I had a great experience with 5-12! They were able to create an Indian-like design based on a few photos I sent them. The cake was the perfect size for our small party of four and was beautifully finished. I also really appreciate 5-12 making an extra trip out to their pickup site so I could get the cake at a more convenient time for me. My only other feedback was the cake was slightly on the sweet side and was a little dry by the time it was served. Regardless, 5-12 is definitely on my list of go-to custom cake places in the DC area.

We hired 5-12 desserts to bake our wedding cake. Chef Tai and Daneen were incredible to work with and they offered amazing customer service. Everything was flawless from the cake tasting to the discovery call to the delivery and execution of the cake. The cake was beautiful and very much embodied the vibe that we were going for, not to mention the cake was delicious!

The cake was a resounding success! Not only beautiful and interesting, but DELICIOUS! The lemon blueberry was requested by the birthday man, and a couple of guests even said they had never in their lives tasted more delicious cake. Even though the order was online and email, it was handled with ease and clarity. Delivery day, I didn’t have a chance to worry. Regular status updates were very reassuring. Thanks 5-12 Dessert for making my sister's birthday a success. The cake, dipped oreos, rice krispies, and dipped strawberries were delicious, beautiful and expertly designed. The vanilla strawberry cake was moist and delicious. Someone commented that the cake and treats were too pretty to eat! Daneen and Tai did an awesome job. I enjoyed working with these two amazing women. I gave them ideas and emailed photos to them and they did their thing. Everyone at the wedding enjoyed the cake. I kept telling my wife that the 6in 5 layered cake was going to be enough because everyone doesn't eat cake. It was enough cake for everyone. My cousin said it was really easy finding the kitchen for pickup. These ladies communication was phenomenal. Thank You again for everything.

Amazing experience, very professional, and great cakes! Tai and Daneen were very responsive, organized, and worked with me as I set budget constraints and they created options for me based on my preferences. I did both a smash cake and larger cake for others to enjoy for my child's first birthday. Pick up was easy, the cakes were beautiful and delicious. Highly recommend, book early (I did about 7 weeks in advance) and I will certainly use them again for my next occasion.
