I've been to nearly every venue in Baltimore and DC. Elbow was the act at the 9:30. The show was beyond expectations. The sound system was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to see any of my favorite bands here. Great place, great experience. (FYI, I designed loudspeakers for several years. I've logged many hours performing critical listening tests to loudspeakers. It's subjective, but I've heard poor systems before, like at the Anthem.)
Best music venue in dc in my opinion. I most recently went to see the silver sun pickups. In the past I’ve been there to see the local natives, twenty one pilots, Jain and many more. Their emo nights are also a lot of fun and I’m always down to see a white ford bronco show. Can get crowded but have never had an issue getting a drink from the bar
It was my first real concert and I had a great experience! The venue is intimate but well laid out. The staff is all incredibly friendly. It was intense being at the edge of the mosh pit as a small female but the pit crew did an excellent job making me feel safe and keeping the crowd in check. Bartenders were attentive and efficient and they always had lots of cold water available. 10/10.
