillings, adequately messy so you know you just had an excellent taco. This will definitely need to be a repeat in our eating out list.“

“Everything was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The pupusas were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made — you can truly taste the love and tradition in every bite. The menu has great variety, and everything we tried was delicious, but the atole de elote was hands down my favorite. It was warm, creamy, and full of authentic flavor — seriously one of the best I’ve had!
The service was friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. You can tell they care about their food and their customers. This place is a true gem, and I will definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, high-quality food!“

“The seats are so comfy! The food was so fresh-tasting. The pizza, pasta, and cookies were all delicious. The customer service was very good. There was this one server that made our visit! She was so nice, and always made sure that we were doing good.“
